I brought several items to sell and a very sentimental gold and turquoise bracelet to be repaired - needed 3 extra links and 7 turquoise beads - Viola whisked away the items and said it was $300 - I shouldn't have accepted that and asked her to weigh the gold / there were also diamonds in the pieces. My mistake- she later told me that by law she doesn't have to give me an itemized price for what I gave her - I don't know if this is true - I have sold jewelry before and was never told this. She then takes my bracelet and 2 other small repairs- fixing a chain on my daughters nameplate and a cz stone - maybe worth $5 - When I got home I saw the estimate for the bracelet $700-$800 and I called Viola - she said she had to "high ball" it but not to worry it could be $300- $400 - so I said ok ... a week later I get a call that the charge is $775 plus the two smaller repairs - which I thought was crazy - she then says gold is $2400 an oz - I guess only when in their favor since my gold was worth so little - the worst part is I go and get the bracelet and after we got home we see after a couple of days 2 stones fell out and the other ones they put in have gobs of glue that you can only see when you magnify it - so disgusted read more

BEWARE!!! This unprofessional store is run by an obnoxious owner who employs an incompetent repair department that repaired and then "cleaned" my turquoise bracelet! Seriously a JEWELER SHOULD know turquoise must never be submersed in water or have chemicals used on the stones EVER!!! This heirloom is ruined and the owner hung up on us instead of listening and offering to compensat and MAYBE learning that they cannot do something that THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO DO TO BEGIN WITH!!!! I went here to get a bracelet fixed that belong to my grandmother who has since passed. My mother told them to just fixed the latch maybe clean it but not to adjust anything. It was off in length from one side to the other. But that was how my grandfather fixed for my grandmother. So it made it different and special. They wrote down the wrong number. So they couldn't called us to let us know when it was ready. And when my mother got it. Realized after the fact that they change the bracelet length to make it even. Which she said not to do. Terrible place ,customer service a zero for not listening. And felt like they were rushing us out. Don't go there if who have heirlooms that mean something to you. They will ruin it for you. I've been to Enricos once before but never had them change a watch until now. I Went in and I was so happy when the lady working the front told me they take credit cards. She went to the back and got a guy named Alex to help me! This guy was friendly, and nice to talk to. He thought he knew me from somewhere else. We talked but not for long because he was quick! I mean real quick. I gave him a couple of watches and could not believe how fast he opened them, took out the batteries, put the new batteries in, and closed them. I had to tell him how impressed I was! I thought I was gonna have to come back later or the next day. I've been to other places that took 20 minutes to replace one battery. After he finished He talked about his family and where he was from. This guy was great! Because of him I will be taking all my watches there to have the batteries changed for now on. My fiancé and I won a $500 gift card to go towards our wedding bands from Enrico's, which was incredibly generous to begin with. For various reasons our wedding was moved up more than a year, and since we're financing it ourselves, the gift card was able to buy both of our bands with the hope of future upgrades. I'm sure when they generously gave out the gift card they'd hoped we'd be spending much more money, but due to financial restraints we were unable to do to at this time. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, and even gave us a great deal on a band I fell in love with so they would fit in our budget. Had very expensive watch for25 years that stopped running after 6 months. Brought it back to fortunoffs who replaced battery and made it work for another 3 months. I gave up and stayed frustrated for almost 24 of the 25 years I had the watch. No one ever put the correct battery in including posh expensive jewelers, needless to say enrico made my watch like new. 2 years later and is still working. He also worked on my nugget gold bracelet. Twenty bucks, they kept the look of the piece consistent; you can't tell anything was done to it, hammared shank and all. I took it to another jeweler, who tried working on it for two days, then said he couldn't fix it. At Enrico's, the staff was courteous, prompt, and encouraging. They quoted $50, and that's what they charged. They reconstructed the band, replaced a small lost diamond, and soldered it together nicely. Stopped in here one day to browse for some earrings for my wedding. I was greeted by an adorable dog, but not so adorable owner. Not sure exactly who I dealt with, but he spoke and acted like the owner. It was a day during the week that I had off from work after a rough couple of days, so I didn't look my best. Well, I felt as though I was treated like a bum that came off the street. I also had a platinum ring I wanted to see if I could sell and the "owner", looking at me like I just stole it, told me he would only be able to give me $50 for it (meanwhile, I was quoted MUCH more at Budget Buy and Sell in Patchogue), not once looking at me in the eye. I for the life of me can't understand why anyone would give Enrico's any less than a 5 star review. I have been going to them for years & found their work to be perfection. I just picked up my engagement ring & insert that they repaired for me. I broke my ring finger 2 yrs. ago & the swelling never went down so I needed both rings resized & a new prong head for my engagement ring. They did a beautiful job & very reasonably priced. They also did another repair along with this one for free. It took me a while to decide to fix my rings because I was very nervous about parting with them but I knew I could trust Enrico's to do the right thing. I would not have wanted to bring them anywhere else. They also had them ready when they said they would. I don't understand the negative reviews at all as I'm very picky about my jewelry & they have always done superb work for me. I guess to each his own but I plan on continuing to do my business with them hopefully for many years to come. Horrible experience!!! Beware of low quality and poor professionalism. I was very disappointed with the service at Enrico's. I was sized incorrectly by the staff at Enrico's. I picked out a diamond engagement ring with a halo and pave stones around the band. Due to lack of knowledge, my ring was resized down 4 sizes instead of custom made, as a ring of this style should be. The diamonds on my band kept falling out and had to be replaced several times. I was without my ring for the majority of my engagement for the first 2 months of being engaged. Every time I received my ring back, which was supposed to be "fixed" another diamond would fall out. I was assured that it would never happen again 5 times. When my fiancé and I finally decided to return the ring and go elsewhere (which was long overdue) Enrico gave us a really hard time and did not take full responsibility for it. After several trips back and forth to the store and a tough battle with the staff and Enrico himself, Enrico finally semi-acquiesced and allowed us to return only the setting. We got back the money for the setting but we're not given back the money we paid in tax. It is clear that Enrico does not care about customer satisfaction. If you purchase anything from Enrico's I pray that you never have a problem with the product, because that is when we experienced his severe lack of professionalism and his true colors really showed. We went to Elegant Jewelers in Patchogue and got better quality for a better price, which excellent customer service! After getting a strange rash under my wedding ring, searching all over the internet and finally breaking down and finding a jeweler, (since we live in New York but our jeweler is in Pennsylvania) I called Enrico's. I called and spoke to Viola, who was super professional and exuded experience. She explained that my rings should be re-rhodium 'ed and to come down. She was equally sweet when I met her face to face and her conversation was very promising. Since my husband is very picky about who touches my jewelry I told him that not only was she smart on the phone, but equally intelligent when I met her. So, he took my rings and had the same experience. She had no problem with verifying the serial numbers on the diamond before and after he dropped of the rings and when I got them they were shiny and perfect. I cannot explain the nervousness we felt about trusting a new jeweler with our most valued jewelry and we were so happy. We came here to get our engagement ring re-sized and the woman at the counter was horribly nasty to us about resizing the ring, when we were picking it up, how it would be done, etc;. This was supposed to be an exciting moment for us and I would expect a staff member of a jewelry exchange to be welcoming and kind, she was all of the opposite. I got my wedding band custom made here and it was an awful experience from start to finish. I live about 35 minutes away and made several useless trips to approve designs that ended up never even coming to fruition. I would be told one thing on the phone and then would end up being told I would have to leave my engagement ring for a few days for some measurements, causing me another pointless trip back to the place. I always felt like I was working for them and their schedules despite me being the customer. I also dealt with several different people (who were normally not pleasant at all) throughout the process and no one was ever on the same page, making what should have been an enjoyable experience incredibly stressful. I was gravely disappointed once I received the band but just wanted to be done with the place so badly that I left. However, I couldn't ignore this one stone that seemed much more yellow than the rest that I brought the ring to another jeweler for an unbiased opinion only to find one stone was literally broken and the others were bottom of the barrel quality (and we paid PLENTY for this ring, mind you). We went back to Enrico who was annoyed I even went to another person and said he'd replace some of the stones, which honestly, I don't think was ever even done. I also have yet to receive the appraisal and I can only assume I never got it because he knows deep down the ring is nowhere near worth what we paid. The design itself has grown on me, but never in a million years would I recommend this place to anyone. My wedding ended up being flawless and I wouldn't let this experience put a damper on it, but it was certainly the most negative part of the whole thing. read more

