Well, if someone gets injured while out snowmobiling, at least you could give them a call to check on them. I've had surgery. I broke my foot in four spots, cause the snowmobile fell over on me because we went into deeper snow and we are not that experienced and the guide took us into deeper snow and I have never received a phone call four places I've had surgery And two cast in boot and I have a long long recovery. It's been emotionally draining stressful expensive. Up until the accident that I've never heard from them ever again we used them every year cause they were kind. We had great luck with them, but after that accident, I will never use lofty peaks again because they can't even have the consideration of giving someone that got hurt on their watch a phone call to see how I'm doing knowing that I broke my foot cause we went right to the emergency from there Just a bit upset read more

He answered all of our questions, made us very excited for our adventure, and even gave some great advice that made the actual guided tour more memorable and amazing than we could have imagined. While taking a quick trip up to Park City, we made a reservation to do a half day tour with Lofty Peaks. Here is our experience Staff - very friendly and laid back, they go over the paperwork with you and provide detailed instructions for your ride. We were able to rent a 4 seater which worked out great since we had some gear with us. Once we were thru the paperwork, the staff provided some driving instructions on our RAZR. Really easy to work with and appreciated their attention. Experience - With the staff providing detailed instructions, we were able to get to the mountain trails very quickly. Please note the start of the trail will take you by private property, please be respectful of the signage. The area was beautiful!!!! Going thru mountain trails, seeing all of Mother Nature to include a deer sighting, it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Parts of the trail are paved and smooth while some are rocky but fun. All in all, it was a good experience. My recommendation would be to log onto their website and make a reservation, any questions, call and ask. They have a lot of different activities to choose from. All in all, Lofty Peaks has so many different opportunities to get out and explore some beautiful scenery in Utah, I look forward to using their services again. read more

Absolutely amazing experience, 100% recommended!! My husband and I had been wanting to try snowmobiling but never got around to it. I coincidentally found Lofty Peaks through a flyer at our hotel and was instantly drawn in by the fact that they advertised true backcountry adventure, not a lame bumper to bumper tour like others. I emailed to inquire about booking for the following day and Jhannel gave me a call right away, assisted in the booking process and gave us a great deal on a private tour. This was truly a bucket list activity, we had an absolutely incredible time. JP was an excellent guide, we couldn't have asked for anyone better. He showed us how to ride, took us to some breathtaking backcountry spots and just let us rip, riding and playing alongside us. We're so happy to have gotten exactly what we wanted which was true snowmobiling letting loose and shredding in powder. Absolutely amazing experience. Completely worth every penny to off-road from the high desert to snow and pine trees in a half day! Their shop is extremely convenient to the Wasatch Mountains and Uinta National Forest. All their vehicles are street legal so there's no need for a car tow. The only thing I would suggest is a better map because navigating the trails can be difficult. I know it's not really on them but that was my only qualm. Highly recommend!!! read more

The best self-guided ATV tour! The employees that were working during our tour were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we were safe. While we were driving the machines from the Lofty Peaks location to the entrance of Wasatch Mountain State Park, we found that one of the roads we needed to take was closed due to construction. An employee from Lofty Peaks met us in his truck and guided us all the way through an alternate route to the park entrance. During our tour, we experienced some inclement weather. First, it was just rain, but then it turned into hail was we made our way up the mountain. Since it was August, we were only dressed in pants and sweatshirts and were not really prepared for hail. The same employee met us at the bottom of the mountain to make sure everyone was alright and offered that we could sit in the Lofty Peaks van to warm up before driving back. I will definitely sign up for a tour with Lofty Peaks again when the weather is nicer! I highly recommend! read more

