From the VP Troy to our project manager Nick, everyone was a sweetheart and very easy to work with. Even all the subcontractors were just the nicest guys. The crews often arrived early in the AM and I am not a morning person, but I felt comfortable and safe with them all in the house, even when I was getting ready. We chose Renewal for our kitchen remodel because they found future problems that no one else noticed when we were interviewing other companies. As a result, we ended up with minimal unexpected add on costs (phew!). The project involved completely remodeling our kitchen in our 1926 home including tearing down a wall, adding in an island, putting in a brand new kitchen which we expanded into a side room, and new lighting and paint throughout our first floor. We could not be happier with the results. Everything looks beautiful and is well made and sturdy. Though the design part was challenging (I recommend you come in knowing what you want, unlike we did), the construction portion was wonderful. We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen and with the work Remodel did. We would definitely consider using them again. Please trust the reviews elsewhere as they are inaccurate on this site. It was a basic quote with very little description or breakdown of services and costs. I received a more thorough report from Washington Energy. So, I called and asked for a better understanding of how they got to the final number. I asked if I could do the job in two phases with the exterior windows and doors being the most important thing to take care of first. What did I get in return you ask? I got a shotty, whiny, unprofessional explanation NOT APOLOGY LEFT ON MY VOICEMAIL that stated this work was not worth their time and they were passing on the job. Let me tell you everyone was friendly and got along great. It was only when I asked how they got to $130,000.00 quote and wanted more explanation did they turn me away. I would RUN and look the other way. Don't let pretty photos and and fake personas make you think you're getting great service. I highly suspect their numbers don't match their quotes. The remodel replaced the floor with vinyl tile, replaced the tub surround tiles with vinyl sheets and replaced the vanity, counter mirror, tub, lights and all fixtures. The finished bathroom looks great with no issues. The fixtures, vanity and surfaces chosen by the Lux design crew look great. The installer did a great job, was very courteous and did the job with minimal disruption.

I was sold: "Based on what I gathered from you and your home, I imagine the design of your space would fall somewhere in the realm of warm contemporary, comfy, understated but a touch swanky, masculine, PNW natural / rustic. Neutral and subdued colors, varied natural textures, layered and homey, soulful. Furnished with timeless and quality elements that could work in future homes too." Gwen has executed on the vision perfectly all the while taking my feedback and taste into consideration. Gwen selected furniture, carpets, lighting, art, plants, and décor for my office, living room, bonus room, master bedroom, kitchen, outdoor patio, and hallways. She helped me accessorize my kitchen with all new cookware, knives, silverware, gadgets, etc. Saying that Gwen selected all of these items does not do justice to her work. The pieces selected were of the highest quality. Quality observable to the eye and to the touch. Most the pieces selected are themselves a work of art that give me joy just to look at daily. Some of the pieces were custom made to be the perfect fit for the space. Gwen found the craftspeople and helped design these custom pieces. Gwen was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. She did all the coordination of ordering and deliveries. Gwen found electricians to install the lighting and spent all day here making sure that a custom light fixture was installed. Her punctuality is something that I must comment on because when she told me that she would be at my house at a certain time I could set my watch to her arrival. I sincerely appreciated this punctuality because I believe it speaks volumes to how she cares about her clients and her craft. All of this work and sourcing was during COVID shutdowns when lead times on furniture exploded which made the project more difficult. All of the accounting and billing was online and easily accessible. In summary, Gwen designed the spaces in my home in a way that bring a smile to my face ever day. I reached out to Michael and he was very responsive, he visited the site and quickly shared the updated plans for resubmission to the city. He also closely worked with me and GC to answer further queries from the inspector. Overall, I had great experience with Michael. He is professional, shared his quote upfront and honored it, was very collaborative, responsive and has attention to detail.
