I ordered…read moreparts for my vehicle to be shipped from Michigan to east coast, and the shipping has been extremely delayed due to mistakes and miscommunications at this business. First, it was very difficult for me to receive a tracking number after I had purchased my Parts. Employee's informed me they would call me back with updates on the shipping, but I had to reach out half a dozen times to receive any update whatsoever. I was often told that 'The computer was frozen', amongst other excuses, including an employee not knowing how to attach a PDF of my receipt to an email, and me having to guide them through the process. I did not receive any shipping information for over two weeks after I placed the order and payed nearly $1000 to this business. Then, after my item was finally delivered to the drop off point, Michigan Auto Recyclers had made a mistake on the paperwork and the drop off location was unable to properly process the package, delaying the whole experience by 3 or 4 days. Dealing with this business was a huge ordeal and I can not say I would reccomened them. I'm sure some customers have had positive experiences, and they are an honest business that means well, but the level of incompetence was completely unreasonable in this instance. I have no expectations at this point, but from a customer perspective I would hope Michigan Auto Recyclers would be willing to make things right with a partial shipping cost reimbursement for having to spend a considerable amount of unnecessary time and energy to deal with the incompetence of this transaction.

My truck had a…read moresevere burning odor issue, so I scheduled an appointment and dropped it off for diagnosis and repair. After having to call them near the end of the day for an update (they didn't reach out), they informed me that my vehicle needed a $3,700 repair. I approved the work and waited nearly a week for completion. Upon pickup, the same burning odor persisted in the cab. I had to return the truck and leave it again. Their response? The first expensive repair wasn't actually the problem, and I needed an additional $1,100 worth of work - with no guarantee this would resolve the issue. Needing my vehicle for work, I reluctantly approved this second repair. When my husband went to pick up the truck after this second round of repairs, it wouldn't even start and had engine warning lights on. Their response was dismissive despite the fact I'd just spent nearly $5,000 and my truck still wasn't operational. Their solution was simply that they 'needed to diagnose the problem some more.' At this point, I've paid thousands for incomplete repairs, lost valuable time without my vehicle, and received poor communication throughout the process. I expect a repair facility to properly diagnose issues before charging for unnecessary repairs and to deliver a working vehicle when promised."

    WARNING: Bait and switch tactics/ Unnecessary Credit Pull!…read more Do not let this dealership run your credit until you see the vehicle keys in person. I contacted them about a specific truck. They confirmed the truck was available so I gave permission for them to run my credit to be approved for financing based off of their word that the truck was available. The very next day (within 17 hours) we were suppose to test drive the vehicle and I get a call from our salesman saying the vehicle had sold. I called the general manager of the dealership that the truck was at, he claims the truck had been "pending sale for 2 weeks!". My salesman's told me the truck was sold the night before and driven off the lot; the GM tells me it's still there pending sale... They claim they will work with me now that I have a hard hit on my credit and an open approval through a lending service in their system. After many back and fourth conversations with the GM who was supposedly going to figure out a fix to this never did. They didn't want to budge on any pricing on other potential vehicles they had in our price range to fit our approval rates.. The GM also gave me false information about my approval and how it was only approved through them and I couldn't take my approval elsewhere without getting another hard credit hit on my credit. This was in fact wrong... It has been 10 days since I was told the truck was sold however the truck is still listed on their website as available.. This makes me believe they use bait vehicles to harvest your personal data and credit profiles and to put you in a situation where you scramble to act fast in purchasing a vehicle only through them.. Be advised and shop elsewhere. - I took my business elsewhere and explained the situation to a different dealership. They did not have to do a hard credit hit (like Richardsons GM told me they would) and I used the same approval that was open through the same lending services with a different dealership. This new dealership gave me my rates to the truck I was interested in. Reassured me that since I was approved that the keys to that vehicle will be put aside specifically for me and no one else. I went down the very next day and test drove and bought the truck. No nonsense and informed salesman and financial manager! Richardson dealership lacks exactly that. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH vehicle availability and definitely not with financial questions.
