I have been seeing Dr. U since 2021. She has been great at helping me get control over my diabetes and maintaining that control. Each visit we discuss what has been working, what hasn't been working and she actively involves me in the discussions of treatment options. She has a great bedside manner and has also worked with me when my insurance had preferred prescriptions in order to help me with budgeting for those. read more

Not quite my best experience with a medical professional. Being in the medical field myself (as well as my sister and mother) I am very understanding of issues, mistakes and how difficult being in this field can be. However I felt that the doctor I saw here lacked a huge important skill: bedside manner. I always felt my appointments were rushed, I was frequently talked AT TO as opposed to a open dialogue between doctor and patient. I felt my questions and concerns were easily waved off and was often "told" how my treatment would be (no ifs ands or buts!). This hostile lifestyle planning was lacking an important thing: my voice and how we should work together for a plan. Advocating for yourself is important and I never felt like I even had the opportunity to open my mouth to try. read more

I love Dr. U. I feel taken care of and seen when I go to her. The doctor is amazing! The only thing to improve would probably be front desk staff. Thats a persons first impression of your office and it could be a better one! Other than that Dr. U provides excellent care. read more

i will not be going back, my 2nd visit follow up. Was told my blood sugar would drop when I sleep so not a problem. Asks me a questions and then interrupts my answer and did not let me speak over and over. She assumes I sleep when everyone else normally does, my work schedule is different. I do not sleep at 10pm. I go to sleep between 3-4am. Family history of thyroid cancer and I have 2 places on thyroid (confirmed, one likely benign in nature and one not) and she did not care! Also said I can refer you to ENT but they won't help you! I have not heard from them, so I assume she did not send the referral...but since she says they will not help me, why would I go go there either. Is it because she is going to tell them it is nothing, or is it because she never sent the referral? Told me that no doc anywhere would help me (so now she is speaking for all doctors). Any doc that does not hear their patient is not a good doctor. Any doctor that refuses to listen and yells enough to make the patient cry as well and will not listen about family history also is not a good doctor. If I am eating between meals as suggested in which you wouldn't know since you do not listen and my BS still drops in low 60's and high 50's in less than hour after I eat and when I was NOT sleeping, then we have a problem!!! DR U, you did not listen when you asked me questions. I am still sick and back at square one. Awful experience! awful beside manner! Same for front desk staff as they were rude when they could not get their credit card system to work, blamed it on card, I called company on speaker phone and it said nothing wrong. She kept typing it in instead of swiping it. She finally got it to work. Not sure why she would not try to swipe it. They also called me 20 minutes before I was due in and asked if i was coming or not when already confirmed the day before. read more

