My 1994 Dodge Dakota towing a U-Haul trailer broke down on I-15 after hours. Shop was closed. Needed new radiator. Stranded on an exit with no service. Called AAA and the Eagle tow truck hauled my truck on the flatbed and towed the U-Haul to their shop in one trip. Shop opened at 8am and had a new radiator installed by 10am. Went to have a tire fixed due to a slow leak. Found out it was a small nail. Tires are barley 8 months old less than 30,000 miles on them. When they took the tire off they went to break it down and took a chunk off the side wall. Tried to tell me it happens all the time. I may be a woman but I am not an idiot and it doesn't not happen all the time. The best they could do is offer their cost on a tire!!!! We got a flat tire on the way to Zion from LA and pushed through with a spare until on the way back. We were looking for used tire stores in towns near Zion/Springdale to fix our situation for the rest of the ride back. We called Eagle Tire for our specs and they not only had the right tire size (other stores didn't have it, most of the locality use big trucks and whatnot) they gave us a price quote HALF of what others were offering for a used tire. When we get there, the first thing we notice is the view opposite the shop's entrance - a grassy park with a beautiful rock formation in the near-backdrop! When we check our car in, the staff was extremely quick and collaborative in fixing our tire! We got done in under 20 minutes and they even filled our other tires at our request (although they may do this anyway by practice)! Not only that, the price quote for the used tire INCLUDED all the other charges, so we paid what we were told and only a couple of dollars in taxes more. If I ever am in the area I know where to sort out my car wheel needs (although hopefully I don't get one!). read more

I like Eagle Tire they are fast and friendly but their employees need to get on the same page. I called yesterday to get a quote on a tire, the guy I spoke to told me I'd pay $85 for the tire but then by the end of the call told me he could give it to me for $65. I told him I wouldn't be able to come in till the next morning and he said no problem, I thank him for such a great offer. When I got there the next morning. I was told the cheapest tire they had was $79, after taxes I paid $107. Almost paid twice as much as what I was told over the phone. Brought my car in to get its strut fixed, and ended up having my ball joint snap in half because they couldn't even do a simple tightening after they took it off to "fix" my car. I ran over something sharp enough to puncture my tire. I called Eagle Tires and they told me they could fix it but they did have a two hour wait. I drove it there (not a great idea) and within an hour they had it done. I had indeed ran over something but since I drove on it, it ruined my tire. They had a used tire that matched my other tires and the entire transaction was only $45.00. In addition, my son was with me and was worried my tires were ready to be replaced. Eric is such a dishonest person I will never do business with him or reccomend his business to anyone. Took a rim in to get a new tire put on and got it back with a broken center cap. Was told that it was broken when they got it and they would not take care of it. Funny that it stayed on the rim the whole time we had it and when we dropped it off and when we got it back it wouldnt even stay on the rim. Very poor and slow service and they fail to do what they say they are going to do. I was told my tire would be done within 30 min and they would call to let me know when it was done, I said that was fine and since it was going g to be a fast repair I would stay in the area and wait for a call. I waited and waited for a call and finally after over an hour decided to go check on the status of my tire. When I got there it was done but no one had the decency to call me as they as they said they would. From the previous reviews I have now read I would say this is a common issue and there are better places to spend your hard earned money. I have had other dealings with Eric as well and he is anything but an honest and ethical person if these are qualities you seek in your business dealings you definately want to think twice before you do anything with Eric. read more

First and last time at this place.I was quoted very competitive price.Went in to put 4 new tires,oil change and new rear brakes.After 2 hours wait and a complaint push at their service counter, my car finally went into the bay.One of my new tires was not properly balanced,(never bothered to go back there for that ),plus all 4 tires came hugely over inflated upon self check same day.The oil change was not properly done.They put too much oil looking on the deep stick.I simply ran out of time for the brakes job.Took my half day, for relatively simple 1.5 hr job by the book operation.If you are looking for cheap price, sloppy job and have lots of time to waste, go there. read more

