I had a really great experience here. I learned a lot of coping skills and was finally able to get away from the toxic environment I was in. The staff supported me the whole time--from admissions to the techs to the therapists--and I always felt like I had people in my corner. When I first came in, I honestly didn't think I'd make it or stay clean after. I was nervous about being in a new place and being uncomfortable, but it ended up being exactly where I needed to be. I had way more support than I ever expected. Diamond Recovery helped me repair my relationships with my family, and I made some really meaningful friendships along the way. I also found an amazing sober support system. They gave me the kind of care I didn't even realize I needed at the time. It really opened my eyes to how much things needed to change--and showed me that they actually could. read more

I was admitted to a residential program at this facility this summer during a period of severe depression. My experience was deeply disappointing. During intake--both by phone and again in person--I was repeatedly assured that my treatment would be covered by insurance and that my only financial responsibility would be airfare to Florida. A staff member contacted my insurer during phone intake while I waited on hold, then returned to confirm this representation. Those assurances proved inaccurate. I was also told during phone intake (with a witness present) that I would be able to work and use my laptop and phone during my stay. Upon arrival, my devices were taken, and I was informed that I would not be able to contact family or my outpatient therapist for several days, and that afterward communication would be very limited and monitored. Although my admission was voluntary, I was required during a lengthy intake process to sign multiple documents on an electronic signature pad without being able to view the full text. I was not provided copies of what I signed. I was told that leaving before a set period would result in forfeiture of my possessions. After intake, I was required to wear an ankle monitoring device, which caused physical discomfort. During my brief stay, I had minimal contact with licensed clinical providers beyond medication-dispensing nurses. Other staff members were kind but appeared overextended. Information I received about my discharge status and family contact attempts was frequently inconsistent. Food quality was poor, and many patients--myself included--struggled to eat adequately. Several months after discharge, I received large, unexpected bills that directly contradicted what I was told during intake. My insurance company later confirmed that the facility was out of network and that this had been communicated to the facility during intake. Despite this, I was repeatedly told I would have no financial responsibility beyond airfare. I was discharged before the stated time threshold, and my belongings were returned. This experience added significant distress at a time when clarity and transparency were critical. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that prospective patients and families obtain all financial representations in writing, request copies of all signed documents, and independently verify network status before admission. read more

Mgmt Staff was trying to trigger me to relapse when they were trying to make me sign false ama forms so they can get more money for work they didn't do. Order Ubers and act like they are canceling things on my wishes when I just was preparing to read the Bible, sleep, and journal so they can deter me from being part of the class action lawsuit brewing against this place because of the way they treat present and past clients and I was doing too much than just speaking up for myself and now I'm not able to sleep because of people cursing my name and trying to rush me out, and kick me to the curb, or end up in jail by calling the cops. read more

