Brought a 5yr old Movado in for a watch battery, the jewelry replaced the battery and were advised by the saleswoman to wait to make sure it was only the watch battery and not something else that was wrong with the watch. I thought to myself, the watch is well maintained and only 5 yrs old. After 5 minutes the watch wasnt working. She asked if we wanted to leave it for the jeweler to look at. Since I have my own personal jeweler, I said no. I'll take it. I dropped it at my jeweler, and he informed me the coil inside was cut in 3 separate spots and that it was done intentionally for an upsell. 1 spot could have been an accident, 3 spots is definitely not an accident. The cost to repair a coil is between 125-150.00. I didnt want to bother my jeweler for a battery since it is a busy time of year, but never again will I go anywhere else but him. I will never come back to this place again and I recommend no one else does. I bought an sapphire engagement ring from this place a while ago for $2000 and the engagement ended. I went back today to see if they could do anything for me and all they offered was a measly $75 to scrap it. They barely even wanted to give a receipt from my purchase when I went there. I went to multiple other jewelers and places only for them to tell me that I got severely ripped off and the ring is no where near worth the price that I paid for it. Turns out the ring is barely even worth $500 and the stones were low quality and is nowhere close to $2000 in price. A few of them showed me what a $2000 ring looks like and it was extremely different. They didn't even want to buy the ring off of me they were sorry for me and said I should sell it privately to recoup some of the money. The same thing was said from multiple other places and these aren't pawn shops I'm talking about. I would recommend everyone stay away from this place as they probably have done this to numerous people by jacking up prices. It's crazy how you guys can just rip people off like this. Shame on you but also shame on me for paying so high. This is a big lesson learned from my part. After speaking with the manager Gail they offered me $300 for the ring back stating "we don't want anyone unhappy" but why should I even bother considering they will probably clean it back up and put it back out on the display case for $2000 again. They could care less if you're happy. They just want your money. read more

I have been to this jewelry store before and have always been happy with my purchases. Recently we had some custom work done to my husbands wedding band and Also had a diamond ruby ring i saw in the showcase turned into a new band as my wedding band.( the jeweler took the ruby out of this ring and put it in my old setting and replaced it with my diamond) it looks AMAZING! The diamonds in the band are so sparkly accenting my stone even more! He had to custom make bridges to fit both stones. He is a true artist. I also have purchased a Christ head and chain from this location and a diamond wedding band in the past all just beautiful. The prices are very reasonable too. The Port Jefferson Station store is also a great store. I recently got a ruby and diamond ring and a blessed mother medal from there both beautiful and for a great price. Had a horrible experience at Diamond Jewelers recently. I have been using Diamond Jewelers for many years now. I dropped off my claddagh ring to have it soddered. When it was complete, no one called to let me know it was finished, I had to call them. Then, when I walked in the woman working there was so rude. I smiled and offered pleasantries and then stated I was there to pick up my claddagh ring. She promptly and rudely responded, "Well, we have a lot of repairs do you have the receipt?" I pulled out the receipt and handed it to her. When she walked out with my ring she holds it up and rudely states "Next time you should tell them to round out the sides of the ring" - I responded by stating that I'm surprised he didn't since usually the jeweler does round it out for me. She responds by saying, again rudely, "Well they want you to pay for everything now..." Awful experience and customer service and they tried to upcharge me 12 bucks when I dropped it off. When I responded by telling them what I have paid in the past for the SAME repair they lowered the price. But, the prices are totally arbitrary - avoid at all costs. read more

I went to this store this weekend with a friend who had a 10kt necklace that she needed a new clasp on it. It was late afternoon so could not be fixed until Tuesday when jeweler was in. The cost was 97.75. She paid it. Then later on she was thinking and said that was ridiculous. So in the morning she called back and told them not to fix it. She was told the jeweler already did it.. she told them to have him take it off she would be in for a refund.
