This office is in an industrial area in Seattle, but the good thing is there's tons of parking and it's not in a super busy area like downtown or Chinatown. I had to pickup a package here even though the tracking number/info says that my package would be delivered. They have never followed my delivery preferences and instructions on the app. Seems like they also don't know or like to use call boxes etc... they'll call your phone not try to actually access your bldg/unit and you'll get an email that you weren't there while you're sitting right there. I would like to express my extreme frustration. I have followed my package via your tracking system and it has been on hold for 3 days now. I have called and have been told it would be delivered that day. Then I was told it would be the next day on another call. It did not get delivered so I called again and then they told me it would be delivered the next day. And now, as of today on 10/28/2020, I have called again to make sure that it will be delivered today as I have been told twice now, but your website still says that it is on HOLD (which I never asked it to be put on hold). I have ZERO faith that it will be delivered today as I have been told several times that it would. I will believe it when I have the actual package in my hands. I was assigned a Scheduled Pickup Time on March 16, 2023 between 15:00 - 18:00 EST. For this reason I took time off from work between those hours. In the meantime the pickup personnel from DHL instead showed up around 12:49 and left a note on the door that he missed my presence which is not what was scheduled at that hour. Since my security system alerted me when I was at work regarding this person's presence at my door, I therefore called the DHL office immediately about the early visit and the incident and the representative over the phone assured me that pickup will happen as per the assigned time, so I proceeded for my home by calling it off from work for the remaining day, after which I waited for all these hours and then towards the end of the scheduled hours slot I called again the DHL representative and this time I was told the pick up cannot happen today and it is scheduled for the next day, this without any prior notice or warning, they assumed I will be having another whole day off from work just so I can wait for the unreliable pickup person to show up. This is highly unprofessional on DHL to disregard other people's time and resources. The DHL representative over the phone gave me another option which is to drive about an hour away from my home address and drop it off at the DHL pickup location which now is going to cost me more on my time and the money for the gas as I cannot keep asking for time off at my work and depend on un-reliable pickup personnel at DHL and risk getting things delayed because of unprofessionalism at DHL end. Their "attempted" delivery is probably just driving by my apartment, and not seeing anyone sitting on a lawn chair by the front door waiting to sign for the package, immediately driving away. Seriously how hard is it to call or text that you're downstairs. I had about $600 worth of plants in that package.. When I called first, the representative said they're unable to reroute it and to pick it up from the service point. This company is absolutely terrible. My shipment arrived on a Friday and I received a message that my address was wrong. It was not. So I contacted them via the only way possible the chat option. I was told it would be delivered on Monday. Saturday rolls around and I still see it says the address is wrong so I reached out again confirming my address now the guy says it will be delivered soonest Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around and nothing gets delivered. So I contact them again and ask if there is a problem. The man says the package is delayed and the soonest I can get it delivered is Thursday. I ask him if it can be possibly be delivered today, Wednesday, since it has been on "out for delivery" since Tuesday and he says no. Then shortly after, I get a message saying I denied shipment for today Wednesday! So I contacted them again and now this guy tells me I refused shipment today since I scheduled for shipment for Thursday which I never did. I had simply inquired on the status of my package and why it wasn't delivered on Tuesday and even asked if it could be delivered today! The only reason I agreed with the shipment for Thursday was because that's the soonest the man said they would deliver! I never denied shipment! Here is the timeline of the events: 12/25: received text authorizing dhl to drop off without signature. Replied yes. 12/26: received text saying package could not be delivered due to incorrect address. I called dhl and confirmed my address. There was no change since they had the correct one. Gave them my apartment name and directions to make it easier. Came home later that day to a dhl notice on my door saying it wasn't delivered, due to no signature, even though I had already authorized it to be delivered without a signature. Then, was told it would be delivered by Friday at the end of the day. 12/27: package is on hold and not our for delivery. I called and reached out to dhl again.... verified the address again. He said it was put on hold due to an address change. I never changed my address. I only confirmed it. He told me it would be delivered on Monday by the end of the day. 12/29: I have a missed call and voicemail. The voicemail said that he tried to deliver it to the leasing office but couldn't since they "said I didn't live there" and told me to call back at the number he listed. He also said " I noticed you updated your address to the same address". So the employees I've spoke to on the phone updated my address when I was only confirming it with them since they wanted to ensure they had the right one on file. No changing needed to be done. I tried to call back 10 minutes after receiving the voicemail. A prompt said I could not reach the number since it isn't during business hours. My leasing office wasn't open this day so he probably went to the apartments next door although I gave them the name to my apartments on 12/26. 