First everything is okay, I get there, sign in, no problem. I'm asked back by a man who was working on Thursday September 25 at 2:20pm. I hobble back there because of my MS and he says I have to have my insurance card. Super weird, I never ever have checked in inside of an exam room. Usually payment and insurance/license are asked for upfront, which is what I did today at check in before even being called back. So okay, I hobble to the exam room where my caretaker and purse is, and hobble back. He then asks for my payment. What?!!?!?!?! I have NEVER paid a bill in a backroom at a lab! So with NO apology I have to hobble back to the front and get the card. The technician was enjoying my puzzlement and my limping all around the office. Labcorp doesn't do shady business like quest! How on EARTH was I supposed to know that they do payment where blood is drawn?! Sadly, it gets worse.... I am there for a urinalysis and I am given A PLASTIC WATER COOLER CUP AND A PLASTIC TO GO SAUCE CONTAINER LID ONLY TAPED WITH 1 PIECE OF TAPE for my sample!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What. Is. Happening?!?!?!?!?! This has to be against some rules!!!???!?!??????!!!!!????!!! Usually it's put in a jar with an baggie on the outside and is handled with some type of professionalism. A label on a jar, with a lid that secures the urine, an outer bag, sometimes a flap you have to fold over. Not at quest labs at stoneridge!!!!!!!!!! There is literally nothing to protect the sample. The lid didn't even SCREW ON!!! How is this legal????? Poor technician too, urine is just going to be sloshing out of the badly fitted lid if he missteps. I do my sample and AGAIN BREAKING RULES, I put it where I was told, WITH ANOTHER PATIENT IN THE ROOM!!!! Honestly I will be SHOCKED if my sample isn't tampered with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been asked to have a sample in a plastic water cooler cup with a sauce to go container lid that cannot be properly screwed/fitted on, "made secure" with a piece of tape! I have never been to a lab with such little empathy, zero professionalism, a lot of shadiness, and with not even basic level care. How is this lab still open? *****PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE YOUR SAMPLES WILL NOT BE PROPERLY CARED FOR AND/OR WILL BE TAMPERED WITH!***** I included pictures of what I was given. I wasn't allowed to take a picture there so I used google to help show what my "sample cup," looked like. But unlike the second picture, the lid didn't stay on the cup without the help of 1 piece of tape.

Unfortunately, my experience with the same front-desk employee on two separate occasions once in December and again today, more than six months apart has been very disappointing. Today, I accompanied my wife for routine lab work. While the front-desk employee was checking us in, I simply asked a polite question to confirm that all five tests ordered by her doctor had been included. The tests had been ordered a couple of months earlier to be completed now, so I wanted to make sure everything was correctly captured. Instead of simply answering the question, his response and demeanor were unnecessarily dismissive and disrespectful. When I asked why he was responding that way to a straightforward question, the interaction escalated. He spoke to me loudly and told me that we were not there for "action and reaction" and accused me of raising my voice, even though I had been speaking normally up to that point. I eventually responded firmly that he also needed to lower his voice and speak courteously. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I had a similar negative interaction with the same employee back in December. At that time, I chose to give him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he may simply have been having a bad day. Experiencing essentially the same type of behavior again more than six months later makes me concerned that this is not an isolated incident. Labcorp has otherwise been a place my family has trusted for years, which is why this experience stands out so much. Front-desk staff are often the first point of contact for patients, and basic courtesy, patience, and respectful communication should be a fundamental part of that role. I hope Labcorp management takes this feedback seriously and looks into the interactions and training of the front-desk staff at this location. It would be unfortunate for the behavior of one employee to undermine what has otherwise been a very good experience with this Labcorp location over many years.

I have arrived at 6:45, the wait time that I was given was 19 minutes with the option to wait in the car and receive a text when it's my turn. I have been waiting an hour and a half. They have been letting people walk-in, appointment-less, and it is official that they ignored my check in! This is very annoying and irresponsible on their behalf. I had to wait in lone for another 10 minutes before another employee came out to let people in. Immediately, I walked up to her and politely demanded she let me in. I arrived for my appointment and checked in but had to wait over an hour to be seen. I told them I tend to faint when giving blood and need to lie down, but they said they 'don't do that' and had me sit in a chair instead. To make small talk I asked the tech why they decided to become a phlebotomist and she said it was because she had a shopping addiction. Nice. She tries twice to get my vein but cannot find it and I'm starting to feel woozy. Then, she goes to get help and leaves me sitting with the needle partially in my arm. I pass out and they get upset at me and then have me leave. To be honest, I cried after that appointment. It was humiliating and I'm never going back to this location.
