As a realtor, I was happy to get it scheduled the same day I went under contract in the evening around 6pm. The owner was very responsive to all my questions and concerns and that was very helpful. Owner also builds houses and is a contractor. My only complaint is that everything was not fully tested. I did my own walk around and found three windows that did not lock. I don't expect unseen issues to be reported and I also appreciated the fast report same day even when the owner was busy . I like that you can order extra services such as wind mit and 4 point after instead of at the beginning. That was helpful in pricing as well. Oh and Supra access is also greatly appreciated! As a First time VA home buyer, Glenn the Owner did my 4-point inspection. All came out well, However fast forward 9 months. Glenn was hired again by new buyers and Glenn put in the inspection a cosmetic problem. Now when speaking to him about why that wasn't in the first report, He Quoted "My opinion was it wasn't significant enough", When asked what his job was as an inspector, and acknowledging that issue was there back when I bought the house but he "Felt" it didn't warrant being in the report. Now as I was the one buying the home, not him; This should have been put in the first report; and I could have gotten the original owner to fix. Now I have to come out of pocket 10k. Glenn refused to settle the issue; even after acknowledging he saw it there in the first inspection. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. As knowing a lot of realtors and apart of the local realtor association; I will be making sure they are aware to stay AWAY from this business. read more

They talk a big game and charge a high price. I got a very detailed inspection report upon completion. Upon moving into the home I noticed some major misses by the inspector Hamza. There were multiple plumbing code violations missed ( obvious ones at that ). There wer no shut off valves on the toilet in master bath. So if the toilet starts to flood the only way to shut it off is to head to the main shut off. This is way out of code and should have been caught by the initial inspection. Secondly. The water heater has no drip pan or drain installed. So, any excess water run off is falling right onto the subfloor. You would expect a company that charges this much and is supposed to be top notch would not miss these things. Don't waste your money on this company. read more

I highly recommend this company. I am a real estate agent who works hard for my customers. Many of my customers ask me for referrals for handymen, air conditioning companies, attorneys and such. At the top of my list of inspectors is DG Construction & Inspections. I had a customer who got a counter offer and we needed to do the inspection really quickly before putting a lot of money forward. Glenn Fricke not only answered the phone he did the inspection a few hours later after already doing two that day! Normally, it's easy to schedule with Glenn and have the inspection done in a few days, even in today's crazy market. Now my favorite part is how he presents the report. I've seen lots of inspection reports. Some are easy to read and some are...well hand written. Glenn emailed the report and summary with clear pictures and a detailed description for each issue that he found. My customers have no problem understanding what the issues are with the house and if they have any questions he encourages them to call him. If needed, Glenn will video tape the "needs attention" things. Uut of state buyers need not worry if they can't be at the inspection. A double bonus is he offers Wifi when he inspects the house!! DG Inspekts completed a home inspection on property I am purchasing. Inspection was no personal - they did provide feedback at the end but appeared they did not want questions while they were completing inspection. As a new resident of Florida I had several questions that should have been answeered. Did not feel a part of the home inspection process. They did find a bad GFI outet in the kitchen, however, inspection report failed to mention it. They failed to run dishwasher as a part of thier inspection to determine if it worked or even if it leaked. No I would not hire this company again. I have been through several home inspections and this was the most non client friendly. read more

We have been having some flooring moisture issues in our recently purchased home. While our home was built in 2006, insulation has fallen in the crawlspace, and the plywood subfloor has been left exposed. Our floors are cupping and buckling as a result. A local hardwood flooring company suggested that we call an inspector. After reading many reviews, I called Glenn. Even though we didn't truly need an inspection (since we know the source of our problem), he was kind enough to let me pick his brain a bit, and suggested options for the best way to remedy the situation. Being from AZ and a relied on yelp user I took to yelp to find a home inspection company for a home I'm purchasing in St. Pete's, Fl. I saw this co. and granted it wasn't my first choice they did answer the phone. I needed a company asap. I booked them and they did the service the next day. They assured me in two separate phone calls that I'd have the report within 24 hours. 26 hours later I called and they said they'd call the inspector to ensure I'd get the report. 30 hours and $450 later I've got nothing.... He even squeezed me in on short notice during a packed week. He also arranged for a simultaneous termite inspection. Glenn and his partner did an outstanding job with our inspection. He is very thorough and allows you to accompany him on the house inspection. He explains things very clearly in "plain language" about very technical aspects or observations he makes. Upon going under contract on a home, our realtor immediately contacted him and he was extremely responsive and able to set up an inspection within 48 hours. I can't say if that is his normal turn-around time because every situation is unique, but we were very pleased with the time-frame from contact to inspection. Following the inspection, he was able to furnish completed reports for the wind mitigation, 4-pt, WDO (Termite), and pool inspection by the evening of the same day the inspection was conducted. Again, every inspection service is unique so I'm sure reports can't always be completed on the same day, but I can assume within 24 hours you'll have your reports so that you can continue with your home closing or further negotiation. I would definitely use this business in the future and would highly recommend him to others in the Tampa Bay area. He's in St. Pete and the home we had him inspect was in Largo so fairly close by. read more
