I showed up to the shop after it had closed on a Saturday afternoon, but he was still there and let me in anyway. They also typically do not do embroidery for a one unit order, but he made the exception, which was really wonderful of him as I needed my medical school white coat embroidered and there aren't many places for embroidery in Marin County. A special gift for someone who was moving away - what to get in a hurry? A sweatshirt with a special message. Can that even be done? Erwin wasn't there but one of his workers, Jeremiah, was. He sat with me and helped design the lettering and placement on the back of one of their sweatshirts. I ordered it on Tuesday and requested it by Thursday at 11:00a.m.. Love working with Edwin and the crew. We were getting just a small order done for a special church project. Obviously, being a church and non-profit we didn't have a ton of money to allocate. Edwin worked with flexible with us to let us get the project done in a way that made financial sense for both Diaz Screenprinting and us. A business doesn't have to do that so you know we'll be back again because... It was an embroidery job in a small area and it couldn't have shown up better. Doing embroidery in a small area makes it difficult to see the details particularly on the fleece pull overs we were doing. You could even see the dot on the "i." The recepients were blown away and so was everybody who saw it. On a final note, I left my credit card at the place by accident and they called and texted me within minutes to let me know, opened the place up during their lunch break (when they're normally closed) just to get it back to me. I mean c'mon, that's service! They could've been spending the Good Lord's money the whole time! Or maybe the realized there wasn't a lot of it and figured why bother.
