I have been a patient here for many years now. Other then only seeing Dr. Tan once a year when see is required to keep her practice. The Nurse Practitioners are great and treat me better then the Doctor ever has. They listen and know me better and read my file and ask questions and wait for answers to make sure I get the care I need. Follow up from the messages you leave are sometimes lost or disappear. So you may have to check back at a later time. But I have found a practice I trust and they are hard to find and will not leave read more

After my daughter's thyroid biopsy, she was informed she would receive the results during a televisit - after she paid another $70! WTH! She has insurance so she told them to send the results to her referring physician and, 10 days later they did so. Do they not know how to use a computer system? That should have been done automatically. As for the office staff reviews - the fish rots from the head down. Who hired this bunch of rude, lazy incompetents and who supervises them? Obviously management does not see this behavior as a problem. Someone needs to explain to them that they work for the patients, the patients do not work for them. It takes months to get an appointment. The appointment scheduler is not professional, friendly or helpful. She is inexperienced, seems to care less for the patients or her job. Recent experience with the Diabetes and Thyroid Center of Fort Worth, and that shared by others on-line, portrays it as being very provider-centric. The first indication is that new patients are not permitted to be late for their initial appointment. Due to heavy traffic, my wife was eight minutes late for hers, and her appeal to be seen at that time was denied by the on-site manager. I am appalled at the way I was treated there today. I switched to this practice a couple of years ago and was originally so happy with the providers. Today I was 11 minutes late to my appointment due to unexpected construction on the highway. I was told they have a 10 minute policy. I have never been late before. I was told they could not see me because I was one minute outside of the allowed window. I have never experienced anything like this at any doctors office. I was told the policy was in the appointment reminders sent to me. I never got any reminders for this appointment. I was told they sent 3. The person at the front desk was so rude and dismissive. I asked to speak to to administrator and she also told me too bad. The next appointment I could get isn't until February. I drive quite a long way to go to this provider. I had to take time out of the office for this, and had made arrangements for my child to be picked up at school. I wasn't seen because of ONE MINUTE! They have no respect for their patients. Something has changed in this practice based on my experience and the other recent reviews. Almost all the problems are with the front desk. Should have followed the other reviews here. Terrible experience. It's the NP you end up with's way or the highway. They do not give a damn about your wishes for your own health even when you're demonstrating better diabetes control than 95% of their patients. The nurses are not well trained in basic diabetes care. The dietician they MAKE patients see (just to charge your insurance) is terrible. The visit lasts 15 minutes then she emails you these outdated meal plans I am going to post here. You can get better meal plans on Pinterest and these meal plans are guaranteed to keep you diabetic with their high sugar and carb content! I have been trying to get to see this doctor for almost two months and today was the first day that I got a person on the phone. Then they hung up. I called back and was told that they received my referral last week. My surgeon told me over a month ago that they had sent it. I explained that I am out of thyroid medication and they said that they would call me back within ten days. I have no confidence in that because I have left numerous messages and have had none of them returned. What I find remarkable is that I have never even been to the office and I have experienced almost every negative experience in their 1.6 review rating. This office chose to reschedule an appointment I had been waiting months for. They discovered the morning of my appointment they didn't have all of THIER required paperwork from my PCP. No choice but to reschedule. Rearranged my life again to come today. due to traffic I was 10 minutes late. THEY WOULD NOT SEE ME because I was late! Nothing against the medical services, but customer service and office management in general are probably the worst I have suffered in a very long time. I have been trying to get a hold on them with no luck. My doctor has been also trying to get them through the doctor's line with the same results. And in the meantime, after not being able to get the results of my biopsy performed two weeks ago, sending emails, spending time on hold, I am freaking out. * UPDATE - I did address all my concerns to the office manager and did receive a very nice response from the office administrator explaining all the staffing problems they have had. They can't seem to keep a good staff and have had quite a turnover which has escalated their front office issues. It was a caring response to my experience with their office and they are working on their communication issues with their phone and portal situation. I appreciate the response and addressing my concerns. I will be talking to my provider as well at my next appointment and hopefully they can remedy the problem or I will transfer my care. It