Where do I begin... my family of five called the NIGHT BEFORE to book an unguided full day of snowmobiling. I believe the guy who helped me was John; however, he was extremely helpful and gave me a detailed price so I wasn't hit with hidden cost at the end. Lofty Peaks let us book even though we called on such short notice. Once we got there, they made the paperwork process very simple and quick. We decided once we were there, on short notice, that we actually wanted a guided tour. With the fog and falling snow we were too worried about getting lost. They had absolutely no problem with our change. Our guide, Brad, was beyond the BEST we have ever experienced! I cannot brag enough about his service and guidance. He was absolutely amazing and filmed us for us to have memories of our awesome trip. Towards the end of the trip one of our riders, a petite young lady who thought she was dressed well enough, ended up getting extremely cold due to the falling snow and cold temps. Brad did not hesitate to give up his gloves and coat to keep her warm. HE GAVE UP HIS COAT AND GLOVES!!! Talk about service!!!! He also continued to check on everyone to make sure everyone was okay. Talk about top notch service!!!!! I wish our budget would've allowed us to give him a bigger tip, but unfortunately it didn't. After the ride, can you believe they brought us back to our condo???? Yes, an employee brought us back to our condo in Park City. This saved us 30 dollars in taxi service.... which was extremely nice. Not only do I HIGHLY recommend Lofty Peaks for your snowmobiling experience, but we will definitely be back next year during our annual ski trip. Hopefully Brad will be available, but if not, I'm sure with the wonderful service, we will not be disappointed with any other guide! What a wonderful experience my family had!!! Lofty Peaks Adventures did a phenomenal job in ensuring that we had a great experience. From the moment I called to inquire about next day reservations, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Me, my husband and my parents had a 1000 reservation for a guided snowmobile tour. We got there at 0930 and the staff was so friendly and cheery. On the ride up, Chad and his colleague who drove (long haired guy, don't think I got his name) were very engaged, answering any questions we had and just conversing. It made for an enjoyable ride up the mountain. We were lucky and got 3 tours guides for the day, Bob, Elliott, and Chad. I can't express enough how amazing these men were. Bob and Elliott would go ahead and scout the trail while Chad led us. We're a little early in the season so the snow wasn't adequate enough to go off the trail much. Halfway through the tour we stopped at an open field to have a provided lunch, sandwiches and lemon bars which were really good. After lunch, they let us play around in the field on the snowmobiles which was soooooo fun. Chad, Bob and Elliott must have pulled us out of a rut at least 15 times. They never complained and were so patient. I think they secretly enjoyed doing so We had a great time with the whole crew and would definitely do this again next time we're here. We thought snowmobiling might be a good break in between ski days at Snowbird and we were right. My hubby and I are in our late 60's and had never snowmobiled before and our 39 year old son had done it once on trails only. Our guide, Will, was amazing! He explained everything very clearly before we started and then had us try things slowly, building up our skills and confidence. By the end of our tour we were right at home, speeding through meadows, going up hills that looked impossible in the beginning, and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. I've gone sledding with Lofty Peaks Adventures three times when I've been in Salt Lake City! Snowbird is already a cool enough place to ride, but adding the ton of acreage they have for snowmobiling and it's even better. Lofty Peaks has been incredible each time I've been there. Getting setup with equipment and the small bit of instruction before you taking off is a snap. The last time I was there we had Jacob as our guide. He killed it all day long. He quickly and efficiently ushered us through the equipment setup and instruction and we were off. Since it wasn't our first time on sleds, he was able to take us on some of the more difficult terrain he knew was safe instead of always sticking right to the trail. He also made sure to stop at some very scenic locations so we could snap some great pictures of Utah! If you're at Snowbird I would 100% recommend taking a snowmobile tour, whether you've done it before or it's your first time. It is AWESOME. Nothing but a pleasant and wonderful experience snowmobiling at Lofty Peaks. It was my first time doing it, and I had a blast. A must do if you're in Utah. We did the 1-hour tour, but it felt longer than that. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole way. At our halfway point, there was an open field where you can make as many laps as you want, as fast as you want. The tour guide takes you to the most incredible views and camera spots of the mountains. Two of my friends during the ride accidentally tipped over on the snowmobile... But we're all still alive with a story to tell. It also taught them a lesson of moving your body with every turn. My key advice. Come in an hour early (like they tell you to do). You may have extra time put on your reservation, and it makes the process so much easier. If you arrive late (like the party in front of us), you lose your snowmobiling time! read more
