You can see the stamped grooves vs the hand saw grooves.

Very disappointing. We have never worked with a company that lacks a great deal of communication and charged us a great deal of money for the very poor job they did. 1. Project manager never communicated with us. We always had to reach out. 2. Project manager never on the job. We had to ask the manager to come because we were unhappy with progress of job. 3. Workers left sealers and plywood in our backyard. We had to request for these things to be taken. 4. They told us we would have a scheduled walk thru of job, and that has yet to happen. 5. Don't hire them for stamped concrete! At least with our small patio, they left a great deal of areas with no groove stamp, so they had to "hand saw" it and it looks very different. See for yourself. 6. We sent an email, never heard back. They took our money real quick. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Very painful experience. It was a terrible ordeal, product not so bad, but not worth the 6 month struggle to get them to work.

Here is an example of it; after I wrote my review here is how (text messages) he approached me. Attacking a customers character is never good First off I have to say the work and speed that their crew delivered was great. We love everything that they did for us. We had a number of requests for them to: 1. Build a deck near our pool with cover 2. Replace our fencing to hide the pool equipment 3. New fence towards the back of our property In the photos you can see how great it turned out. Now where they lost their stars is in communication and dealing with conflicts. 1st issue - We had a dumpster provided that they subcontracted and had a number of issues. James gave my husband the phone number to contact dumpster company and "deal with the issue". As a customer all issues pertaining to a subcontractor that THEY hired should have been handled by them and not us. 2nd issue - some of the fence posts they installed warped and we asked for them to come repair. We had to text and call about 10 times! We were given dates that someone would show up and then no one showed up and no communication about 5 times. Continuous calling and text had to occur with the same result. Then random out of the blue one day someone showed up to fix the fence and once again no communication to inform us they were coming nor after to check how the repair went. This process was extremely frustrating and clear that dealing with conflicts isn't their forte.

If after coming out they decided that they didn't want my business I would've thought the professional thing to do would to just say thanks for the inquiry but this is a project we're not able or willing to do. I've also noticed that it seems when someone gives him a negative review he can't find their information. Just based on his responses if I were a customer considering this company I'd reconsider after looking at his responses doesn't take responsibility for his actions.

While there are aspects of the project that we feel they did a good job with (mainly the pergola), we feel it's important to warn other potential customers of the issues we have experienced working with them. First, this company uses subcontractors, and unfortunately, many times they didn't show up at all to perform the work they were scheduled to do or performed the work incorrectly. This led to significant delays throughout the project and was extremely frustrating. It put us in the position of constantly following up to ensure the work was done and done right. As an example, the concrete steps we asked them to build were initially very narrow and a safety hazard. We asked them to correct that. Our pergola was not built correctly according to the design, and we had to ask them to correct that as well. The railings around the patio were installed incorrectly, and again we had to ask them to correct this. We understood that the stain of the existing patio may never perfectly match the new concrete patio but the colors are not even close. Dominic was our main point of contact with Freedom and was apologetic every time this occurred (which was frequently) and let us know the excuses the subcontractors provided. They did make these corrections, but what I'm not sure Dominic (and Allen) with Freedom understand is that this is absolutely a reflection on their company when they hire subcontractors that either unreliable, incompetent, just "don't care," or all of the above. Unfortunately, they had already stained our concrete steps so when they did fix the prior sloppy work, the stain didn't match the remaining patio. The biggest complaint that we have with them is that once the entire project was complete (in April 2023), within a month the concrete overlay that they had put on our patio to match the extended patio we built (which it never did) started to deteriorate in a section of the patio. (We now know from speaking with others who have knowledge of concrete work that this overlay was not installed correctly from the beginning). We immediately informed them of the issue and 3 months later (after repeated texts) they repaired the section of damaged overlay without restaining. In other words, we had a large white patch of concrete on our brown stained patio for another 2-3 months. Again, after repeated texts and excuses, they finally let us know they would be sending someone out to stain the patched area of concrete. We had asked them to ensure that the patched area matched the remaining concrete and asked them to fix the issue with the entire patio being multiple different shades of stain. To this they asked us to either pay $3800 to correct the poor staining all done on our patio by THEIR contractors or only stain the patched area of concrete for free. We absolutely refuse to pay Freedom more for THEIR work that was not done right to begin with and agreed for them to only stain the patched area (with the expectation that it would, at least, match the existing patio). Of course, it doesn't and looks awful. I included a picture here so you can see how bad this looks. We are now left with a concrete patio that is 4 different shades of brown and is an eyesore. We have texted Allen and Dominic multiple times to ask that they do the right thing and restain our patio so that all of THEIR work is one color. What is very disappointing is they are not even responding to us anymore. There is no sense of wanting to do the right thing for their customer or even taking pride in the work they are doing. It is very disheartening that after trying to be understanding with them throughout all the delays/failures in the project once they got their money they really didn't seem to care. Allan/Dominic/Freedom Outdoor Living, if you are reading this and would like to correct your staining work on our patio and make this right, we would gladly welcome it and be happy to amend this review.

The job is almost complete and we are VERY happy with it so far. 2. Install a buffet cabinet in our dining room and install countertop. 3. Remodel our kitchen. The kitchen remodel will entail replacing granite countertops, lowering part of a countertop, replacing backsplashes, fixing drywall, moving electric and plumbing, installing an electric cooktop, and painting existing cabinets. 4. Fix drywall in half bath and repaint. The garage project is almost complete and the buffet cabinet was installed. All that remains is the kitchen remodel, the buffet countertop and trim, and the bathroom repainting. This company is the best contractor company I've experienced in my 62 years of life. They are communicative throughout the process. The company's namesake, Herbert Hernandez, was our first contact. He worked with us throughout the design/idea process, made sound suggestions and recommendations, provided us with a sensible, affordable estimate, and presented an excellent plan and schedule. The project manager, Mario, is on site regularly to check on progress, to answer questions, and make recommendations/suggestions. The job supervisor, David (Herbert's brother), is fantastic, as are Raymond and the other guys, whose names I can't remember right now. Their work ethic is superb, and they are 100% customer oriented. They're on time, they work hard, do excellent work, clean up their messes, talk to us throughout the work, and far exceed my expectations. I met with Gianmarcos (Axis) and we had a good conversation and went over my specifications. (I am extremely detail oriented and picky) He left me impressed even though he is pretty young, I think early 20's. While he was putting together estimate, the other contractor called, this one right away was not listening to me and I just said, not interested, we did not even meet. I ended up doing some research on Axis, Better Business Bureau did not have any information on Gianmarcos or Axis, all I found was company was very new. So, it was either take a chance on this young man, or look for more estimates. A day later, he texted me estimates and they were solid, with my first impression he gave me, I hired him. His entire crew was professional and they were very communicative throughout the entire process. One of my main pet peeves is up charges on top of estimates. I like knowing costs up front. Even though I had two up charges on my project, they were both legit, one was adding rock around gazebo, it was Gianmarcos suggestion rather than just base which was original plan. It worked out well. Second was an extra electrical box since existing one was maxed out. Like I stated before, I am very picky, I wanted several switches, to control bug zappers, fans, lights, speakers, heaters, etc. all this was done, expertly in my opinion. They even fixed a couple things I was not totally happy with without complaint or up charge. All that is left is staining, which could not be done because of temperature drop. As long as they come back to complete staining as promised, this will remain 5 stars. I am very impressed with this company, I had to make this post.
