Having had three MRIs at three different labs in Pleasanton, this one is by far the best. They played music of my choice for me, the machine wasn't too cramped, the temperature was good and they have a doctor on site that analysis the images almost immediately. One of the other two MRI places just handed me a CD to give to my doctor. The third one didn't share the images at all and I had to wait two weeks for my doctor's appointment to review the images. read more

Call for an MRI on my right foot. Had the appointment for 2 months while limping, in pain & burning day and night. Finally the MRI was the next day. Pleasanton Diagnosic called @4:55pm to tell me they needed me half hour early and BtW you need to bring $250 to your appointment. I didn't have $250 by the next day, so I had to cancel by this time it was5:00pm. My son-in-law said call them back I'll loan it to you. I was so upset. So I called first thing in morning and they had already gave it away. They had 2 months to let me know the cost. Im never going back. They used to have very good customer servivice. The one star is for the receptionist that checked us in. Older Caucasian female. Not even sure if she greeted my son & me. Oh well. Asked for insurance card and ID and I kindly put it down and slid it to her. She gave me forms to fill out and confirm correct info. While doing that she tossed my cards back to me but I didn't say anything. Maybe she is just jumpy. I could hear in her voice she seemed irritated but still - didn't let that get to me. She's doing her work and that's all. Nothing warm or caring vibes coming from her. Went back and sat in the waiting area and my son says to me, wow- it's so early and we already got an attitude from the receptionist. I thought it was just me that got that vibe. this place does not even deserve a 1 star.......I had more than 1 bad experiences with them.....I wanted to get a disc copy of my x-ray and called and left 3 messages in the span of few days....they never called back. By the time they contacted me almost 10 days later, it was after the fact. The doctor had to retake the x-ray because there is no images..........ANOTHER INCIDENT......I made an MRI appointment for my aneurysm ....the appointment was made almost 6 months ago and they call me the day before the appointment to tell me they do not do it at that location and need to reschedule a date for the hospital....IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE? Very nice mammographer that helped me during the process. She was sweet and told me all about the process. But I do have to gripe about scheduling appointments and their strange check in process upon arrival. Whenever I call, nobody picks up in scheduling and a I have to leave a message. This has happened twice. This place never asked if I had a prior done at another facility. So I had to wait again for about a half hour after my mammo to sign the release! All because of their strange check in process and not allowing to just talk to the front desk staff. After my CT and MG experience with the front desk staff here I am not sure if I'll be coming back. read more

Everybody is really nice. I have had a ctscan and mri every 3 months for the last two years. The technicians are really nice. But two things have been bothering me lately the first one every time I go I have to sign papers, in my opinion to much waste. They should have a paperless option for those that are regular patients. The second thing is that my last scans they mistake my diagnosis. It is life or death. I'm very disappointed because the person who did my report makes me thing he wasn't reading the right scan. I could get a lawyer. I told somebody at the desk, but I haven't heard anything from the management team. I'm sad because I would need to find a new place to do my scans. I went back and the service was even worse. Yes they did it again. The service has been declining constantly. Again the person who wrote my report said I had something else. Tip: Definitely call to make sure they have what they need before heading over. My grandma's CT scan appointment was cancelled 45 minutes before the scheduled time because they said the insurance authorization hadn't come through yet. We were already 10 minutes away from the office battling 580 traffic. Shouldn't these types of things be notified ahead of time? Really nice, new building with ample parking and friendly staff that tries to make things happy and light-hearted but when you're dealing with an 85 year old patient (or any patient for that matter!) I think more precautions should be taken. Waste of time, energy, and lost trust in the facility. read more

