I've been a patient of Dr. Aung for over 10 years now. I recently saw her for my annual appointment a few days ago, and I couldn't be happier with the care I received from her. She always has my best interests at heart. I can always message her with questions and get a timely response. Since I'm getting older, she recommended I get my hormone levels checked, which I thought was a great idea. I've noticed changes in the past year and I'm not sure if it's due to peri menopause. The hormone levels will help determine if what I am experiencing is truly peri menopause. Dr. Aung is an excellent gynecologist and I trust her. She has excellent bedside manners and is so kind and empathetic. She includes me in the decision making and listens to my concerns. I appreciate that she is thorough with her assessments and makes me feel comfortable and at ease during my exams. I love the new office location at the Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical location on Samaritan Drive. I can get my lab work done there as well as imaging and even vaccinations. She treats you like a number. Barely wants to engage, it's almost like she has a foot outside the door the minute she comes for your appointment. Under her care my epidural was unnecessarily delayed due to poor guidance provided and just in general I never felt she cared about me as a person. read more

Under Dr. Aung's care, we had lost our 34 week + 4 days old baby. From the beginning Dr. Aung would constantly be 15 mins late for OB appointments only to stay for a few minutes and then rush out the door, not allowing the opportunity for my wife to be able to ask the questions she needed too. She constantly felt ignored when she asked for an ultrasound, worried about the baby, and was denied it. Up until her last OB appointment while pregnant, she was still denied an ultra sound due to concerns about less movement, and within a week we had a still born. There were a few potential signs that could have pointed to a cause and yet Dr. Aung overlooked them, telling us it was a perfectly normal and healthy baby. We had a still birth at 34 weeks and 4 days, yet the baby was as small as a 29 week old (2 pounds and 15 oz), something that could have been caught if an ultrasound was done a week prior. My wife also failed to gain weight during the entirety of the 3rd trimester (actually lost weight) and yet Dr. Aung also failed to catch that. To her maybe we are a statistic, but we lost part of our hearts that day and the neglect we felt as a patient is unforgivable. Just saw Dr Aung and found her to be very thorough, took her time, discussed everything with me, and was very caring. I got my Rx called in immediately as well as referral for mammo that same day. Front desk also nice. Called next day to make sure I had gotten mammo referral. After 4 years, I've finally found my new gynecologist! Only thing to note, she only does 2 annual exams a day so it takes forever to get an appointment. Plan 6 months ahead ladies! That's only reason for 4* instead of 5. read more

My experience with PAMF obgyn facility in Los Gatos/San Jose and especially Dr Aung has been amazing. I highly recommend PAMF to everyone. They are affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital for labor and delivery. My experience with delivering at Good Samaritan Hospital was wonderful too and I had a great experience with all PAMF obgyns there (Dr. Aung, Yun, Choi, Jacob, Li). GSH has top notch L&D unit. Dr Aung has always listened to my concerns, responded to all my questions and devoted a lot of time for each appointment. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 29 weeks and Dr Aung made sure all precautions were taken and paid a close attention to my case. I was very disappointed by this office and this Dr. But I am happy that the disrespect and low level of care ( specially the unprofessional direct messages she send to me ) made me decide to move on to other care providers with more respect to patients and more sensitivity toward women in need of real care. I have been seeing Dr Aung for the past 3 years. During those 3 years, I went through 2 miscarriages and a live birth. Dr Aung is a wonderful doctor who is very positive and supportive. I first met her when I consulted to get ready to get pregnant. She gave me a wonderful advice and tips. I was pregnant 3 - 4 months after our first consultation, following her advice. Sadly, I miscarriage on 7 weeks, a few days before I was supposed to meet Dr Aung for the first ultrasound. Throughout the ordeal, dr Aung called me and checked on my well being. I really appreciate it. She's also very responsive with emails. After 2 miscarriages, I got pregnant again. I remembered how nervous I was when I first got my ultrasound with her. This time, my pregnancy went very well and dr Aung was monitoring me to ensure everything went well. However, I wrote this review mostly for my birth experience. I went through a 26 hour labor. For some reasons, mine didn't progress like I was expecting. The contraction started to come every 2 mins or 1 min even though I was only 1 cm dilating from the get-go. Dr Aung came and checked, told me to walk around in the hospital. I thought for sure I would get sent home because I didn't dilate as much, though the pain was excruciating. Dr Aung told the hospital to keep me (which I am grateful). Finally, after 24 hours, I finally went to 10 cam and it was time for the pushing. As a first time mom, I didn't know what to expect. The nurse was wonderful but after 1 hour, I was exhausted and I felt like I didn't go anywhere. I started having some dark thoughts, like I couldn't make it or I had to go to surgery. Then Dr Aung came in and all of sudden, I felt a fresh surge of adrenaline. She was so precise in her instructions, I felt like I was back to my training days in Muay Thai and got ready for a battle. Though it would take another 45 mins until my son came, I felt the difference and finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Each push got me closer and I finally did it. To this day, my parents (who were in the room with me) kept commenting on how good Dr Aung is. Today, my son is a healthy 1 year old. I am so grateful for my birth experience and the care I received from Dr Aung during the special and trying times in my life. read more

