Meaning she's more thorough. To prevent any, escalated Women's health issue. You dont really see many docs taking the extra steps or precautions to look into things thorough. Which could make a patient feel more at ease. Cause she really does care and wants to best for everyone, instead of brushing it off and not doing anything at all. I highly recommend this place for any Women, & young ones into adulthood. A place that will make you feel safe. Thank you, to her office and team!!

Since my primary Obgyn was not available, I made an appointment to see Dr.Adrouny earlier this year and specifically asked if I would be seeing the doctor. I was told yes. When I showed up (with my husband), I was seen only by the PA (not the doctor) and she was not experienced and unhelpful. She couldn't answer my questions and repeatedly kept saying "I'm not sure, I'll have to check/research." The entire appointment felt like a waste of time. This is unacceptable and it feels dishonest. I was misled, got no helpful information, and walked away with none of my concerns addressed. I will absolutely not be returning and do not recommend this practice to anyone looking for real, professional care.

BAM was the best decision I could have made for my prenatal care and delivery. Danielle delivered…read moremy baby and I will forever be grateful to her for the way she made me feel bringing my baby into the world! I did not feel comfortable with the get in get out method that a lot of traditional OBs or hospital offices have and really felt holistically cared for in this office. The midwives are connected to and well regarded by other Perinatal professionals in the community (chiropractors, Doulas, PTs). I knew I wanted a low intervention birth, and was looking for midwifery style care, but also wanted to deliver in a hospital and this was the perfect scenario. In the delivery room, I really would have trusted all four midwives and knew that they always had my well-being in mind.

My experience with BAM was overwhelmingly positive. I say with true conviction that I don't believe…read moreI would have received better care, inclusive of my birthing experience anywhere else in the Bay Area. I am a first time mom, healthy overall physically/mentally, and was seeking a low intervention and unmedicated birth. I started my pregnancy with a well regarded OB in Palo Alto. During my time there I hadn't even met my doctor and was not given more than 5 minutes per appointment. It was impersonal and not a fit, so I decided to change practices and make the long drive (I live in Redwood City) to BAM. My first appointment with BAM was night and day and continued that way through my entire pregnancy. Every midwife is professional, knowledgable, and kind. They all care deeply for their patients and take as much time as needed to discuss questions or concerns. After each appointment I'd receive notes with follow ups, and if I ever had any additional questions I could easily message them and they'd reply so quickly. I felt secure and supported leading up to my delivery. If there was ever a decision to be made, (ex. vaccines, GBS treatment, due date) the options were discussed in an evidence-based conversation without judgment and completely empowering me to make the decision - I was NEVER pushed into any medical intervention. In fact, when I had concerns over something, Lin called me on her day off to help. This is what I mean by exceptional support and care. During my delivery in Feb 2023, I was supported by Lin, Danielle, and my doula Tara Gomez. I had a long and challenging labor but ultimately was able to deliver my baby girl safely, without an epidural. I owe this completely to the care and support I was given. I am convinced, had I given birth with a traditional OB, I would have experienced many more interventions and would not have been able to deliver naturally. The entire experience was incredibly empowering! Lin is the best of the best in this field, being a midwife for over 40 years and delivering over 7,000 babies. I am just one of those numbers, but I will never forget the level of expertise she brought to my baby's birth. Regardless of where I live in the Bay Area, I plan to come back to BAM for any future pregnancy. I cannot recommend this practice more and I am SO grateful for these midwives and this practice. I trust them wholeheartedly and wish more women could have this type of prenatal/delivery experience!

BUT, she caused horrible DAMAGES during the surgery. It took more than 10 months, 5 procedures, 1 surgery and a 6 figures medical bill ($X00,000), just to TRY TO FIX the damages she caused (this doesn't include the cost of her initial surgery). The doctor who repaired the initial surgery said he cannot be sure it was successful and I need to be monitored for AT LEAST a few years, before we can know. After the surgery, within a few days I developed a fever and intense abdominal pain and was hospitalized. I stayed in the hospital for almost a week and she couldn't find out the problem. I was discharged after the fever was gone. A week or so later, new symptoms appeared and I was at hospital again, and found out she caused horrible damages. a) During the surgery she damaged one organ and even tried to fix the problem herself, despite it not being her specialty. b) In order to save another one of my organs, I needed an immediate procedure. I had to repeat this procedure 4 more times before I could get the corrective surgery and a total of 3 specialists had to be involved. Had Dr. Mary Kilkenny consulted another doctor earlier, I was told that the problem could've been identified and possible saved me from the 2nd surgery. Within 7 months of her causing the damages which were not yet fixed, she did NOT even call me to see how I was doing. Later, I called her and asked her what had happened during the surgery. During that call, she even said "I thought the problem was already solved". What kind of doctor causes damages, and just expect other doctors to clean up her mess, and does not even follow up to make sure the patient is recovered from her damages?

She always has my best interests at heart. I can always message her with questions and get a timely response. Since I'm getting older, she recommended I get my hormone levels checked, which I thought was a great idea. I've noticed changes in the past year and I'm not sure if it's due to peri menopause. The hormone levels will help determine if what I am experiencing is truly peri menopause. Dr. Aung is an excellent gynecologist and I trust her. She has excellent bedside manners and is so kind and empathetic. She includes me in the decision making and listens to my concerns. I appreciate that she is thorough with her assessments and makes me feel comfortable and at ease during my exams. I love the new office location at the Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical location on Samaritan Drive. I can get my lab work done there as well as imaging and even vaccinations.