Two stars because simple mammograms and xrays are good. On the other hand, don't ever go here for anything that requires an IV! Their techs are not trained to do IVs! I walked out last week on a CT scan because the tech was shooting saline into my arm tissue instead of my vein. I had a sore, swollen arm for 2 days & nasty bruise 3 days later. We came here for a chest x-ray on the recommendation of my doctor and several nurses at the pediatrician's office. I'm so glad we came! Everyone is friendly and the tech is very good with kids. There were fresh muffins and cookies in the waiting area (one per patient) but I did not sample one as I was too worried about my son. We walked-in and wait time was less than 20 minutes; we were in and out. My main reason for coming here was the cost. I was told by my pediatrician that the alternative (Valleycare's Diagnostic Imaging department) charges 3 times more. I didn't believe it but my total bill for this facility was $7.14. Went in for a MRI with contrast (which means needle injection). I was terrified about being in the MRI tube for almost an hour and getting a needle in my arm. Andrew, the MRI technician made sure I was real comfortable and was always checking in with me. The injection he performed was nearly painless. He was very kind with me and took great care at every step. If you need an MRI, I would ask for Andrew. Hopefully all the other techs are as good as him. Thanks again. read more

I went to Pleasanton Diagnostic to have an MRI done on my ribs after being hit in a terrible car accident. I suffer from severe claustrophobia and told this to both the front desk and technician who took my images during the MRI process. The woman taking the images (I'm unsure what this process is called) was VERY rude and extremely short with me. I asked for a few minutes to get out and breathe because I started having a severe panic attack. She responded with "We don't have time for this, the next appointment is in 5 minutes." I was very shocked at her lack of empathy, especially for someone having a panic attack right in front of her. I should have asked for her supervisor, but I couldn't breathe well and just wanted to get out of there. This incident happened last year, so I can't speak for how their service is currently (although I hope they fired that technician). But I felt my experience should be known to both management and whomever else experiences claustrophobia and in need of an MRI. read more

This place was alright, their check in process is odd, I can't tell if it is more efficient or less. You enter your name into a kiosk, no one greeted me so maybe three minutes later I asked as it was three receptionists two with patients one not and they said they'd call me up. Numerous people waiting. When I got called up, they couldn't find my referral and spent time looking for it, the receptionist also took a call on her headset all while I'm just sitting there. At some point I asked if there was paperwork I could complete while I wait, she said they'd get to it. Eventually, they get my referral. At some point, the supervisor (?) came out to check on the process which was nice. I had 3 forms to complete, very quick as they enter in a lot of your info, one is just a buncha rovid questions, another initialing on billing and policy stuff, and the third also brief. For how long that took, the waiting was longer. Which is frustrating as actual x-rays take maybe 7 minutes at most then 3-5 more minutes to get your disc. I'd come back but allow for more time as it took an hour (paperwork/check in 15 minutes-waiting 25-35, xray 7, waiting for disc 5). read more

Not only in resolving an minor issue with authorization, which they went above and beyond to do, but when I went this morning, everyone was incredibly pleasant, very fast check in, and I was in and out for a scan in under half an hour. And the cost was very reasonable. I really can't say enough nice things about them. I was there two years ago and the experience was just as good. read more

Today was my second time here in two days for a simple x-ray. The first time they told me the x-ray was down, which was understandable and it happens. The second time I showed up at 7:45am. They open at 7:30. I'm the first patient there and I fill out all the forms. They tell me to wait. Other patients start showing up and they are getting let in before me. At 8:25 I ask what's taking so long and when I will be let in. It turns out the tech to do my x-ray hasn't shown up yet. No one seems to care and bothers to tell me this at any point. I finally get called back at 8:35. No apologies for the wait or again any concern for customer service. Customer service is clearly not a priority here. I would find another place to get your imaging done if your insurance gives you the choice. read more

Easily made an appt by phone for a time of day that worked best for me. Upon entering the building there is a temperature station. (That was a relief to me) After passing that requirement I checked in right at the time they told me to get there. Signed in using their electronic sign-in system (was happy to see hand sanitizer right there for those who want to use it) then waited about 5 minutes before being called to fill out a few forms. Most of the papers asked COVID related questions. While I was in their waiting area there were maybe 3 other people so we could easily social distance ourselves. After that I was called back rather quickly. I'm so thankful to Fatemeh, my tech - she was kind, caring and gentle. I would definitely return and ask for her again. Good experience. read more

