One big plus , they were able to deliver my order the same day I made the purchase, and the delivery fee was $100. Despite the lack of warmth in customer service, I'd go back if I need more rocks in the future. I'd recommend them if you're looking for good prices and same-day delivery, just don't expect a smile with your service, after all, they're selling rocks, not charm.

Ordering and paying for the gravel over the phone was a breeze, and the contractor picked up the gravel. Now, this year, it's finally time to upgrade the exterior of my own home. I perused Tropical's website and then called them with a few questions. The woman on the phone was extremely helpful! We drove there to see the stone selections in person and everyone working there was friendly and knowledgeable. When we were ready to order, we checked out a few other vendors and Tropical had the best pricing and selection. When I called to place the order, the woman on the phone offered to help calculate how much was needed - we had that handled, but it was nice of her to offer, especially since some folks are not mathematically inclined (converting square feet to cubic yards is not something most people do on the regular!). The delivery process was a breeze! I got a call when the driver was leaving the facility so I knew just when he would arrive. He helped me set down some tarps so that the dust clean up was minimized. The whole process was completely stress free, and my yard looks FANTASTIC!! Note that delivery is not free and they do just dump the gravel in the most convenient spot for their truck (in our case, it was the street in front of the house). In all, I was very pleased with the price and service here, and I am thrilled with the upgrade to my yard!
