I was concerned about having to wait a long time and asked the attendant if I should come back when it was less busy. He assured me that they were always busy and that they would get me done in about 30 minutes. I went into their waiting room that was quite comfortable and full of other customers. I picked out a magazine and sat down to wait. To my surprise they has me ready to go in about 25 minutes. They showed me a checklist of all the things they had looked at and it was very thorough. I noticed that there was a middle aged man keeping everything and everyone moving along. Everyone appeared to know what they were doing unlike many of the other lube shops I have gone into. It happened at a very difficult time and place, about 150 miles east of St. George and in a snow storm. We stopped in Kanab for an engine test and were told that the transmission had developed a problem that would disable the All-Wheel-Drive. We were told that driving to St. George would not cause further damage to the transmission but the snow storm, without all-wheel-drive, resulted in a very cautious drive to St. George. We called ahead to St. George Transmission and they were familiar with that particular Subaru problem and they had the parts in stock. We decided that our other car, a Ford Transit 350 van handled even worse than the Subaru so while St. George Transmission fixed the Subaru, we had Snow tires put on the van. We have fond memories of St. George and, especially of St. George Transmission. They made our Forester safe to drive, even though the snow storm got worse as we drove on to Seattle. Great company and staff is very knowledgeable in Subaru transmission problems.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Ryan from R&J Mobile Mechanics. I was in Zion for a few days…read morewhen, unfortunately, my battery light came on. The next morning I drove about 30 minutes down the mountain to AutoZone to have the battery tested. It turned out the battery wasn't holding a charge, and I was told the next thing to check would most likely be the alternator. I called multiple mechanics and mobile mechanics in the area until my brother found Ryan. At first, there wasn't much he could do because we had to emergency order an alternator from Vegas. I was able to get a warranty replacement battery from AutoZone and continue my plans for the day. The following evening around 5:30 PM, Ryan came out and was able to take care of the repair. He even helped order the correct alternator through AutoZone for me. He showed up on time, checked every possible option, and took the time to properly troubleshoot the issue instead of just guessing. After testing everything, we determined the alternator was the most likely problem. The installation only took him about 40 minutes. Afterward, we tested everything multiple times using different meters and code readers, took the vehicle for a test drive, and made sure everything was working correctly. I was nervous at first because there was still a strange noise after the repair, but Ryan took the time to troubleshoot it further until everything checked out. The battery light was gone, all tests passed, and I was able to safely drive over 350 miles back to California without any issues. I really appreciate Ryan's professionalism, honesty, and willingness to help while I was stranded away from home.