If I could give this place no stars at all I would have. I only went there once and I had a real bad experience. First they took my referral paper that has all needed images checked and obvious from my primary doctor, but the receptionist checked me in for ultrasound not for x-rays, she didn't even bother to go through the document see what needs to be done. And because of that mistake, I had to wait extra long to check me in with x-ray technician when he was done. After the long visit, the x-ray technician asked me to wait in the front so that he would burn a CD for me. No need to mention that there was no way for me to open the CD and see what was on it. I called the office and asked if they could email me the images, they said they couldn't do it because this is the only way they work. I needed these images to go to a specialist, I brought the CD with me to the appointment and then we found out that there was no ultrasound images on the CD, we couldn't talk about them!!! Hi inconvenient!!!!! After the reply I got from the business, I am more determined that this is a messed up place. Whatever the reply was, that wasn't anywhere close to the truth of what happened. I don't need to imagine things that didn't really happen to criticize the place, things happened exactly as I explained, and I don't think there is any use of proving it. read more

I've had many X-rays and CT Scans here. They have always been great with me. I get in quick. They give me copies of the scan if I request it. The send the written report to my home when I request it. They have CD ready when I leave as long as I have requested it beforehand. I've never had to wait a super long time. X-rays are on a walk in basis. CT Scans and MRI's are scheduled as they must obtain Insurance Approval first and that depends on your Insurance Company. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. Like I said, never a problem with them. Calling on the phone is a different story. Mostly you have to leave a message as they are short on help like everyone else is in this Valley. read more

I made an appointment with Insight Imaging of Pleasanton last month to get an MRI on my shoulder to determine if I had a torn rotator cuff. The Good: 1) they got all my information over the phone and when I showed up, it was all typed up for me with just a few things to sign and fill out. 2) The lab tech was extremely pleasant. She was empathetic with the whole claustrophobic and noise effect, but we (I) had no issues and managed to stay still in that enclosed space for 25 min. The Bad (in ascending order): 1) The receptionist was not friendly, all business. That's a nit, since finding warm, friendly receptionists are hard to find. Maybe she was just having a bad day. 2) They told me they would send the results to my DR in 24 hours. They didn't. Luckily they gave me a CD that I took to my dr (who is 40 minutes away) for him to view. 3) NOT ALL MRI MACHINES ARE CREATED EQUAL. I didn't know this. They are rated in "Teslas" and my doc had a hard time reading mine. There are 2 and 3 Tesla machines out there and he thought mine must have been a half a tesla. The rotator cuff did not show up clearly in the image. He had to call them and have their report faxed over and talk to their technician on the phone to point out where he thought the tear was. 4) Bottom line : my doc won't know the extent of my injury until he goes in surgically. The staff can be as nice or grumpy as they want to be, but to put up with the dent in your day and the discomfort of going through a closed in MRI, you should at least have accurate results AND follow through with the ordering doctor. Take this away from this review: ask the Tesla rating of their machine. read more

