I hired this company for a concrete project, and the overall experience was frustrating. During the work, large sections of my yard were torn up. Sod was removed and thrown on top of other grass, trenches were left open, and several sprinkler zones were damaged and responsibility was not taken. My yard wasn't perfect before, but it was grass, not loose dirt, mud, and scattered dead patches. To their credit, they did come back and refill the trenches, restore the holes, and fix the sprinkler issues after I pointed them out. However, I had to rearrange my own plans to be present and make sure the repairs were actually done, which shouldn't be necessary if things were handled correctly the first time. Even after the repairs, the side yard was not returned to its original condition. I attached photos of before they came and after the job. The removed sod was not properly replanted, the area was left uneven, and instead of actual sod replacement I was told they would "drop hybrid seed," which is not a proper fix for sod that was removed or destroyed. The photos show exactly how my yard was left. While the concrete itself turned out fine after coming back to fix mistakes, the landscaping/restoration side of the job fell far below professional standards. We used this company about one month ago. I originally refrained from leaving a review for many reasons, but now--4 to 5 weeks later--we are still finding issues with the work they completed. From the start, there were multiple miscommunications, and everything felt rushed. Steve was very quick to schedule us and eager to begin, but unfortunately the work itself was rushed and poorly done. Please see attached photos for proof. We added one step in our backyard and confirmed the exact measurements with Steve and his workers beforehand. The step they installed was extremely uneven, the wrong size, and did not match what we discussed or what was stated in our signed contract. When we addressed the elevation and crookedness, the employee told us it would be "too much work" to fix. When I pushed back, he rolled his eyes and reluctantly said he'd get it done. I am not a confrontational person, so it took a lot just to advocate for a correction that should never have been an issue in the first place. They also left our yard looking like a disaster. They claimed to have replanted grass in certain areas, but all they did was lay new grass on top of dead grass, which quickly turned into mud and more dead patches. We ended up having to spend additional money to buy multiple pieces of sod and redo the entire area ourselves. There were several days where Steve told us he would arrive at a certain time. We rearranged my work schedule, my husband's full-time schedule, and even my daughter's routine to be available--and then waited 8+ hours with no one showing up. On top of that, our sprinkler system stopped working immediately after their project. Steve insisted it was not caused by his crew. However, our sprinklers had been working completely fine right up until the day they worked on our yard. One of his own employees later told us directly that Steve's team did, in fact, cut the sprinkler wires. That same employee mentioned that this company has damaged multiple sprinkler systems and yards in the past but continues taking on this work with limited experience and knowledge. We spent a few thousand dollars on this project and have now spent even more repairing the damage. As of today, we are still working on fixing the step, cleaning up the mess they left behind, and repairing sprinklers that remain nonfunctional. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing and costly. I would not recommend this company. read more

A woman contacted me with her husband's contact information (Steve Garcia) and his company's website. I really liked the work I saw on the website, so I scheduled a free consultation with Steve that Thursday. He came out and was very knowledgeable about the materials and what would and would not work for my yard. I had a rough idea of what I wanted; I knew I wanted xeriscape, something very low-maintenance. He was able to create a design that incorporated exactly what I wanted, and where my ideas fell short, he used his creativity and expertise to fill in the gaps. He gave me a very fair and detailed estimate and let me know he could start as soon as it stopped raining. Fast forward a week later, he and his crew were able to finish the job today after just two days of work! The results are AMAZING! The owner was very professional and responsive. Very timely and organized. Issues occurred after concrete was laid, and the sprinkler system had to be capped. Our main sprinkler zone had many leaks and issues after the project was completed. Beastmode was able to fix one of the zones. We had to hire our sprinkler company to come repair the leaks in the other zone. Beastmode did cover the bill, however. Over all they were good to work with. read more

I am a 20+ year retired Veteran of the United States Air Force and I found Beastmode (Steve Garcia) on the Next Door app where very good reviews had been posted. Because of the good reviews and because Mr. Garcia touted himself with his military affiliation, on November 3, 2023, I entered into an agreement with Beastmode. The scope of the work (landscaping and concrete work) and cost for the work was agreed upon. I paid Mr. Garcia the requested $7,000.00 as a deposit and the work began on November 16, 2023. By November 29, 2023, the work was 90% completed. What was left to be done was that after the concrete cured, it was to be stained; my fence was to be repaired and stained as Beastmode employees damaged it and my shed was also to be repaired. Because Mr. Garcia repeatedly assured me he would be back to complete the project, despite my better judgement, I gave him the requested balance of the contract in the amount of $7,030.00. In December 2023, a rep for Beastmode did come out and did return my fence to the condition it had been found in, but my shed was only partially repaired. It was at this time that Mr. Garcia said the concrete was still not dry enough to stain. On February 6, 2024, I reached out to Mr. Garcia to inform him that the concrete had cracked in multiple locations and to inquire when the concrete could be repaired and then stained. On February 23, 2024, Mr. Garcia told me the current temperature outside was not good to perform concrete work and to wait until mid-March for the stain but, also to make sure the cracks did not travel any further. In April 2024, I asked Mr. Garcia for a refund so that I could get a professional, reputable and prideful company to come out and do the job correctly, he refused saying the work was under warranty with Beastmode. On May 24, 2024, Beastmode rep came out and horribly completed a sloppy and subpar job of filling in the cracks on the concrete and at the same time killed my grass and slopped concrete all over my fence. It is now February 2025, and the concrete has cracked even more, it still has not been stained, my fence still has concrete slopped all over it and my shed still needs to be repaired. However, Beastmode has found the time to start and complete other projects in and around San Antonio. Anyone who is thinking of hiring this company PLEASE contact me and I can show you the "work" of the company known as Beastmode Landscaping Enterprise LLC.