I've been going to Dr Uppalapati for a little over a year now and very rarely have I been inclined to write a review. To start, I have a specific health insurance that doesn't require a referral or authorization number and I've been with them for almost 18 years so I would say I'm pretty familiar with my insurance. So the biller which is also the woman that schedules the appointments made an appointment with me back in April 23, which I saw the doctor ( had to do bloodwork) then another appointment was scheduled for May. Mind you, almost every appointment I've had the biller constantly tells me I need a referral and authorization number which I know I don't. This has been a back and forth debate with her as she never spoke to my insurance directly when I asked her to because she would've known. So the day of my May appointment, as I'm sitting in the office waiting she calls me and says they have to cancel my appointment because my pcp sent over the referral but no authorization number. At this point I'm upset that I took off the morning to make my appointment and received the phone call to cancel while I'm there, so I asked why couldn't you tell me this yesterday and no, I don't need any of that! She then says she tried calling my pcp that morning and I should try calling her. So at this point I said whatever, I need to make another appointment, she says no you can't until we get an authorization number. So she insists on calling me back when that happens. I'm a diabetic on insulin and the doctor needs to see me before she gives me more meds. So now the summer passes, I get a bill in August for $97 so decided to call, while questioning the bill and make a appointment. Spoke to the same biller/ lady again and she made the appointment for September and said she would send the bill back to insurance. Now the day before my appointment I decided to call to mk sure everything was ok. The same biller then tells me again, my pcp sent the referral but not the authorization number and at this point I have a weeks worth of insulin and diabetes medication left so I'm like no, you need to call my insurance directly, I don't need those things. She also tells me that she called my pcp and they confirmed sending a referral but said they can't give an authorization number so I'm asking what does that mean, then she says we'll you should call your insurance provider. So I did, which they confirmed again I don't need a referral or authorization number. So now I call the office, tell them my issue including I'm on my last of my diabetic medications to then be told that, as per the doctor, I shouldn't be given an appointment until my bill of $97 is paid. Now I'm totally confused and disgusted!!! A bill that was sent to my insurance was never and issue? So my life saving medication is being withheld for $97 that I didn't even know about !! So then I called the billing headquarters and spoke to a professional that knows insurance, she then got on the phone with me and my insurance company, which they confirmed I don't need a referral or authorization number, they also confirmed the bill of $97 which I then PAID on the spot once I knew they paid a portion. The Knowledgeable biller apologized for the lack of knowledge from the other office biller and for the months of the runaround I received from this place. For this I decided not to give them my business or waste any more of my time. The cherry on top was the doctor deciding not to book my appointment until this $97 was paid that I was unaware of ( didn't know my insurance didn't pay that portion). It's sad and unfortunate to see that this doctor was ready to keep life saving diabetic medications ( insulin , metformin, glipizide ) from her patient hostage for $97... wow This definitely made me look at her in a different light. She's not someone that I would trust my life with! If her biller is going be the one to make appointments as well, she needs to listen to the patient and receive more knowledge with different healthcare providers. read more

Absolutely the worst front office staff you could imagine, the scheduling dept is over seas and they will cancel your appointment if you don't respond to a "courtesy" confirmation text... even if you let them at the office know you are coming they will cancel you if you don't text read more

These people can't seem to get their crap together. I have had a referral sent twice and they couldn't seem to find it, twice. Abysmal front office staff, 20 minutes on hold, because they couldn't do their damn job and I ended up running out of time on my break because of this. Still need to be seen and can't even get an appointment set up because of how incompetent they are. read more

I have been to two appointments for my type 1 diabetes and the doctor keeps saying I am type two. I have been a type one for 45 years. Doctor will not listen to what I say and just goes by a script trying to push the insulins and other drugs. I have tried two appointments but both experiences were negative and I felt demoralized when I left the office both time. read more

I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Secha S. Uppalapati for being a truly compassionate and considerate person who genuinely cares about the well-being of her patients. In January, I suffered a massive heart attack and underwent heart surgery, having previously neglected my heart and diabetes health. Once I started taking care of my health, I met this incredible person. When I first saw her, my A1c was 12.9, and she promised me that if we did things right, in 7 months, I would no longer need insulin and could live a healthy and happy life. Amazingly, 7 months later, my A1c is now 5.2, I no longer use insulin, and I am living a very healthy life thanks to God, the guidance and hard work of Dr. Uppalapati, and myself. On behalf of myself and my family, thank you for being such a humble, generous, intelligent, caring, and altruistic person. Needed to reschedule my appointment, called them to let them know that I need to do so and the person that answered said that since I was rescheduling there would be a fee of $25 to do so. I asked if they were going to credit that amount towards the amount they charge for the next visit and was told no, that fee is separate and it's a fee to reschedule the appointment. Needless to say I will now be finding another doctor that doesn't have fees to reschedule appointments. read more

My prescriptions are never sent to the pharmacy corrected. I have to make repeated trips to the pharmacy and the Drs office to get it corrected. Calling their office does nothing as they will tell you it's the pharmacy and really it's they haven't sent it or the sent they wrong medication. Very frustrating and concerning. read more

Wow! All I need to say is wow. It was my first time going to Alliance Endocrinology and it was probably one of the best experiences if not the best I've had going to a clinic.First of all the staff was very efficient and fast and second the doctor was kind and really helped me manage my hormonal problems. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone!!! read more
