Good food! Love the jambalaya! Totally a dive bar in a good way. Get the wings too!

Really, it's a 3.5. service, was a meh. She was cranky, not willing to tell me what beer they had on tap, had to walk up and look myself. It's a dive bar, so I'm not expecting grade A, but have the list available to people. Odd there was a bouncer at the door. Like it's a restaurant. Must get rowdy?? I don't know. It was Saturday at 7pm when we were there, nothing out of the ordinary. Now, this is not our first time eating here. We are from out of town and probably make it to grand forks once a year maybe. The first time we had wings here, out of this world!! This time...soup master zero. Absolutely drowning in sauce. And they were 5000 degrees, so too hot to eat and handle. By the time we were able to eat them, soggy. The wings themselves also, in our humble opinion too big. The drummies where huge!! I dont like them that big, again just adds to the texture problem. We got traditional buffalo level 15. Flavor was excellent and heat was nice and hot, but not challenging. Also got the peanut butter. Fun!! And the jelly side dip was an excellent pairing. Wouldn't want more than 6, honestly 3 would be good as a fun little novelty. The deep fried okra was a hard pass. Bland, soggy, stupid. Don't bother. read more

Favorite little dive place, but 5 star dive. Best wings around, best pasta and food! Cheap cold drinks, great specials. 21 and older only. Service is always good and the atmosphere has a nice garage feels. read more

Great staff and the best wings in town! The small dive atmosphere is cozy and makes for a fun experience.

We were in town for work and tried this place. I am not sure what the people writing these reviews were drinking when they wrote their reviews but they are horribly wrong. We bother ordering different type of pastas but they both tasted the same when they were supposed to be different. The food comes on paper plates which is weird and plastic forks. The pasta came on paper plates and not in a bowl and the spaghetti tasted like microwaved reheated pasta. The place is super dark and dirty. Maybe if they got real dishes they could save money and make better food. I am sorry but this place was a big let down and the parking is horrible as well. First off.... New England guy here (MA) so I'm certainly a picky PITA. Second, It's not a total 5. It's a 4.9 and for a legit reason, trust me. However, Sweet Dive. Seriously. You want a neighborhood dive in a place you wouldn't expect...PC is it! Staff is/was excellent. Scene, also excellent and the food also excellent* ... so I dove in on the wings; shark and buffalo style. Awesome. Simply, Awesome! Cooked right and totally saucy! Superb. Seriously, the Buffalo was right on point. It's certainly made my "tops" list...but....here's the thing... get smaller wings. Honestly, that's the miss. Smaller wings make better buffalo, even shark wings. Outside of that PC is totally my kinda place. I'm actually going to rethink and give it a 4.95. When you first walk in, your first impression is what a garbage pit is, but don't let the looks fool you. The wings were really good, and we had a couple of different cajun pastas. I was expecting the food to be questionable, but it was amazing. The bartender, maybe the owner, could see we were not regulars and tended to us personally. Get a real down-home feel. If we needed something, it was taken care of quickly. You could tell it was mostly locals, and they were there to enjoy the football game. Lots of cheering and a very friendly atmosphere. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only drawback was our table was a little sticky. It may have needed to be washed or just from the humidity in the air. The wings are the only good thing about it. The beer is really flat and stale. The place is filthy and tables and booths are ALWAYS sticky. TB was our server and she seemed irritated or annoyed with us the entire time. She was also hanging all over other male customers. I don't want to eat my food while watching someone yucky grind on people. It's way too loud and crowded in here too. So we won't be back. read more

This place was recommended to me by some friends and they said that they are most well known for their wings. For me, I can always enjoy some wings so I was down to try it out. When you get there, it's a small bar/restaurant and you have to be 21+ to get in. Once we got in, we waited for a long time too to be seated since it was packed and not much seating to begin with in the first place. We put our name on the whiteboard and waited and grabbed a beer. While we were waiting, they have some slot machines and a blackjack table that you can play and kill some time, but even the blackjack table was full so I didnt bother. We were about to leave after waiting for about an hour but then some spaces at the bar opened up and we ended up taking those seats. I ordered the wings in their SHARK STYLE sauce and it was really good. you can choose how spicy you want them. I ordered 10 spice, but next time i'm going to do 12, because 10 isn't really spice at all. I also had a side of fried okra which was good too, because it tasted like it was fresh cut okra and not frozen and fried. I would definitely come back, just hope the wait isn't as long. read more

Zipadee doo dah, yippidee yay! My oh my the wings at parrots cay. What a treasure. All around this place slaps hard. Just be mindful of your spice tolerance. To start, the shrimp were scrumptious and served with a tangy smokey jerk sauce. The hush puppies are just like mamma's, expertly crispy crust with a soft, yet hearty, center. The highlight is no doubt these wings. Plump and tender, it's true what you've heard. You won't find better for many, many miles from here. Our party tried just about every combination including blackened, shark, and buffalo. My favorite is shark, but others were partial to blackened. 40 is nuts hot, and maybe 25 a sweet spot personally. Jambalaya was on sale but proceed with caution. The 20 had me sweating and crying with joy. Not to be missed. Honestly, if their wings weren't so well known, I doubt this place would be so popular. It's way too dark and crowded, the grease they fry stuff in is always so gross that it takes over all the food flavoring. Paid like $17 for alligator bites two separate times and both times they were blackened along the edges and tastes like straight grease. Same with the fried okra I got with the second time. Their bartender didn't know anything about the beers they were carrying, I asked about gluten free options and he said he didn't know, and then came back ten minutes later trying to tell me a certain beer was GF when I know it is not, and kind of caught an attitude with me when I opted out of getting anything from the bar and got a lemon water instead. I don't understand how the reviews are so high here, this place gives me anxiety and I always leave feeling like a flushed a huge amount of money down the toilet for a barely mediocre experience. read more

Great wings and cheesy bread! Typically it's packed so the only downside is you typically wait a while for food.

