He helped me with getting ski boots that fit perfectly! He molded the liner and shell which allowed me to ski the next day without feeling my shin bang at all! Thanks Diamond Peak! I was in the shop this past March and Bo expanded the shell on my right ski boot. It alleviated the discomfort I had and I'll see ya this upcoming winter to blow out my left. While I was waiting customers came in and they were greeted promptly and the staff seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Average ski store at best in my opinion. My wife and I stopped in here to grab a couple pairs of demo skis for a quick afternoon at Nordic Valley (we were both in-between on equipment having taken the last 2 seasons off and needing new bindings on our ~7 year old skis). Selection versus price was extremely disappointing. Most of the demo fleet was 2 or 3 years old at least and not in great shape. Given that they were charging something like $64 a day for these skis in Eden, UT just seemed like madness to me. Demoing brand new boards at Alta the next day actually cost us less! It'd maybe be an okay shop for an average rental, but if you want performance equipment, get it somewhere else for sure. Overall retail selection was very average. Not that much merchandise packed in so tightly that it was hard to look through it in an effective fashion. People working here were mainly kids also, albeit they were at least pretty friendly overall (but maybe not the best at customer service). Unless you really need something in a pinch, I'd go elsewhere in the area or stick to the bigger shops in Ogden. read more

Their website says drop off skis by 5pm guaranteed return by 8am next day for pickup. Showed up today at 4:30pm and was told they changed the guarantee to 4pm. Sure would've been nice to update the website so that it reflects current guarantee. As a result, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, when making mention that "you should update your website" and the attitude and response is "oh well...". read more

My kid both skis and snowboards and Diamond let us rent skis for 3 days and then swap it for snowboard for the next 3 days, all at the 4+ day price. Service was friendly and fast and the quality of skis (Völkl) and snowboard (don't remember brand) at the $25/day level was just fine. My kid is an intermediate/advanced level ski and snowboarder. They're open until 8pm on weekdays so on your last day you can do some night skiing at Powder Mountain and drop it off on the way out. Worked out well for us. read more

I usually just come in to get new gear, but I recently needed to get my road bike packed and shipped and they were able to do this for me, too! I just bought new ski boots this morning. I started the buying process at one of their competitors and ended up at Diamond as a result of poor service prior to driving in ...,Josh helped me out and Knows what he is doing. I did pay more but the payback will negate a little higher price. Sometimes trying to save $100-2 only costs. It was cool do you see a lot of customers, I'm doing that seemed happy to do business there as well. Solid local shop that has all the basics (for winter activities). Staff is generally very young and wants to move people quickly out the door which has its pros and cons. Not very personal or friendly but are sure to get you on the slopes even during the holiday seasons. Professionalism could use some work. Each time I rent a pair a skis the price range varies (3 days=$74, 4 days=$56). For anyone renting skis, emphasize how you like your bindings. They never tighten my bindings past the 2nd or 3rd weakest binding which forces me to tighten them on the slopes or bring them in after a long day of falling in any amount of hard skiing. read more

This was our first time skiing in Utah with our kids so, based on yelp reviews and a phone call ahead of time, we came here to rent our kids skis, boots, poles and helmets for the week. The service was patient, knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. My wife's newish boot (purchased at home, not rentals) gave her a lot of pain in the ankle one day and she was really miserable, so we went back to Diamond Peak to see if they might be able to adjust them. She walked out feeling really bummed, and she walked in with a big smile. Her boots have been super-comfortable ever since! (One of the workers who was especially helpful and knowledgable, and who fixed her boots, is a guy with long blond hair...so if in doubt, look for that guy.) So we had two great experiences with Diamond Peak in one week--the rentals and the custom boot fitting. The only really minor thing I thought a little bit odd was that the pricing for helmet rentals was a little bit high. The price for skis/boots/poles was lower than the resorts, so the total was still fine, but if anything I would think shops would want to encourage rather than discourage helmet use. read more

The staff (at least in the summertime) are great. Brice hooked me up in the shop when my wife's MTB needed a quick tweak. The guys in the front helped my wife with some new Smith sunglasses that she needed "mixed and matched" with different frames and lenses. I did have one experience at the shop that pissed me off in the winter time, which was never being acknowledged after 30 minutes of looking at boots/bindings. I ended up going to Salt Lake to buy my back country gear skis/boots/bindings. However, the summer crew have more than made up for it with their over-the-top customer service. read more

I made an appointment to have foot beds made and when I showed up they had given it away to walk-in customers. Figured it's busy so went and did something to fill the time and when I came back they had given the new appointment away to walk-in customers and told me they don't really do appointments. Their website says to make one and if they don't take appointments why didn't they just say so instead of wasting my time. read more

These guys advertise one thing, but when you come into the store its a different story. They had advertised tickets to powder mountain for $59, except when I came in to the shop to purchase them, first one of the employees didn't know how much the ticket was for, so she asked another guy that worked there, and the employee quoted us a price of $64 which is completely different than what was advertised on their website. They claim the pricingon their website is from last year. Then with snowboard rentals, three different employees quoted three different prices for the daily rate. LOL. This place is a bit of a joke. Head up to Powder or Snowbasin resort to rent gear. Better service, better equipment, at only slightly higher rates. Everyone here is nice and attentive though. read more

I brought in a pair of new ski boots I could only find online (yeah, yeah, I know, never buy ski boots online) and Keri helped me get them fitted. She heat molded the liners and set me up with a customized off-the-shelf footbed. I can't tell you what a huge difference it's made to my ski days. My old boots were absolute torture by the end of the day. The new boots (Full Tilts, if it matters) keep my feet comfortable long after my legs are toast. The fitting cost was extremely reasonable and Keri's service was fantastic, even though it wasn't a boot they sold me (or perhaps don't even carry). She didn't judge. :) This was my first visit to Diamond Peak but I'll certainly be back! read more

They do not demo women's versions of most snowboards which in my opinion is sexist. Because they did not demo the board I wanted to try, I decided to buy it on the sales persons recommendation that it's an amazing board. When I asked if it was the right size for me, and told him what size board I normally ride (150), he said yes this is your size you'll love it. So I bought the board, which was a 150 women's hover craft. Great board. Except I found out after the fact that jones recommends sizing down since the board is all nose. And now I know why. This board feels GIANT and I can barely ride it. The salesperson didn't know what he was talking about and instead of saying so, he gave me false information and now I have to figure out a way to sell this board I spent $650 on because it took riding it once to figure this out. I'm sure the salesperson meant well but that doesn't make up for the fact that he gave me blatantly false information and didn't bother to investigate my question. This has cost me a lot of money and time. I would not trust the salespeople or come back, and do not recommend this shop. read more

We have spent more than $5000 at diamond peak. We have referred multiple customers to this store. Our parents are locals and we rent and shop at this store all the time. This week our son forgot ski socks and with help from a salesman, we bought a pair of hot chili ski socks at diamond peak. My son put on the socks in the store and then put on his diamond peak rental boots. When he took off his boots that night, the socks had a hole in the bottom. When we went back to the store, the manager accused us of "burning" the socks. He would not refund the $22 for the day old socks or give us an alternative pair. After more than 5 years of giving them our rental/ tuning business, we will never go back. read more