When i first came to this facility i was not sure how i would fit because i lived in a different state. But once i was receptive to the program i loved most of the staff and the guest patients were awesome even though we all had strong demenors. Shoutout to 3rd shift 2nd shift and especially 1st shift. They don't have dedicated staff except for a select few where all the other behavioral techs just simply don't care about your problems. Sandy is one example of someone who does not give a sh*t about your problems and is simply just rude. But there are other techs that make our jobs as patients difficult. Because they take their frustrations out on you so you have to bite your lip. And how does that help with our mental health? Not all behavioral techs are like that however, some are actually quite pleasant and really do help you with your struggles and care for you. But how come it is only the few that help and the majority don't. Now let's talk about the discharge planner turned case manager, Tenelle, who does a really horrible job. He breaks any experience that you could have at this place from bearing any fruit because he will send you to the sh*ttiest treatment centers possible in bum f**k Fort Lauderdale in South Broward County. He will also lie straight to your face and not even care. "Oh this place is amazing I have heard really good things from clients who are alumni's. They rave of it. It is 15 minutes south of here." Like no tf it's not. Brother I'm 45 minutes south of Diamond. Diamond is in Palm Beach Gardens. I am in hood ratchet Ft. Lauderdale. You f**ked me, Tenelle! You really did! THIS IS A HONEY TRAP DON'T FALL FOR IT!! I AM IN WORSE CONDITION THAN WHEN I ARRIVED!!. Admissions feeds you lies about it being so luxurious, having a pool, a movie theater, medical 24/7, using your own phone, getting gourmet meals, you can go for a walk on the beach if you want etc. It's all a lie to get you there where you're shocked to find out they trapped you. Even the staff on the premises lie to your loved ones about how you are and your "awesome" progress and say any issues had been resolved. Day 1, you have a tether to keep track of you, cameras everywhere on the premises except the bathroom. You are not able to use your phone as they said. There is no pool, no theater, and the catered meals are like cafeteria food. They barely have enough to feed everyone and if you have a special meal like myself due to dietary needs, it would be wrong, undercooked or missing 80% of my meals were chicken and it wasn't cooked all the way half the time. I was told more than once to simply "nuke" my food to cook the chicken further. You don't have sessions with your therapist everyday like they promise, there were only two case managers only one of which did their job the other one Daniel hides so that people don't know when he's there. I always had to track him down. The 2 phone calls you get 2x a week for 15 minutes total, not per call, if you're lucky are made in front of staff on speaker you have zero privacy. I saw my therapist and the psychiatrist only twice. My own private therapist called several times to get status and try to speak to me, but was given the run around and I was never told that she called at all. A particular nurse named John, treated me with such distain and disrespect for no reason, he would just toss my medications to me instead of placing them in front of me. I was have a panic attack and he felt the need to hit the counter yelling "what's wrong with you" then he proceeded to get ammonia and put it in my face and on my nose and mouth telling me to wake up. All this accomplished was to make the anxiety worse. Medications that I knew I brought with me were said to not be there when they "looked" however when I left they were there plain as day. I journaled, dictated and even recorded some interactions with staff with my mp3 player since that's all you're allowed. I was told by a lead tech that it was being said that I complained too much when all I actually did was try to get information or get the necessities like food and medication. They gave my discharge date not even 24 hours before so my plane ticket costs a lot since it was on a weekend and on short notice. If you want to leave on your own accord, since its "voluntary" they make it impossible to do so. If you say you want to leave, your privileges are taken away including the ability to use your phone and they make you speak to a ton of people before "approving" the AMA, then they put you on 72 hour hold where they keep all your property. After which they release your property and you have to find a way home because they will not help. I had a panic attack resulting in a full blown asthma attack where my oxygen dropped so low that they had to call the ambulance, who took me to JFK North which was filthy. I was simply left in the hall until someone came and I stated that I needed to go to the restroom and they said they would come back but by the time they returned I had already wet myself and I remained on the urine soaked gurney for over an hour. I was never examined, never given a breathing treatment, the doctor simply said it was anxiety and I was moved to a holding room in the psych ward with 4 other women, it smelled horrible. The restrooms there were horrible, there was blood and feces on the floor. I was so traumatized by being there and they wouldn't let me leave saying that no one was answering the phone at Diamond so I didn't have a ride. My mother had to call several times to get them to actually pick me up. This West Palm location should be shut down. I need treatment and recovery from this place read more

If anyone has had a similar horrid experience with the facility, I encourage you to go to the AHCA website and make a complaint. These people who are supposed to be helping the mentally vulnerable need to be held accountable when they abuse their power, and they need to be made to change their behavior. My daughter was there from May 26 to June 6, 2025. She was not allowed to leave. I believe they broke the law: § 394.459(5), Florida Statutes - Communication: "Each person receiving services in a facility shall have the right to communicate freely and privately with persons outside the facility by phone, mail, or visitation, subject to the person's consent. Reasonable rules for scheduling and conduct may be established, but these rules must not interfere with the patient's right to communicate. § 394.459(5), Florida Statutes - Communication: PS if they have your review removed, just make a new one. read more

Do not go there. They have no respect for you and treat you as less than human. They take your wallet and phone and refuse to give it back if you decide to leave early. I had to have my father call the police to get me out because they wouldn't let me leave. with my things. They wouldn't let me use a phone. The bedrooms were freezing, no Dr on site, lied about how a medication that I have been taking for years should be taken, would not let me see the results of my blood work and basically treat you like you don't know anything. Self admission, all the staff are full of lies, except the resident assistants. The paperwork you sign will never be given to you even upon request. Tray, my therapist said if I want to leave with my own belongings I would have to talk to Scott, just so happened Scott walked by and said that is up to your therapist who lied directly in my face. They want people from out of state so if they leave the company will not give your phone credit cards or bank card or anything back for 72 hours. I was on a restricted diet due to severe allergies, and they knew that from day 1. I got chicken rice and green beans for lunch and dinner for 18 days. They would not help, only ignore again and again. They will not give your belongings back until they can bill 156 hours of counseling. They have and accept repeated violent residents knowing they are a danger to the other residents and staff. This company really sucks, as a medical Practitioner and being in the West Palm Beach facility, nothing but lies after lies. I asked everyone who was there and no one got any copies of what was signed and the rules. Some of the repeated residents should have been in lock down in a mental facility. And also you will definitely be missing some of your belongings especially if they are expensive, I'm missing a $250 Norelco electric shaver. And I want to be reimbursed for it. The food is awful and they could care less about diets and allergies. The most honest staff were the nurses and the resident assistants. They are the ones actually running this place. The rest hide in their offices and ignore you. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!! AS A LISENCED MEDICAL PRACTITIONER FROM THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! At over $6000 A day one would expect more professional staff and better food and admission conditions for the mentally unstable people they accept back into their company.