I previously saw a different doctor within this same office, but I wasn't 100% satisfied with her. They just switched over to PAMF, and added a few doctors, so I decided to give Dr. Aung a try for my annual exam. While I've only seen her once so far, Dr. Aung really made me feel comfortable and was easy to talk to. I felt like she really listened to my concerns and she's very thorough. Her assistant was also very nice and professional too. In addition, it seems like they've made some improvements to this office since PAMF took over. It looks a little more updated and I think the front desk runs more smoothly. Based on my first appointment I'd definitely recommend Dr. Aung and hope my future visits are as positive. read more

Dr. Aung helped me throughout my pregnancy. I enjoyed visits with her. She was always an attentive listener, gave proper advice and was very responsive to emails. I could ask her anything and she would always respond - often on weekends and off-office hours. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy but we did have lot of questions about smallest of things and she always heard us out. Another good thing about her is that she is very to-the-point. Dr. Aung was booked 5 months out at the time I made my appointment but I figured she must be good if she's so busy. I am so glad I waited to see her. This post is long overdue. Dr Aung is super great. We were trying to get pregnant and I had PCOS and was seeing an other doctor before we moved to south bay who was not very helpful or even listened to what you are going through. On the contrary, meeting Dr Aung was a huge surprise. She makes you feel very positive and gave the right advice and adjusted my medication accordingly. In a few months we got pregnant and initially had some spotting. But she gave the right directions and cautioned about what to watch out for. I went into labor while Dr Aung was still on vacation, she came by for my delivery though the on-call doctor was available and soon after delivered my first baby who was full-term with no issues. She is super dedicated to her work. She lets you chose your birth options and doesn't pressurize you to go one way or the other. As one of the other reviewers has pointed out, she is super responsive in her emails and I had mastitis and other feeding complications after the delivery and she was supportive throughout all my struggles. Fast forward three years, we are now pregnant with our second child and every time I meet her for my checkups, I am so grateful to have found her. She was one of the on call physicians who took care of me while in Stanford hospital for 3 wks. This is back then when Portola Valley Branch of PAMF had not closed. She is very nice. However, it took for ever to come and see me when I needed to be seen. I had lost a lot of blood wth childbirth and needed blood transfusion. However, nurses had to wait for her order before they could give me blood. I had passed out in the morning when I tried to get out of the bed. She did not come to round on me until noon. She would not give me a blood tranfusion, unless nurses would get me out the bed and try to check my blood pressure standing up and making sure my blood pressure would drop. I almost passed out again once they stood me up. She finally agreed to give me blood as my heart rate went up to 120! . read more

