I purchased a vintage watch online as a birthday gift for my girlfriend which was not large enough…read morefor her. I brought it in to Timco and discussed lengthening the clasp. He said he could have it done in a couple weeks, well before her birthday. I left him a piece of paper showing her wrist length. Three weeks later, with a week before her birthday, he called saying the watch bracelet was silver but gold, and asked if we were replacing the battery. This was odd because we had discussed the watch being sterling silver and mechanical. A week later, in her birthday, I called to ask about the watch and learned Tim had not begun it. Later that night he told me he had another solution. I picked it up this morning and found he had drilled holes in the clasp and added a loop to extend it. I expressed some displeasure with this solution because it did not preserve the aesthetic of the watch and he said it would not be visible in her wrist. He also said the measurement I left "didn't help him," and in fact the extension is not long enough for my girlfriend's wrist. Now, after her birthday, I have to find another jeweler to reverse the unauthorized work Tim did and extend the clasp in the way I originally requested.

A great find. Was done work early and looking for a record store. Google told me it was a block…read moreaway. (How's that for fate?) Decent sized store with a more than decent inventory. Stereo equipment, jewelry, clothing, cds, and RECORDS!!! New! Used!! Repressed!! They have it. For the most part pretty well organized as well. One of the few record stores that actually has a country section! I found a bunch of albums that I hadn't seen before. Great find! I ended up with a couple of dozen albums that were a mixture of new and used, rock, metal and country. There's also a display case with pins, patches, buttons, and asst heavy metal wristbands etc where I did get some pins I haven't seen in decades. When it was time to check out, no bags. Nope. Don't want to have bags rip. A nice heavy duty shipping box that had all the packaging material so the records couldn't bounce around in the box. Very very considerate. Only downside was parking. While I did find a parking spot immediately in front of store, the pay kiosk is half a block away. I'm old and lazy. There is a walmart across the street with free parking. Had I paid attention, I would've parked there. But that's the only downside. I'll be back in Rutland in about a month. I will definitely make time to revisit this store. Thank you.

NOT to be TRUSTED. I paid him $15 to change my watch battery. When I returned to pick it up, he…read moresaid, "I set the 'Time' but not the 'Month' or the 'Date'." Honestly I rarely use these, so trying to be kind, I told him, "NBD, I use my phone for that" .... But, then it stopped ticking 2 days later. When I returned to the store, I requested he place a new battery in & asked that he show me the package (so I could check the expiration date). He walked out from the back with just the expired battery he removed from my watch to show me. So, I said, "No, I want to see the package of the NEW battery you're putting in, so I know it's NOT EXPIRED." He returned with his supply (i.e., 2 batteries: both expired 2020). I asked him for my $15 back, and he REFUSED because he said I did not have my receipt. Then, to make matters worse! ... on my Google 1-STAR Review of LIPPA's he lied, saying he "could not find my name anywhere in his computer system" ~ trying to make it appear as if I had the wrong Jewelry Store (funny... He never did ask for my name today; he simply stated without my yellow receipt, he would not REFUND ME $15 for dishonestly placing an EXPIRED 2020 WATCH BATTERY in my wrist watch) A THIEF is a THIEF (thieves always lie; they have, or they get caught) and a LIE is a LIE: a Tiger doesn't change their stripes, no matter how big, or small their kill is. LIPPA's does NOT DESERVE Anyone's BUSINESS, or TRUST. ~ I suppose if I walked in with an expensive suit & tie to buy an engagement ring, he would have had the decency to behave himself better & not steal from someone 65 y.o. on a fixed income. Shame on this man & his mother who raised him.

Buying rings can be an overwhelming experience but Mike and the staff were super helpful on site and thoroughly went over questions such as what we wanted; what was important to us; likes/dislikes; etc - and used that info to narrow the focus and show us options that would potentially work. Both the bride and groom are super happy with the results and Lippa's wedding bands will be with us the rest of our lives. We highly recommend Lippa's.

Jessi is very involved with the Rutland/Killington community and hosts sales and special events periodically (which she usually posts about on social media).