This place was going to earn a four star review from me- attentive and courteous staff, nice location, kids toys in the waiting room, punctual appointment and good ultrasound equipment. Nothing luxurious, but certainly adequate. So what happened? Well, the major problem is that I cannot trust their reports. The medical report we received didn't match the images on the CD they gave. The report mentioned three lumps that were large enough to need further assessment but the CD only had images of two lumps! And later when the doctor went in for the biopsies, only the two lumps were found. The whole point of a facility like this is to take images, accurately assess them, and then pass along the reports and images to the patients' doctors. The first thing you're greeted with is a glass wall with people behind it. They're in the place you'd expect a receptionist, but they're not acknowledging their paying customers. Instead, there's a sign with instructions-that's your 'greeting': "Write Your Name, Sit Down, We'll Call You" You've become a 'patient', common courtesy no longer applies. Hire a receptionist so you can welcome your customers. Once the humans do make appearances, they're very nice. I was impressed that my technician introduced herself by name. This was my first MRI. It was kind of comical. Every once in a while the contraption would shift and noises would begin. All kinds of noises...there's a jackhammer, a regular hammer, plain old knocking on your front door kind of knocking, a train horn, etc. This is the sound of advanced technology? I started imagining...what if this MRI machine doesn't even work. Maybe some guy I can't see is just banging on it with a wrench. This thought would make me laugh (there wasn't much competition in the entertainment department) which would make me move, so I'd have to stop, but then he'd start banging again... I'd keep my eyes shut before sliding in, that way you're unaware that you're in an enclosed space. It doesn't feel like you are, so if you can't tell visually it helps. I said no to the IV of contrast chemical. My doctor did not like the written medical report of the MRI. He was very frustrated by their wording and asked me not to come here anymore. read more

My doctor ordered a chest x-ray to get a better look at my pneumonia infected lungs. I had two options in Pleasanton and chose this one because its close proximity to the freeway. They operate on a walk in basis and helped me right away. The lady at the front was very helpful with my insurance concerns. I was wondering if this would be covered by my insurance because I didn't check to see if they were a covered provider first. She entered all my insurance info and told me even if they reject it, the cash price is $28. I can deal with $28 for a chest x-ray if the bill shows up in two months. And I have to give props to the receptionist next to her. This guy walked in with the smallest wrist brace on. She told him to fill out the questionnaire and sign and date. He asked her to read it to him and fill it out for him because it was hard for him to write. She said "of course!" and said it with a smile. This guy's brace would give him no problems writing. I had a bigger plaster cast in middle school and still wrote just fine. The girl who did my chest x-ray was great. She brought me to the changing room so I could get into the gown. She was very friendly through the whole x-raying process. She was gentle with moving my arms in all different directions to get the right position for the shot the doctor needed. I was in and out of the x-ray room in five minutes and 20 minutes for the whole process. Even though it's walk in, I didn't have to wait. I highly recommend this facility for anyone in need of an x-ray. The convenient location and helpful, friendly staff= five stars. read more

I was called two days prior to the appointment to verify attendance and to be notified of the patient portion. Nothing new. Insurance only covers 80% so it worked out well and at a price less that I've paid for the same service with other providers. They accept payment at visit for a portion of the responsibility which was fantastic. Easy to find location. Comfortable and clean waiting area and changing room. Front desk staff was respectful, friendly and knowledgeable. I merely walked up to the attendant that was free and confirmed my appointment time. She provided me with paperwork to complete and I provided the usual IDs for medical appointments. The technician did a fantastic job at talking to me through the test so I'd know what was about to happen at each interval. This was a nice enough experience notwithstanding the horrible sounds of the MRI itself. read more

I had to go in twice this week for testing and they made a scary experience a lot more manageable. The front and back office team were very kind and helpful. I didn't have to wait long on either visit. The facility appeared clean and well organized. I really appreciated the way they followed up with me after my first test. I mentioned on my first visit that I would likely require a second test but would need insurance authorization for it. I also told them that I wanted to get everything done as quickly as possible because I'm in pain and very anxious. They took care of everything for me on their own and kept me updated at every step. I was referred here for a mammogram. I called to make an appointment and was put on hold for 8 minutes. The appointment was eventually made, but meetings came up and I had to change the time. I called and left a message to return my call with no response. I called again and was put on hold for 12 minutes until the call was dropped. I called to leave another message to return my call and did not hear back. My last call resulted in being told there were 3 calls ahead of me and could I please hold; as I had already spent 20 minutes on hold, I said no. I still know nothing about the actual imaging staff at this facility, but I certainly am displeased with the scheduling staff. read more