12/30: They told my boyfriend they couldn't deliver the package due to being "unable to locate the address." Well, they got the address right the first time when they left the notice on my door, so it shouldn't be a problem. We paid extra money for faster shipping and now our package delivery is late and they are making us go out of our way to pick up the package from their facility, when this was their fault. I am now having to do their job for them since they're unable to follow the gps to deliver a package. They said they will have package to DHL center by end of the day Tuesday. 12/31: Package was put out for delivery. It never arrived to the office where I have to pick it up. I had a short shift at work today and could have easily picked it up but it never arrived there. This is starting to get to be very disappointing. I'm making it easier for them by using my own gas and delivering it for them since they can't use a gps and they still can't deliver it to their own office..... 12/2: Kept waiting for the package to be delivered. I work about an hour away with traffic from where I now have to pick it up since "they can't deliver it". We called them at 4:30 package is still not there and they close at 5:30. Package finally arrived at a little after 7. Although I was off work at that time I live too far away to make it there by close. Pretty disappointing getting it this late when kept telling us other dates and now we are doing their job by picking up the package and bringing it to my house. They keep making up excuses and saying it is the change of address that is causing this although the address has been the same the entire time. They apparently don't know how to use a gps. Avoid at all cost! Long rant starting...now! I placed an online order through a clothing website that consequently uses DHL Express for their delivery. I was home on the day my package was scheduled to arrive, using the online tracker, I noticed it was marked as delivered...immediately went to the door, looked for the package but it was no where to to be found. I was livid, for one that package contained my graduation dresses, accessories, and shoes. Since I had one graduation 2 days after the scheduled delivery I had no choice but to go to the mall and spend more $$$ to replace some of the items I already bought. Secondly, I specified that the package did not need to be signed to avoid this EXACT situation. It is now 4 days after the scheduled delivery, with the hope that I can receive my package before my next graduation ceremony, I called the customer service line everyday for status updates. I should mention that the specifics of why my package wasn't delivered were never consistent! They claimed to have called and left voicemails for the past couple of days. But of course I never received them. On top of that, I'm currently trying to get a refund or reshipment from the clothing website but since the tracking number on the DHL website displays my package as delivered it has made that attempt nearly impossible. So without money to purchase the rest of the items that I don't have, I'm really hoping that DHL follows through and delivers my package today. read more

Robot voice asks: "what is the latest time that the package HAS to be picked up?" I think cool! I can have them pick up my package early so I don't have to sit around all day waiting for a pick-up and actually work... so I proceed to answer in my own robotic voice for some reason and say "2.... I shipped a phone to Jamaica as a birthday gift for my niece. I asked very specifically if it would be delivered to her personally by DHL and not given to a "broker" which is just basically a thief that holds your item until you pay them. They assured me repeatedly that they would deliver the item to her personally. So, sure enough, they gave it to a broker that held the item for a ransom of $100. Mind you, this is on top of the $100 I already paid DHL to ship the item. Of course, I contacted customer support and was met with what I would generously describe as indifference. They completely backpedaled on their claim that they don't use brokers. The best they could do is allow me to file a complaint which is the customer service equivalent of doing nothing. I have used DHL Express before and it has been non-stop issues. Their customer service varies. I called three times for different issues and for one caller being rude, two of the three callers were helpful, friendly, and attempted to be understanding; however, one of the callers was rude and indifferent. They all could not do anything to