We first came across Diamond Entertainment at a wedding vendor showcase and their music was spot on what we were hoping for. We hired Joe as our DJ and to play acoustic guitar during the ceremony. My husband and I created some inspiration spotify playlists and easily shared them using Diamond Entertainment's platform. Joe did such an incredible job creating the perfect soundtrack for the evening. Dancing is a sensitive subject with the new rules but Joe handled it gracefully. His personality and handling of the dancing portion was truly the best. He encouraged guests to wear masks and celebrate while also continuing to keep the bangers coming. We had the BEST dance party planning everything from 2000s Rap, R&B and EDM. Multiple guests said it was the best wedding DJ they had heard. This review is a long time coming! We booked Diamond Entertainment at the recommendation of our venue, Milagro Winery, as they're on a preferred vendor list. Our DJ needs were fairly basic overall, so we decided to go ahead with a team that was recommended and had worked our venue before. After we'd had an intro call and signed the contract with the company well before the wedding, the ownership changed and our previously selected DJ was no longer with the company. Although we were disappointed, we are so grateful Kyle was our wedding DJ! Once we discussed the transition with the new owners and made sure our contract was still intact, we had a few calls with our new DJ, Kyle, to touch base before the wedding and he got to know us - it truly felt like he wanted to be a part of our vision and integrate with our wedding goals rather than just show up and do his job, get paid, and leave. He was stellar! We talked about music, overall vibe, certain songs for specific parts of the timeline, mic setup, etc. He was communicative with us, our coordinator, and worked with our officiant directly to coordinate timing of music, mics and sound. Plus, we knew we were interested in certain genres and made a playlist we provided, but after talking to Kyle we knew we could trust him to fill in the blanks for the rest of the evening. And he did great! Our guests had such great things to say about him, and we had so much fun on the dancefloor. We truly had what I refer to as the "emo hour" to close out our wedding night, complete with a (gentle) mosh pit and singing at the top of our lungs. It was amazing, and will be remembered forever. Plus, he knew we are SDSU alums like him, so he brought his SDSU flag and we got a great shot of all the alumni who were guests, holding the flag. All these great touches made the night perfect. Five stars isn't enough for Diamond Entertainment and DJ Joe. They were one of the best vendors we booked for our wedding, and I'm so, so glad we found them through our venue. We absolutely loved working with Joe. He is: - Insanely responsive and checked in with us multiple times throughout the months leading up to the big day. - Super organized. His online system makes it really simple to select songs and specify when you want a certain song played (walking down the aisle, grand entrance, first dance, etc.) - Talented! Whether it was during dinner or on the dance floor, he knew the right songs to play based on the few songs we told him we liked. The sax player was our special surprise during our first dance and it was a true vision come to life! From the beginning as we tried to plan our wedding last minute their website had absolutely everything we needed to pick the perfect music for our wedding. The planning tips were an unexpected bonus on their website. DJ Steve was very personable and made sure everything flowed smoothly. During our wedding reception, DJ Steve helped the timing events flow. The music he played was incredible. We requested the music to not be loud from the beginning and he did exactly that. Joe is the man! We knew our wedding DJ would be the most important vendor for us. My husband and I love dancing and we are super specific about our music. We had a hard time finding a DJ because we had such a hodge podge of music genres that we wanted to be played (hip hop, r&b, and like 5 subgenres of EDM like house, techno, trance, psytrance, dubstep) and joe offered us a solution! He offered to do a sample mix of these genres for me and my husband and I found ourselves screaming in excitement that we'd found ~the one~!!!
