I was sad to learn that he was not going to be her teacher anymore after one year by her side. The next instructor Ms. Beth is nevertheless wonderful. She is patience and understands that each child learns not only differently but at their own pace. Whether you are in a group or one on one swimming lesson, the swimming instructors at this location are GREAT!!!! I'm honor that my daughter can be train by them.

A short time later, the girl told me the lockers cost $20 every month. I find that to be ridiculous and said I would like my $20 (that I had just paid less than an hour ago) refunded. A very rude young male employee said it's non-refundable. I said I'd like to speak with the manager. He told me she was teaching swim lessons and she wouldn't be available for four hours! I will be back at the gym tomorrow or the next day and will update my review on this situation.

Her corrections are subtle yet transformative, and she leads with both authority and empathy, creating an environment of confidence, safety, and growth. It is regrettable that Liz's talents are not more broadly acknowledged within the gym. Her classes do not receive the same visibility or promotion as many of the more mainstream group activities--and that is a disservice both to her as an instructor and to potential students who would immensely benefit from her expertise. This is especially poignant during the season of Diwali, a sacred time in September/October that honors light over darkness, spiritual renewal, and the triumph of knowledge and mindfulness. Liz's approach to Pilates--centered on balance, breath, focus, and inner strength--resonates powerfully with the spiritual symbolism of Diwali. In fact, her class would have been an ideal program to promote during this period, as it aligns so beautifully with the themes of illumination, inner harmony, and self-transformation. Liz is not just a capable instructor--she is an extraordinary asset to the Pilates community. She deserves far greater recognition, support, and promotion so that more students can discover the profound value she offers. YMCA management needs to be open to your members needs. The diversity and age audience has changed. Idea - perhaps incorporating yoga class nights for couples while their children are being taken care of? I am 44 yrs. old, didn't know…read morehow to swim and was terrified of being unable to touch the bottom of a pool, which I think was triggered at a young age. I've been to so many places with beautiful pools and the ocean, and I guess I just pretended that I was okay while everyone was enjoying themselves, but I was not. I committed that I needed to learn how to swim to overcome my fears. I researched the web and watched many YouTube videos when I found SwimEasyNY. I first hesitated to call, putting it off for several weeks until I just said I needed to make the call. SwimEasyNY provides group classes and private lessons. For myself, I wanted private lessons since I prefer one-on-one training programs. Krzysztof (Miracle Worker, Training Coach Extraordinaire) scheduled me for our first session the next day after my call. Of course, I was terrified, but, Krzysztof immediately left me at ease when we met and started our session. First was breathing techniques at the sallow end, while Krzysztof provided constant reinforcement and some good laughs, which helped tremendously! I never felt unsafe or judged by anyone on Krzysztof's team; they're all WONDERFUL and create a great positive atmosphere for everyone--there is no judgment. After my 4th session, I was heading to the deep end, again, with Krzysztof's positive training techniques, and use of a board for assistance, which is something I would never have done before in my life. Krzysztof always provided positive reinforcement to show that water is not your enemy but something to enjoy. Today, August 5, 2022, was my 6th session when something clicked, like riding a bike; I started treading water without assistance or holding onto the side of the pool. I'm saying this because I wasn't thinking about it while talking to Krzysztof until we both realized I was doing this without any instruction. I then swan the entire pool length without a board and swam the whole distance again on my back. Onto more great sessions. Just AMAZING, INCREDIBLE! These three absolute legends took an adult who used to treat puddles like potential death traps and taught me not just the basics, but how to tread water, how to stay calm without feeling the bottom, and -- wait for it -- how to jump off the edge of the pool into the deep end. They also offer a variety of time slots, including classes starting as late as 5 PM, until 7.15 pm which is perfect if you work a 9-to-5. And the best part? It's super affordable, especially for the level of personal attention and support you get -- and the caliber of instructors you're learning from. I've laughed, panicked a little, swallowed enough pool water to qualify as a human sponge -- but I've learned to swim. And more than that, I actually enjoy being in the water now. InstaSwim has been great to work with. I wish I had found them before a different swim school. I…read morelost so much time with the other swim program constantly telling me they couldn't find an instructor that could work with my toddler's schedule. I was matched with an instructor on the same day that I sent in my request to InstaSwim. Unfortunately, the initial instructor was not great & kept cancelling on us. I ended up calling InstaSwim & they worked to match me with a different instructor who contacted me the same day. We ended up being matched with Kendra, who has been absolutely amazing with my daughter. She is very patient with her & my daughter has even been trying to do floats & her kicks in the tub. Due to all the delays of trying a different swim program & finally being matched with Kendra, the weather has gotten colder. Thankfully InstaSwim offers an option to downgrade the swim package. I contacted them & was able to downgrade from 12 to 6 lessons with no issues. I highly recommend InstaSwim!