was something to get a caring response back however and I will give them credit for that. I have been a patient in this office for a year. My experience has not been good. I wish I would have come here and read all these reviews before going to this office. I haven't read any one star comment yet that isn't believable after my experience with them. Some of the experiences shared here I too have gone through and are part of my personal experience. I have recently written the office manager a letter, I'm awaiting her response. I have an appointment scheduled for my check-up and to go over my concerns with the nurse I've been seeing at my appointments. I will give them a chance to redeem themselves by responding accordingly to my concerns and the concerns of everyone writing these reviews. If I was a doctor in this group with any power whatsoever I would review my office staff immediately and get to the root of the lack of communication with patients. I believe in confronting issues and giving people a chance to right their mistakes and be accountable for poor patient services. I said, can't you drop me as an existing patient and sign me up as a new patient and they said not at this time. First they wouldn't transfer my records to Southlake location which is closer for me than driving to south Fort Worth, and now they refuse to transfer me as a new patient with Chris. I love dr.Baja but every time I get rescheduled I get screwed over, and I have already waited 6 months for an appointment and then I get a rescheduled because of weather. They have some of the worst desk staff. They take forever to answer the phone, and they have no useful information once they do. Also, my PA -- I barely know her, she doesn't communicate with me to let me know if I need to go get labs even though she ordered them and no one called to tell me (maybe that's on the desk folks); and once I do get bloodwork to them, I wait and wait after having received the results for her to call/schedule a discussion. I usually have to initiate communication. I would not use them except they're on my insurance. They apparently HAD an office near me, which I asked for, but instead I have to go down Chisholm Trail Expressway to see someone. 45 minutes plus tolls. Ugh. read more

Very disappointed today, I've gone here several years. My doctor left the practice and was assigned to another doctor, made the appointment in July , arrived this morning for my 8:30 a.m. appointment to be told my appointment was canceled due to the assigned doctor not taking over the other doctors patients. The office is the worst service I have ever had for a doctor. The doctors here are adequate when you can get in but schedule is constantly being changed and no notice given. Don't waste your time because they will waste yours. I was refused to be seen because according to the lady at check-in I was 1 minute late! YES, 1 Minute Late! Not 15, Not 10, Not even 5 but 1 minute late! I walked in directly off the elevator there were already people checking in, another lady got off the elevator with me and so she was waiting to check in before me and then it was my turn. When it was my turn, I told the lady my name and then the lady at check-in said I will have to check and see if we can still see you because your late, I was so thrown off and confused when she said it, I questioned her back and said I'm late, and she said yes, your late by 1 Minute! I said seriously. She said yes, I'll have to see if we can still see you. She then tried calling the back and no one answered so she then got up from her desk went to the back and supposedly checked with them and came back and told me that they said I would have to reschedule because I was late! She then asked if I would like to make that appointment, i laughed and told her no thank you I would not like to reschedule with them for being 1 Minute late. Heck I probably lost that 1 minute just waiting to check in. I could understand if I was late by 5 minutes, even though most offices give you 10-15 minutes of grace time, but this was literally 1 minute. My Dad has been going there for years and I was so blown away by what happened I called him when I got back to my car and asked him if he's ever been late and had to rescheduled and he said I'm sure I have been late over the years before but he was only turned away 1 time when he was over 15 minutes because he wrote the wrong time down. My experience can best be compared to an elementary game of 'grapevine' where i provide my necessary and important information to a staff member that then gets passed through so many ears, its integrity and accuracy is completly lost. My Dr. sent over the referral and 11 days later I called them to get the appointment. A couple days later I called to change the date due to wanting a blood test done first. I felt like I was talking the "whose on 1st" game with that person. After 4 rounds of trying to explain why, I gave up and kept the appointment because I could not get my point through to her and she told me if I canceled I could never cancel another appointment with them ever again or I could find a new place to go. That is their policy. Good idea. I was there the typical Dr. appt. time. In at 2:45 out at 5:00 but in that time I did have a biopsy so not too bad. The front desk took my drivers license for their paper work and did not give it back. I forgot all about it. They did not bother to bring it back to me in the office, nor did they bother to call me to tell me it was there incase I had been looking. 4 days later I had to go back to get it when I realized. The nurses were Awesome which is the only reason for the 3 stars. I would not chose to go back here. They are bad about answering the phone too. read more

