The bacon was perfectly crispy and greasy, exactly how bacon should be' The Philly cheesesteak fries were delicious, though they were a bit heavy for my personal taste. There is hardly a food truck I don't like. Why? I love the history behind them. The craziness of…read morethe new rage, from an oldie but goodie, and the committment from the owner to make his/her greateness available at reasonable price and in cool digs. Now, I wouldn't call the New York State Capital lawn cool digs, but seeing as it just a few blocks away and plenty of green grass, park benches, picnic tables, and other seating, how can one resist coming out here for a stroll and a great bite to eat? Not to mention, it is the only place in Albany where you can find 4-5 food trucks to choose from, which makes me feel sad, as that number is low compared to other progressive cities like, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin, Dallas, New York. It also upsets some people that the capitol gets special treatment for placement of food trucks, but let's save that for another day. Michele's looked good. I was simply craving a burger and fries. However, I've learned from my food trucking, that fries can be somewhat of a challenge. Either soggy, dried, or just not right. I hate suffering through that, so instead, I ordered the tots they have. Being a chemist by nature, I don't know what it is with tots, but you can hardly mess them up. They always come out crispy on outside and nice and hot inside. Michele's did not disappoint. I ordered my 0.3lb burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The film broke loose and this movie came to a screeching halt when I heard, "We are out of onions." "Ahhhhgg," I thought, as in my opinion a burger just isn't a burger without onions. Before I could complete my sigh of disbelief, the server said, "We can put some fried onions on it, if you want. Will take a little longer." I was ecstatic. Not because I got my onions, albeit in a different form, but the food truck guy did not have to offer this, but he did. Why? I don't know, ask him, but I can guess it is because they have that food truck service mentality of "Let's take care of our special customers." It did take a little longer but was worth it. The cook handed me a freshly cooked cheeseburger with fried onions and tater tots. He even warned me that the tots were piping hot just out of the fryer. Really nice touch. I will definitely be back and try their other menu items which look really good including the clam, even though I am not a big clam fan.

I chose pulled pork with potato salad and Mac and cheese. He chose brisket with Mac and cheese and the beans! Everything was delicious! Fast, friendly service!!!! If you come here I would definitely make room for them even though there are many options to choose from! In the food court you can sit outside or in. We will be back!! Wanted to try the Alabama white sauce but they were sold out! I had hoped they had a Carolina mustard sauce, however their BBQ sauce was pretty good. They do not service alcoholic beverages but I believe some neighboring restaurants had margaritas for sale if you prefer to wash your BBQ down with that, however tasted amazing with my Diet Coke! Go check them out, good bbq is hard to find!

Cost 8/26 was $29 per webpage menu(Uber Eats adds about $10 before 'discounts'). Overall pretty decent bbq for the area. Brisket was served without sauce(the correct way - add if you like it) and was properly sliced and tender. Slightly on the dry side. It was a little bland without sauce but not overly salted like some other places. Ribs were tasty with a dry rub. Menu stated 2 ribs but I was given 3 slightly smaller ribs. The beans with burnt ends were very good. The coleslaw was also well done - not too wet nor too vinegary. If you are a light eater this is easily enough for 2 meals. I am giving them 3 stars based on my country wide scale (includes TX) but I'd likely give then 4 stars if limited to this area. Only real pain point is the price. But that is just the way things are these days.

Their sauce is a little on the sweeter side, which I like, and it tastes homemade. Their regular slices are thin and nicely crispy which reminds me of home in Queens. The dough and crust *actually has flavor* which is nice for a change. It's hard to find that in the capital region. At first I thought I was just a hater but nah, mot of the pizzarias here kinda suck. This one is the first that legitimately impressed me since moving yup here from NYC. I also like their desserts. My only critique is that I wish they added more chicken to the buffalo slice, but even then it's just because it was tasty :)

And very happy the trattoria is located less than three miles away! Take out order was for four Chicken Cutlet Parm Dinners with Ziti for my husband and older grands. We were impressed with the garlic knots (two per dinner) that are included instead of a blah roll. A small salad with tomato and pepperocini is also included with the dinner. All for $17.95! Kudos and compliments to the chef on the quality of the marinara sauce which is pleasantly chunky and flavorful, and it even has bits of fresh basil. It is superior to many sauces made/served in some Italian restaurants. It was so good that I am a little embarrassed to reveal that I ate one small container that was included with a spoon. I put another on top of my slice of broccoli white pizza. A negative in my opinion: there was too much melted mozzarella cheese on top of the dinner. I prefer less mozzarella. However, no one else noticed. I added two slices of broccoli white pizza from the case to my order along with a "broccoli ricotta foldover" for tomorrow. There were many other offerings available in the case if you had not preordered or wanted to pick your own variety of pizza slices, foldovers, or knots. The helpful server offered to heat it in oven, if wanted. The several sweets I saw in the case looked very tempting, but I resisted today. There were even chocolate covered small cannoli, cheesecake, and Italian cookies available! Please check out my photos of the case. We look forward to trying other items on the thoughtful menu such as the pizzas, Stromboli, soup and desserts. We will order again very soon. The owner put my order in my car without me even asking and even with other customers at the counter. He was pleasant and courteous.
