So this updated review dates back to 2021 when I bought my bike from here...... My experience with them has gotten progressively worse. The good - Terry was amazing during the purchase of my bike. He was attentive, answered all of my questions, and didn't try to push me into a sale. He followed up every step of the way and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The only part that surprised me about buying the bike is that Dick Scott's wont throw any extras into a purchase. No jacket, no free first service, no gloves, no bartering. I got a freebie leftover T-shirt from their last "swap your swag", a couple of coozies, and a 25% off coupon for my first service that I had to negotiate for! For comparison, I'm considering trading my bike in for something bigger. My new dealer is willing to give me $2500 over bluebook and throw in a free $500 sissybar!! The bad - where to start? I've had an issue every time I've brought my bike in for service except for the last time. Refusing to honor IMC issued coupons, trying to charge me to diagnose a check engine light on a bike with 500 miles that they just did the break in service on, not reflashing my bike with the stage 1 tune after they had to reflash my ECU to clear the check engine light, and the list goes on and on. I decided to part ways with Freedom Powersports for my 5k service and went to a different dealership. The difference was night and day! The other dealership is very customer oriented - help yourself coffee, water/pop fridge, and snacks, the owner is constantly on the floor shooting the breeze with customers, and riders go there just to hang out! The icing on the cake is that during my 5k service the, new dealership found an issue with my forks. I asked them to check them out because they were clunking pretty bad and extremely harsh. Dick Scott's "fixed" that same issue last April per an Indian service bulletin. Come to find out, Dick Scott's installed the parts wrong and now my fork seals are leaking. The whole job needs to be redone and one of the fork tubes might need to be replaced due to the mess up. Luckily the service bulletin will still cover the parts and labor for the redo. My advice is to stay clear of here. I honestly wish I'd done more research before buying my bike from here. It really is a shame because they're relatively close to my house, but I'd rather ride twice as far for the better experience from my new dealership. Update: The last time I had my bike there in April, they did the kickstand recall and installed my stage 1 air intake. I now have a rattle coming from the intake - something obviously wasn't tightened correctly. On a side note, if you don't ask for your stock parts back, they keep them and list them on eBay. Interesting that they raised their labor price and profit again off of your old parts without compensating you for them. read more

PRICE GOUGING!! I needed the bead set on my tire. (Basically air up a new tire that i just installed) I was told the best they could do is a 1/2 hr labor charge. $72. Are you kidding me?...$72? Drove it to Rosenau Power sports and they did it for $18. Nobody wants to pay to air up a tire, but why would you charge 4 times the price? i was happy when they just opened up around the corner from my house but i will never go there again. And certainly not recommend them. You guys aren't gonna last in my neighborhood if you don't stop gouging people. read more

I have bought a 2013 Harley Davidson here and when I did they told me that I would be able to get 10% off parts, accessories and apparel. Two weeks later I went in to get a new air filter for my bike and was told that I could NOT get the 10% off parts. I don't understand but when you tell somebody something one day you don't change the deal at all. I recently bought a indian chieftain from a different dealer, at first I was sceptical on what I have done but now I am glad I have bought it from a different dealer. At least this other dealer I have been dealing with has been up front with me since I got my new Indian, Don't know what lies I would have gotten from Dick Scott Powersports. It has been my experience that Jeff and his staff have gone out of their way to make sure my concerns were addressed and satisfied. I have bought two motorcycles from Dick Scotts Freedom Powersports. My first purchase was in 2016, a Chieftain. The second, a used Vintage Indian a year ago. Jeff has improved the service staff in the time since my first purchase. I was impressed with the new mechanics as I discussed having a major upgrade done by the service department. I would not hesitate having work performed by the new mechanics. Nick the service manager and Bobby in parts have been a very good addition to the staff. It can't be easy building a staff of service and sales people that everyone will appreciate. Mistakes will be made, but the improvements I have witnessed are all positive and will bring me back for sales and service. read more

I personally have not had good experiences here. On my first visit I wanted to get some pricing about having a couple parts put on my 2006 Vegas. I was told that it would be at least a month before anything could be done right off the bat. I understand that as sometimes you get backed up and it was explained that they we hiring new or another mechanic. After a couple months i inquired again and got about the same story but his time a quote was also given. I had a set of tires and handle bars mounted on a triple tree that i wanted installed. I was quoted almost $700. At that point I was approached by one of the sales people who stated they would be interested in buying the bike based on the description I gave. when I returned a couple days later for him to check it out he stated that they just bought one like it and didn't want to make anymore purchases. I work close by so i figured I would give them one more chance to get my business. I rode up and inquired about some saddle bags or some alternative to be able to carry some cargo. The bike has Kingpin fenders and black out pipes that are usually found on a Hammer. for these reasons it gets a little tricky to find hard bags that will work. the only statement I made was that I couldn't afford $500 or $600 dollars and needed to find an economical solution. The gentleman at the parts counter wouldn't even bother to come look a the bike, all he did was take my name and number and told me he would get back to me on what he found. i called back a week later and left a message but never heard back. My experience leads my to believe they are not interested in helping you unless they fell like you are going to spend a lot of money. read more

I ordered a t-shirt and beanie for my father for Father's Day through the Victory website and the order was passed to Dick Scott for fulfillment. I received notice that the product was shipped and apparently signed for by someone; however, the items were NOT received. I called Dawn at Dick Scott in order to get the matter resolved. After several months of repeated calls I was told that because a signature (which we all know is just a scribble on an electronic pad that is illegible) was given that there is nothing they can do because the product is considered delivered. I assure you it was NOT delivered. I will not buy here again. read more

I bought my 2013 Cross Country Tour at this facility. The salesman Terry was great! i cannot say enough good things about him. Very professional. After putting 10K miles on the bike, i noticed a slight hum when i leaned to the right. Decided i needed new tires. Called the service department and asked for a qoute for new tires and installation. It was stated $535 for the tires, $755 total for installation. I went online and found the tires for $381 with a $50 rebate. Took the tires and wheels off myself and had the tires high speed balanced for $63. A savings of approx. $350. I did the work myself and wanted the dealership to do the 10K inspection and verify my work. Took my bike in on a Monday and asked the service manager Brett, if it could be done by Thursday. He said that it would not be an issue. i called on Wednesday and asked if everything was on schedule. he stated "yep, should be done." Not hearing from Brett by Thursday afternoon, I called and he said that he may be able to get to it but was "slammed with a bunch of new bikes coming in" and could not get to "my" bike. I addressed this with Jeff Scott. I told Jeff that i felt that the new customers (bikes coming in) were more important than the old customers because of the new bikes arriving took priority over what was promised. My experience is the service is not there..... beware! The best i got was.... "I'm sorry." I love my bike though.... : ) read more

Excellent powersports company! Very knowledgeable employees, respectful friendly staff, and absolutely seem to be intent on matching a customer to the right vehicle, rather than just trying to make a quick sale. I bought a 2012 Yamaha V-Star 950 from them, clean and clear title, low mileage, condition was essentially new, excellent price, turned out to be the perfect bike. I couldnt have been more pleased with their level of customer service, responsiveness, speed in getting the bike registered for me and getting the plate in. They were honest about the pros and cons of the two bikes I was thinking about, and steered me towards the less expensive, but better overall purchase. I cant say enough about how good my experience with Dick Scott Freedom Powersports (specifically Terry and Steve - which is who helped me during my initial visit) was. I returned a few weeks later to buy riding gloves, and will definitely be back for any gear purchases or for my next bike purchase!