This place is amazing!! The staff is always so friendly and the front desk staff is quick to check guests in. If there is a long wait, the staff makes sure that everyone gets seen at a fair time. The doctors are always courteous but I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Darren Lackan. He is very patient, intelligent, and never fails to make me feel comfortable. He is very busy since he was rated as one of the top endocrinologists in Fort Worth. I drive about an hour to see him, but it is worth it. This place even offers in-house radiation which saves me a drive to the hospital! The only downside is that I am placed on the hold line when I call, but I have never been on hold for more than 10-15 minutes. The reviews below me either are exaggerating or need to learn the art of patience. Overall, I recommend this place to all my friends, family members, and coworkers. If you love showing up for your appointment, only to be told, it's been canceled or moved, being on hold to talk to someone for over an hour, overall being disrespected then THIS is the practice for you. The doctor I went to here was OK; i'm thankful I'm not dealing with a severe endocrine disorder as I'm sure many of the patients that must go here. I've been dealing with this practice since 2017 and I simply won't do it anymore. I'm tired of taking off work (losing that pay as well) driving all the way into Fort Worth only to be told that "oh he's sick" or the bone scan employee isn't here. They will lie and say they've left messages or they tried to contact you, but they haven't yet I receive multiple texts/emails re my appointment. Basic disrespect. The people must get paid so poorly in that office and/or treated so bad hence they turn around and treat the patients poorly. It's so sad that there seems to be a shortage of adequate endocrinologists in the FW area, I felt I HAD to go here at first. Wow!!! Referred to this place by my PCP for biopsies on my throat. Procedure done, and waited 2 weeks for results. Low and behold, when I called in for my virtual appt to get my results, the billing gal, Toni, intercepted the call demanding I pay my $775 bill NOW. I explained I'll pay when I receive an invoice/EOB from them or my Ins co. It was only TWO weeks ago I had svcs there. I said I'd pay after I speak with the RN to get my results, and during the call she could email me the detailed statement. NOPE!!! That wasn't gonna work for her. She needed payment NOW or she would end/cancel the virtual call. I was SO furious at her lack of customer service skills and absolutely NO empathy, as I was getting results on yay/nay to any "C" in the lumps in my throat. Pissed is an understatement. I can see if I was 30+ days late on a bill, but it was only 2 weeks exactly. I paid the bill so I could get my biopsy results (that were being held hostage for pymt). Billing tactics, lack of empathy and work ethics are disgraceful here, Especially Toni in billing. So harsh n rude in getting money. Didn't see any reviews prior to going here, as I was referred by my PCP. Nonetheless, I will never step foot in the door, even though I did like the surgeon and RN that assisted the procedure. This place is great you just have to understand the system. first, the negative reviews, due to HIPPA the office can not reply and say what's really going on. So here is the system. Because the doctors here are first class (Dr. Tan is mine but I hear they are all outstanding) it takes a while to get in. It took me 6 weeks and I am a Doctor (different field). The reason it takes so long is because they actually spend as much time as needed to analyze your condition, no cookie cutter treatment. They work with you and are most responsive via Email. Routinely placed on hold for 30-45 minutes. Impossible to speak to anyone. Test results take weeks and weeks. Doctor actually left the room to take a call from a male caller during a sensitive discussion about possibility of cancer. Doctor was supposed to give us a referral to another specialist but "forgot". I had to make sure the appointment was made. This office still failed to forward our records to the specialist. They claimed it was an oversight. They promised to call back with results but then failed to do so. I couldn't get any answers and finally just said I was coming over there in person. They called me within 3 minutes, but still had no information or results. Finally said they needed to do more tests. I have zero confidence in these practitioners and do not recommend them. read more

I had already put in a review and not sure why it is not posted. I will try again. Do not go to this facility. The office rescheduled me three times due to a doctor leaving and then another doctor not wanting to take any of Dr. Addington's patients. Rescheduled again with another doctor only to show up and be told the Nurse Practitioner will be the one seeing me and that I will have another doctor assigned to me. Also, the night before I received a text message reminding me that I have an appointment at 9am. I show up at 8:45 at which this is when I was told about the new doctor assigned. I spoke to the Administrator and that is another bad story. It was 9:30am when I finally got up after seeing everyone come and go to ask how much long only to be told that my appointment is at 9:30am. I showed the receptionist the text message that said 9am and she blew it off and said it won't be much longer.