help with the package issues, but at least two of them tried to help me. For my first use of DHL Express, I had requested to be called when my package was at the door since I needed to sign for it; however, I received no phone call and was told by the tracking notifications that it failed to deliver since I was not home. During this time, I was sitting inside my apartment, which is on the second floor of a three story locked building. I called DHL and they told me it would be delivered the following day, thankfully someone let the delivery person in so they could deliver it to my door. I never received a phone call, only a notification through text that it was delivered. For my second use of DHL Express, I wanted to make sure I would be called so that the delivery would not take another day to deliver my package. I put that I wanted to be called, but if I did not answer my phone to just leave my package outside by the mailboxes. I never received a call and the package was marked as failed delivery; therefore, I called DHL and they said it was due to them needing to deliver to my front door. I told them that I put very specific instructions on the request form and those instructions were not followed. I was told it would not be delivered until the following day and so now I have to stay home again to receive my package, because I know they wont call me and they will just mark it as failed delivery. I shop online frequently from a variety of countries and usually use express shipping, DHL is the only company I have had this many issues with. read more

I figured I'd be heading back into this location again tomorrow to pick up my package. Just now, however, an extremely professional and courteous DHL driver hand-delivered my time-sensitive items right to my door. He was genuinely happy he caught me to make sure I received it. It's not the easiest building to get into by far: my phone was off to boot - despite their friendly customer service staff leaving me TWO voicemails in an attempt to re-deliver the items to me today, I had not seen or responded to either one. Please dont use DHL service, if you have perishable food items. We were expecting an international package to USA , they missed the flight on thursday and my package got delayed. When I again tried calling customer care the next day, I was told the package arrived destination city and was given to third party for delivery. Sad part is the representatives dont have the contact of third party people and they dont even know who they are or with whom my package is or the status of the pacakge. When I called them at 4 PM on friday they told my package is with third party company and is the on the way and will be delivered by 6PM . When I again called at 6 PM they told 8 PM. When I called at 8 PM they told we will be getting it by 9PM OR 10 PM. We then asked them to connect to there manager and then he says its still at the facility center and we wont receive it till Monday. I am not even sure if we are going to get it Monday or Not. These folks really deserve a negative star territory rating. I had a clock shipped from the UK and DHL delivered it to the wrong building. Now, DHL could simply not cop to an erroneous delivery despite the photo that I sent of my building, versus the photo of the building to which they delivered. I was shuffled around from person to person to person who always started the conversation with "I hope you are having a great day." It was so trite and derivative. Literally, I spoke with five individuals, no one taking responsibility for this item. Finally, I was sent to a "research center" who, allegedly, looked into my missing package. And, get this, friends! They said it had been delivered to the right address 'cause their GPS "said so." Of course, their van could have been stopped anywhere on my block but this doesn't assure that their goof of a driver made it to the right building. I notified my vendor in the UK and he contacted his DHL contact who commentated that DHL doesn't reimburse for anything that has been lost, even if it is their fault. So, readers, do try and dissuade your vendors from using this dumbass outfit. read more

This is a review of DHL overall, not this particular outlet, after all I am sure they are really nice people. I have a package being shipped from Germany to Seattle, I had an update on October 8th that DHL received the package in Saulheim, Germany, then nothing until October 20th, when I get an update that it has made it a WHOLE 44 Kilometers (27 Miles) to Frankfurt Airport in Germany. I can only assume that they had somebody walk the package to the Airport, with most days off along the way. At this rate (3.7 Km/Day) I expect to receive the package sometime in the year 2021. And, oh by the way, you can not track the package at the US DHL website, you HAVE TO TRACK IT AT THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN website. Use FEDEX or UPS, at least they don't make you play guess the website to track a package, never mind they would fire people for sitting on a package for 12 days. read more

