I was contacted by the office manager…read moreregarding their policy that patients who reschedule three times may be dismissed from the practice. During this call, I was informed that this policy is not currently communicated to patients and that there are no plans to proactively share it. That was surprising and concerning to hear. To provide context, during my pregnancy when I was very sick I never missed an appointment and consistently arrived 10 minutes early. I was frequently seen 30-45 minutes after my scheduled time, but I remained patient and understanding, recognizing that delays can happen in medical settings and never complained. More recently, I had to reschedule my annual exam three times over the course of a few months due to circumstances outside of my control: a family emergency, personal illness, and then my child becoming sick. I never no-showed and never canceled the day of an appointment. Despite this, I received a call questioning my reasons for rescheduling, and the tone of the conversation felt unnecessarily rude and accusatory. I do want to emphasize that Dr. Brown has been wonderful, and all of the nurses I've interacted with have been kind and compassionate. My concern is solely with how this policy was communicated and the manner in which the situation was handled. I believe clear communication and mutual respect are essential in a healthcare setting, and I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the patient experience going forward.

I had symptoms of PID which I've had before so I made an…read moreappointment, my gyno was full for weeks but they assured me that the PA, Mackenzie Drimel was qualified to see me. I was wary but still came in. She told me that it wasn't PID despite me advocating it was as I know my body and have had it before. She dismissed me several times despite my extreme pain and discomfort. I decided to make another appointment at a different location and to my dismay it was her again. She told me, again, it wasn't PID and again, I intensely advocated for myself. Finally she gave in and said she'd go talk to my actual gyno. She came back in and said "she thinks I'm right and doesn't believe it's PID again". I said that I don't care and would like the medicine anyway. After several minutes of pleading she finally agreed to write me a prescription, and of course, within 5 days my symptoms were gone. I was right. I'm very unhappy with how this was handled. Flash forward to this week and I get a text for a bill from the 2 visits. $880 AFTER INSURANCE. I wouldn't have even had to come in again if she had just diagnosed me correctly in the first place. I will be fighting this charge and am very unhappy with this clinic. Do not see Mackenzie Drimel if you want to be treated with respect and be seen by someone who will actually listen to you.

I enjoyed my experiences with all of the doctors and PA's that I worked with especially Dr. Jordi. I am saddened that I will no longer continue my care with this practice and that I wont get to deliver with Dr. Jordi or any other provider that I trusted. It is scary being pregnant and working with a great doctor for so many years and then having to make a change. I am currently pregnant with my first child and going through some abnormal symptoms that I find concerning. I called my care team and let the nurse know of my concerns in hopes that they would get me in to check my vitals and baby. Instead I was met with comments like I need to go to the ER or see a Neurologist... I was very taken back as my symptoms were not emergent. I have been seen for so many years with this team and they had no interest in getting me in and checking my blood pressure or any other simple tests to see if that may be the problem to my symptoms. I called back again in the afternoon to advocate for myself and try to get in with my OBGYN to ensure my baby and myself are healthy. The nurse was extremely dismissive and wouldn't let me get more than two words in. As a first time pregnant women I began to feel emotional and scared as it was clear they they did not care about me or my baby and were not going to help me. I have never been spoken to so poorly or ignored by a nurse more in my life. The nurse also stated that "they do not have any same day appointments" and they "wouldn't be able to give me the care that I needed if I needed fluids"... Maybe if they got me into the clinic they could see what I actually needed and didn't need and then go from there?.. As a frightened first time mom I would hope that my care team would be eager to get me in to check on me and my baby. I called a different OBGYN facility and explained the same symptoms to their team and they scheduled to get me in immediately due to their concerns with my symptoms. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere if you feel you are not getting taken seriously by the nurses. Always advocate for yourself and find a team that listens and cares about your wellbeing! I hope other first time moms do not have to experience what I did.

We have been going to this clinic for ten years and almost immediately ran into problems with the…read morereception staff! Very poor patient relations skills. We loved the pediatrician so much we decided to bare with it and not complain. Eventually, after waiting over three or four years, the rude staff got replaced with real professional patient relation specialists and we were relieved! Then a few of years ago we had a problem with one of the nurses who broke a needle into my son's thigh for being too aggressive while giving him a flu shot. That made us go through an unnecessary procedure where we all had to get AIDS Testing (evidently the needle poked the nurse, too) and my son had to get another injection! I should have filed a complaint, but out of respect for our pediatrician... we kept our mouth shut. I should have taken that whole incident as a sign, because a few years later a man at the lab had to stick my son with numerous needles to draw his blood. My son was traumatized and crying out in anguish! I luckily had some over-the-counter lidocaine spray I used on him to relieve the unsuccessful numerous attempts! We weren't gonna let that man touch our son again. Which is exactly what we told the same male lab tech yesterday when we had to get my son's 11 year Well Child Visit labs taken. Some middle aged blonde chick comes over to prep my son and find a good vein and I proceeded to get my lidocaine spray ready for post-procedure and the woman declares she "won't allow" me to spray the numbing spray over the injection area. I immediately stated that I'm going to do it anyway and so she refused to proceed with any lab work. I bust out cussing them out for being sadistic psycho freaks as I left the building. Needless to say, we no longer need the services from any providers at this location! There apparently is a pattern of staff that appear to enjoy hurting children there. I highly do not recommend this clinic. Your children deserve better!

I have a pretty rare medical condition, and information I found indicated that the medications prescribed could cause issues. And yes, I know there's a lot of false information online, which is Why I Called. I told him what happened to me and he basically called me a liar. I had a severe reaction to Zofran while the paramedics were working on me. My blood pressure, according to paramedics, was 80/40. I told him that and he said, verbatim, "No it wasn't." I told him the paramedics had to try 3 times to even get a blood pressure on me. He said, verbatim, "No they didn't." My husband was in the room when paramedics were there and saw/heard all of this. I told Smiley I was concerned because my condition is rare and some doctors aren't familiar with it. The doctors have told me this. Smiley said that wasn't true. He said that since the meds were prescribed in hospital there is no issue and I should just take them. So aside from giving me bad medical advice, he was rude and dismissive. I can't help but think that if I was a man I would have gotten better treatment. I don't know if Voyage records phone calls like some businesses do, but if they do I would highly recommend they listen to the call. That being said, everyone else at the Voyage clinic in Osseo are absolutely wonderful and I've gotten great care from them. Big shoutout to Mr. Horn and the rest of the staff.

Over the past two years, I've had a very frustrating experience with Minnesota Women's Care in…read moreMaplewood. Communication was consistently poor. Phone calls and voicemails often went unanswered, and even when messages were taken, I frequently did not receive a callback. Twice after appointments to adjust my HRT prescription, the wrong prescription dose was sent to the pharmacy. Because compounded medications cannot be returned, I ended up paying about $140 twice before the errors were corrected. Each correction required numerous phone calls, long hold times, and repeated back-and-forth between the clinic, nurses, pharmacy, and my primary care office. I also experienced delays due to an incorrect lab order being sent. Although my provider was always kind and pleasant during appointments, the follow-up care and communication were extremely disappointing. Every refill became stressful, time-consuming, and left me feeling like my concerns were an inconvenience. The office manager was the one bright spot--she listened, was professional, and took my concerns seriously. I only wish I had been directed to her sooner, although I don't feel comfortable patronizing a medical facility where I have to tattle to the manager to get my healthcare needs met. I've since transferred my HRT care elsewhere, where the process has been much smoother and more affordable. I believe patients deserve timely communication, accurate prescriptions, and coordinated care, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.