This place is a hidden gem. I get their Shark Wings each time I go there. The plate they serve it on overflows with a unique bbq sauce that is heaven. You can also change the amount of spiciness on the wings. I believe they have 8-10 different spice levels! I try a new spice level each time I go there. They can be hot if you want them to be! These wings are the best wings I've ever had, and I'm a huge wing guy! read more

What a great little place. I love the jambalaya and the blackened shrimp. The poboys are also outstanding. My favorite thing is that you can really pump up the spicey-ness of dishes with their numbering system. It can get really packed and noisy but there is usually somewhere to squeeze in. The food is great and the service is fast, friendly and fun. I try to stop here at least once every time I'm in town - as long as I can avoid burger night and wing night when the place gets way too packed for my tastes. read more

This is probably my favorite restaurant in the whole state of North Dakota and probably the best wings I have even had. I recommend going when they have their specials on Thursday nights for the wings and beer. It's always crowded on those but there's a couple gambling options available to keep you entertained while you wait for a table. We went based on a recommendation from a friend. Nice dive bar feel with a good beer selection. We started with an order of the shark wings based on the recommendations online. We went with a 10 heat rating to be safe and if you like it hot you clearly need to go higher. The wings were heavily sauced and the spice was pretty cumin forward. They were very good and if I go back would have again a bit spicier. We then shared the Cajun pasta with andouille and chicken. The flavor was ok but everything was so overcooked it was not enjoyable The pasta was mush and the chicken was dry and inedible, Clearly they need to stick with wings. read more

This place is a 100% dive. Externally one would think, how? The complex looks fine and it doesn't add up. Internally it will take you back to your freshman year of college. HOWEVER. What is different from the smokey atmosphere and sticky floor he'll we remember best as a collegiate haze? While at first glance they've succeeded in the dive look, there are tv's all over with all the sports you want to see. The staff is super nice. And the quantity and quality of beers on tap is outrageously large. As for the food. I've traveled all over - even priding myself at having wings at the true inventor of the wing, anchor bar in buffalo, NY. This place gives it a run for its money. Huge variety of heat and flavors. Wings were meaty, and my level 10 didn't make me believe that I was summoning my inner dragon or have IBS. The sauce was nice - almost like the standard buttered franks red hot with added spices, probably cayenne and chili powder. Regardless, they were excellent and full of flavor. Also got the brisket poboy special. While non traditional, it was on a tasty cheese crusted roll and the meat was super tasty. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If you are in grand forks and looking for great beer, wings and pub grub at a reasonable price, this is your place. I'm just bummed they are closed sundays! I am not impressed about this place at all. Period:( In fact, I am totally disappointed of the place. It's all name and nothing else but a fancy name. We arrived shortly before 1700, and place the order about 15-minutes later:( We ordered chips and salsa for appetizer, and chicken wings and a chicken sandwich for the main entree. How can you mess that one? Our appetizer was very, very low quality. We got a disposable plate with stale, store-bought, very cheap chips. After a long wait and noticing that orders were taking too long, we inquired, and the hostess told us that the food would take another 20-minutes! The server apologized and inquired that if she would have known that we were on a limited time, she would have done something about it. But... we did ask her if food was going to be long. 40+ minutes for those simple items? I do not believe so. This is not the Taj Mahal or Tiffany's. Quite possibly the best wings you will ever have. Their known for their Buffalo, NY award-winning sauce known as "shark sauce" featuring a mixture of their heat sauce and BBQ sauce. The wings range in heat from 3-15, and if they know you or see that you can handle 15's, you can request as high as 40. Besides this scale, they also have "The Heat Elite Challenge" featuring The Source hot sauce that is attempted every so often for a $25 fee; if you're successful you'll receive a $100 gift certificate after waiting five minutes with a bowl of ice cream and a glass of milk in front of you. Besides their wings, my favorite items include their po' boys, lavosh, and fries. Yes, their fries are a notable item. I know other people I frequently go there with enjoy their pasta. The Cay, as it's often referred to, usually features a decent selection of craft beer (e.g. The Abyss by Deschutes, Bell's Hopslam, etc.). Their selection is comparable to JL Beers, but your dollar will go a lot further here. The owner Rob is always trying to get good new beer on tap. Lastly, it's not uncommon on busy nights to stand by the door and wait for a table to open up. They recently added a dry erase board to write your name down on the waiting list (attached to the memorabilia case). This is a wonderful little place with great atmosphere and great wings. This is the only place in Grand Forks that serves crawfish. You can get the crawfish by the pound or on your favorite pasta. I love the heat levels they have that you can apply to almost everything they carry. 1-15, 15 being blow your head off hot! On Mondays, they offer $1 burgers, and every day, they offer great local beers on tap! I really miss this place. read more
