Unfortunately, the program does not accommodate or support children with special needs. Staff reacted harshly to behaviors related to her diagnosis and made decisions about my child without communicating with us first. There was little understanding, flexibility, or inclusivity. I would not recommend this place to families looking for an inclusive and supportive environment.

From the owner, Morgan, who is amazing and supportive, to Keisa, who is just a powerhouse, an inspiration and mentor, to all of the teachers and staff (many of whom, including Morgan and Keisa, are former Rockettes) who create a rigorous, yet collegial environment for expression, this program is top notch. The best part is not that the students who wish to will be prepared for any profession program (which many former students have gone on to do). What's most impressive to me is that NSB has become an extension of our village, supporting the important life lessons that matter to us. The facility had several soccer turf fields, gymnastics area, and couple of basketball courts. The lobby area had a ton of awards, medals and trophies that all the teams won. There were multiple vending machines as well. There were several party rooms at the back side. The rest rooms were kids friendly, as they had mini sinks at lower height for smaller kids. There were multiple staff members assigned to conduct the party. First they took the kids to basket ball courts where they did some relay running, played dodgeball and then did rope tug wars. They took the kids to fountains for water break few times. After the activities, the kids went back to party room where they were served pizzas, fruits, cheese platter, juice and sodas. The pizzas were decent. Finally they orchestrated the birthday song, assisted with cake cutting ceremony and handed slices of cakes to everyone. Overall the service from them was nice.

Cory was so kind and patient with me and he really left a lasting impression, so we kept in touch. Arsenio was our staff belay person and he was great at encouraging my son and I (especially) to keep going to the top and we did on a couple walls! Staff here is nice and welcoming but we were a little confused on where to leave our things but luckily I spotted lockers in the bathrooms, no lock needed - there's instructions on how to set it up nearby! We had so much fun challenging ourselves to something new like this and will be back again, soon. Parking in Hoboken is always tricky but not too bad on a Thursday night when we came just arrive early to look for a spot. And book online!

My son was registered at NYC Elite Gymnastics last year. As a warning for all parents signing up,…read moreyou must pay for the full month of classes regardless of whether the gym cancels classes or has no classes because of holidays. No credit is issued. My son was registered for November and December. The gym did not have classes in half of November and half of December because of the holidays. They do not give you credit for the missed classes so you end up paying twice the price and the monthly tuition is pricey to begin with! I called them on this and they said they only allow make-up classes BUT (and here is the kicker) they do not track the make-up classes AND it cannot be applied to your child's future classes for the same time and date AND you have to call them the week before to schedule the class on their availability, not yours. Since my son only takes gymnastics once a week on a certain day and time, it's really hard to find a second day and time in the same week for the makeup classes because all the classes we want are usually taken (weekdays after school and weekend mornings). Since they don't even track make-up classes, it seems like most parents end up not using them anyway. This seems really shady to me. We do like the classes but as a note, please sign up for the months where there are no holidays.

This place is insanely expensive and they keep raising prices every year. A 55 minute class for a 9…read moreyear old is $79 ($317 for 4 classes). Compare that to my $38 SoulCycle class ! When they are closed you still have to pay the whole monthly amount and they offer a make up class instead. It's probably worth the cost if your child wants to become a gymnast in the future but $79 per class to learn how to do a cartwheel is just insane. Unfortunately there is no other gymnastics place nearby and they seem to take full advantage of that.

I'm also seeing progress when it comes to him listening and getting used to structure. The teachers are awesome, and seem to know every child's name, even when we haven't been in for a while. They seem very comfortable with the children, which in turn makes me more comfortable bringing my son. My favorite part is that the gym space is different every time! All the structures are always moved around and set up in different configurations. The classes are usually 50-60 min, starting with circle time and some exercises, different skill activities, open play, independent play and then a puppet show or something similar. Consistent enough to know what to expect, but with enough variations that you're not bored out of your mind. The my gym location is easy to miss if you've never been. It's sandwiched between a church and some type of fitness place. Right across the street from Hamilton Park (with lots of playground space in case your little one still has energy) and coffee shops/deli close by. Really nice area but parking can be a pain. I always give myself some extra time for that. I was able to pause my account for a month when we were out of town, so that was really convenient!