Our family is extremely blessed to have Dr. Aung in our lives. She has delivered 3 of my 6 children and our baby in heaven that I recently delivered at 16 weeks. She is a very caring and intelligent doctor. I have been seeing Diana Aung since I was pregnant with my 2nd baby. I use to have my check ups with her at Portola Valley, and now followed her to Good Samaritan Hospital. She always answers all of our questions, and responds to all of my emails. For my first pregnancy I picked PAMF Mountain View OBGYN. I had a bad experience with El Camino Hospital Labor and Delivery and the OBGYNs at PAMF MV. They are always late, its like a very commercial setup with little patient-doctor connection. So I switched to Dr Aung for the second pregnancy. It was unfortunate I had to terminate my second pregnancy due to a positive genetic screening. Dr Aung was of great support. She helps you make the right decisions. She proactively helps you with information without waiting for you to ask. She is great in handling the patient and the way she performs procedures. She always checks on her patients. I continued seeing her for my third pregnancy and she delivered my baby. She made sure to come and deliver me on time after finishing up all her day work at the office. When she came to see me at the hospital, she told me all the things I can ask for to take home that would make recovery faster. She is very friendly, prompt in replying to emails. The only reason I switched was because I wanted to deliver at Stanford instead of Good Sam because I work at Stanford. Dr. Aung is phenomenal. I am 34 weeks pregnant and switched to the Portolla Valley office when I was told my doctor in the Palo Alto office would be on medical leave for the rest of the year. Dr. Aung came highly recommended and now I can see why. After our first meeting, during which she made my husband and me feel completely at ease, she actually called me because she was reviewing my medical information and wanted to follow up on some things with some tests. At the Palo Alto office, the nurse or the secretary always called on behalf of the doctors, but Dr. Aung called me herself and expressed an interest in my safety and in the safety of my child. I love Dr. Aung. I started seeing her when I was about four to five months pregnant with my second little girl. She is very caring an answered all of my questions. I just gave birth and she was amazing. She checked on me to see how I was doing and eve delivered my baby. When I told her that I wanted a weekend induction because of my husbands very busy schedule she did her best to get it for me. I just had my first baby and my husband and I couldn't be happier that we chose dr Aung as our ob/gyn . After a lot of research and reading reviews I finally decided to give dr Aung a call for an appointment at the beginning of my pregnancy. From the first appointment onwards she was simply phenomenal! She spend 30 mins with us at our first visit, answering all our doubts and giving us good tips to have a healthy pregnancy. Every appointment with her was just great. She always has a positive outlook and gives a lot of confidence. Dr Aung is so accurate with her information. It shows she's well versed with her knowledge. She gave me good tips every time I had a discomfort with my pregnancy. When I went in for my delivery, she made sure she checked in on me ,even though she came in for another surgery. Just seeing her in my labor room gave me a great level of confidence! Although eventually I had to have an emergency csection cause my baby's heartbeat was dropping. She assured me everything was going to be fine right before the surgery too. Even after my delivery she checked on me constantly. My husband and I are so happy with this doctor! My experience with this doctor was not what I expected. I try to give most the benefit of the doubt. I've had some medical concerns come up, and when I've reached out to her, I get 2-3 word response with no further suggestions, she tends to be judgmental (both in person and over email), defensive and she basically found some of my "odd" medical issues funny and or strange. Dr. Aung is really awesome. I was seeing her during my pregnancy and she always gave me all the necessary information and explained everything. At PAMF women usually deliver with the doctor which is on call in the hospital not with the doctor they've been seeing. Dr. Aung wasn't on call the day I delivered. But she came to the hospital after her working hours at clinic to deliver my baby. It wasn't the easiest labor on earth and Dr. Aung knew I wanted to deliver as natural as possible. So she did everything the best way for me and for my baby. And she stayed with me during the whole pushing stage and really helped the baby to come out. I'm so grateful to her! read more