PLEASE FOR YOUR SAKE, GO SOMEPLACE PROFESSIONAL! I had diamonds from my Mom and wanted white gold hoop earrings to set them in. Enrico custom cast earrings and when I went to pick them up, the inside of the hoops were dull and pitted. I mentioned this to him and reminded him that I had asked for shiny and bling. Also the earrings were chunky, the diamonds were set unevenly, very deep so you couldn't see them well, and the post so small it wouldn't extend through my earlobe. Enrico became very defensive and angry, raised his voice to me and was rude as another reviewer had mentioned. Enrico said that custom jewelry was dull and pitted inside due to the heat required to make it (really?), he then went into his work area and brought out an 8" buffing wheel and was waving it at me and said "see, this is the buffing wheel and it's too big to get inside those hoops. Besides no one is going to see inside there". I offered to pay him for his labor to redo the earrings which made him even more angry and he said no. I had already paid for the earrings, too bad huh. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, never to go back. Maybe he's good for resizing rings, or selling factory manufactured jewelry, (his staff seemed nice) but do not go there for anything custom. read more

He apparently "couldn't do all that work for $20 and It would be at least $50" Owner was rude on the phone. received my item with large marks on it that I had to have buffed out at a different jewelry store. Owner tried to tell me that I sent it in that way but I had taken photos before I dropped it off. Needless to say I will never return.