Customer service sucks .. they provide you with wrong information and then later on charge you extra money. My 3lb box turned into 10lb box . When i filled out the form online with the measurements and weight it never mention that DHL does their own weight later and turn it into a volumetric weight. I don't mind paying extra but it is nice to know what your paying for ahead of time. Their delivery system is good. Package got delivered on time but their customer service is really bad. I am expecting a package from DHL and the alert I received via text said I would receive my package "By end of day". Given my current schedule, this was a bit too ambiguous of a time frame. DHL is the worst courier service out there. Beware when trying to get a parcel to Canada. They charged me $60 to get it there on the 23rd of Dec. made an "attempt" to deliver on the 24th. Never knocked on the door, just left a card saying we owe $20 for customs and brokerage fees on a $45 present. ($2 which was customs) When I contacted them, they said if I paid the fee they'd have it delivered that day. Never happened! Now my grandchildren have no presents for Christmas. I've used UPS and FedEx before and they've NEVER charged brokerage fees. #DHLsucks# Don't trust it if you want to get something there on time without extra costs!! read more

The people over at DHL Express customer service are very friendly, but this is among the worst shipping experiences of my life. I paid $17... let me repeat that for extra emphasis: SEVENTEEN DOLLARS... to have a couple of sweaters express shipped for a holiday gathering I would be attending. This was Tuesday and the party was on Sunday. The shipping estimate was 1-3 days, which was more time than needed. Estimated delivery was Friday. Jump ahead to Friday. I receive an e-mail explaining that the package was undeliverable. Somehow DHL was using a physical address that does not accept mail, not the P.O. Box number I had given. I come to find out that they don't ship to P.O. Boxes (this was not stated ANYWHERE when I placed this order -- granted, that's probably on the store and not the shipper, but if the shipper is having to change the given address, it might be a good idea to contact the recipient first?). I called customer service to explore my options. If I were to change the address or select a (not-so-)local drop off spot, the package would have not arrived until the following Monday, defeating the purpose of the order in the first place. I asked the representative to please cancel the order and return it to the sender, which I was assured was in process before I got off the phone. I then contacted the actual seller who informed me they would refund my order as soon as the package was returned from DHL. Jump ahead to Monday. I receive another e-mail from DHL Express notifying me that the package has been left at the exact drop location (about a 45 minute drive from where I'm at) that I told them not to. I called customer service, this time a little irate, just looking for an explanation as to why they would have done this when a completely different resolution had already been agreed upon days before. The representative tried explaining to me that the SENDER has to request the return and that the recipient can't make that call. Or something along those lines, I couldn't really make sense out of the reasoning. Now, sadly, I'm going to have to waste the time, energy, and gas picking up a package that is just going to be returned immediately anyway. I called DHL on August 5th to ask about shipping brewing yeast to Germany for my Master's research. I spoke with customer service and then Hazardous Materials departments to confirm that what I'm shipping is okay. They said yes. August 17th I confirm all above information just to be sure and received the same response. August 25th, I schedule a pickup for my package to occur on August 30th and fill out the order online. I selected the appropriate code on the site for live sample of yeast and the order was successfully placed. August 30th, package was checked by DHL delivery person who opened her book and confirmed yeast are okay and the contents are acceptable. I received no email confirmation of order and the recipient received no email of tracking number either. September 4th I called to confirm the package is in transit and checked tracking number and both representative and site said the package was on the way, scheduled for September 4th by the end of the day. It doesn't arrive. I called today September 5th after I received an email from my coworker that the package was returned to sender. When I spoke with a representative they said the computer showed it was still in transit. The delivery person who returned it said it was stopped by German customs. This I know wasn't true because the recipient gets a standard notification when that happens so they can vouch for the sender. Eventually I got through to someone who told me it never left Washington State, and I never got notified. Eventually, after being on hold and bounced around for 2.5 hours I was told that DHL does not ship live yeast from the USA, despite repeatedly telling me otherwise AND having an online option to send live yeast. When I spoke with a manager named Erin, she told me there was nothing she could do. When I expressed how this set me back months in my schooling and thousands of dollars of travel to work on these samples in Germany she was completely unapologetic in tone and said "I'm sorry you feel that way." I am beside myself with frustration as I did everything correctly, followed clear rules, and double-checked every step to ensure redundancies and still I'm left with nothing. read more