I usually go to eagle tire every time my car gets jacked up. I've had them fix my alignment, change tires, and replace my brakes. Often times they don't have the parts I need so I sometimes end up waiting a really... REALLY long time. I once waited 5 hours. BUT, they eventually always get the job done and I always get a discount or something for the inconvenience. The staff is funny as well and you can watch netflix while you wait. read more

Eric tried his best to help me get rims on my car after I hit an object on the way to St. George, but because he is so scattered and disorganized and his employees are left to run the shop rough-shod and basically on their own, my car was made worse! His female employee sent me out on a wild goose chase to find a rim because she doesn't know where addresses in the area are. Miguel put an unneeded, unmatched tire in the new rim (without calling me and asking me first), which basically left me just as stranded as I was in the first place!! All because Eric doesn't take time to communicate - with his employees OR his customers!! I would NEVER take my vehicle to Eagle Tire again - not even in an emergency!! We can't say enough good things about the people at Eagle Tire! We were stuck in Saint George without an alternator on our road trip. We still needed to get back to our home in California. The people at Eagle Tire took care of us right away. They fixed the alternator and charged us a very fair price. Not only that, we needed to get our luggage out of our hotel before 11 AM and the general manager allowed the gal at the front desk to use his car and to take us to our hotel. She waited while we packed our luggage into the car, then brought us back to the shop. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to take care of us. This place is on Bluff Street next to Midas. They have a sign outside that says "Tires under $50." I needed two used tires to get me through until i needed a full set. They had two in stock that were a perfect match. I told the guy that my wheels were powder coated and the tires needed to be installed with a plastic duckbill. He assured me that he has installed tires on powder coated wheels many times with no issues. I told him if he didn't have the right tools i would just buy the tires and go elsewhere. He reassured me that he would do it himself and it would be fine. I came back to find 10 inches of powder coat scraped off the rim of one of the wheels and multiple chips on another. I confronted him on it and he started making excuses that the tire forced the tool against the wheel, (the same tool that isn't supposed to be used on powder coated wheels.) He said all i had to do is get some nail polish to hide the missing powder coat. I asked where I should get a flat black nail polish. He had no answer. Not willing to fix the damage. This place tells you one thing to get your money and provides sub-par service in return. Use at your own risk. Too many honest places in town that know what they're doing. read more

I am new to St. George and didn't have my car in the condition to pass the Utah safety inspection before registration. I needed two new tires and because of the move, I was short on cash. I made a few phone calls and ended up at Eagle Tire. When I called them I was instantly impressed with the professional and courteous manner used on the telephone. When I walked in to the store and introduced myself 15 minutes later, the tires we had discussed were already pulled from the rack for my inspection. In addition, the price we discussed was lowered from our original agreed on price. I have never had that happen before, especially in an auto shop. Ok, so I'm a female, and typically women say they are mistreated or talked down to when dealing with most things auto related. The guys here were not at all like that. But then again, even when I don't know something about my car I don't play the dumb female card, I still remain assertive and matter of fact. I needed tires for my car and I called ahead to ask how much they charge for a decent set of tires. *One thing I never knew and was explained to me is that there are different 'grades' of used tires.* I don't remember the exact breakdown of length of time each level of tire is good for but I needed two to last me a few months so I was quoted $35 each tire. Installation was included. When I got to the shop, I was quoted a higher price for the same quality of tire (hence one star being docked). I told the guy helping me what I was told on the phone and he honored that price. There was also an additional fee for new valve stems that was not mentioned on the phone, and I specifically asked if there were any other charges and whatnot and it was never mentioned on the phone. So, anyone who doesn't know, they will tell you you should always replace them when replacing tires because more often than not they break during the change anyway. Timewise I was told it would be 30-45 minutes, ended up being a few minutes shy of an hour. In the end, I got two used tires for $35 a piece and the valve stem charge was waived because 1) I was there so long, and 2) the man that rang me out said it was a black Friday special (lol). read more
