Ordered a two meat chopped brisket dinner tonight. When I got home more than half the meat was a slab of mostly fat un-chopped. I drove back to the store and asked to speak to the manage. The staff said they could not find him but he should be back soon. I'm not sure if he was hiding of stepped out, About five minutes later he came out of the bathroom. I showed him the disgusting piece of fat / grizzle. The piece of grizzle was uncut or sliced and was about four inches long and two inches wide. I asked for a refund and he said no. I said it looked like the scraps that get thrown away and he said it was mine and I was not getting a refund. Our talked got heated and I left without a refund. I've been a Dickey's customer for years and have been to this one more than fifty times. I've always thought the food and service were at acceptable levels and enjoyed being a customer. My first complaint EVER i was treated unprofessional and not given an acceptable outcome to some food that was obviously a mistake. read more

We stop by most of our visits to the area. We've been eating at various Dickey's locations all over for years. This location is pretty good. It's clean, quick and the workers are friendly enough. I always get the brisket. Sometimes it's super fatty, other times it's better. Always has a nice dark char, which I love. The French fries and okra are really good. Bread is good. Baked beans are a pass for me. read more

Pulled pork was well cooked and tasty. The BBQ sauce was tangy and a bit spicy. Not bad. I should have picked a more flavorful sauce but that's on me. BBQ beans were baked beans from a can. Little disappointed. I normally get awesome beans from barbecue places and these were ok but they could and should do better. Fries were a bit soggy and undercooked. They didn't include ketchup nor did I see where you could ask for it. The gallon of iced tea was hot and not the store brand I paid for. So, have to chuck it in the freezer to have it chill down. I tasted it and it seemed ok but not what I paid for. All in all the food was ok especially the pulled pork. Don't know that I will order from here again as being in NC there are a lot of better choices read more

Decided we would try again and at this rate not sure how much longer this place will survive. Let me start by saying we were looking for some where different for barbecue so we ended up here big mistake. There wasn't ten people in the restaurant on a Friday should of been my first sign but decided to order, We ordered a brisket plate (one meat) with potato casserole and a 3 meat plate rib, brisket and barbecue plate with Mac and cheese and chili. After waiting over a half hour (she did apologize for the wait) the food was awful we dumped most of it in the trash it was awful.... I have been to a lot of Dickeys around the country and they are usually great. I can not recommend this one. They barely talk to you and the food taste like it's been sitting around. The worst part about it is that the had a huge price hike and gives you half portions. I do mean really small portions. Don't waste your time or money at this place. read more

I order a catering job from Dickeys for 75 people on 28 May for a 5 June party. Although it was to late for them to deliver I set up a pickup time of noon on the 5th of June. I arrived at 1156 on the 5th and they were packing it all up and I was loaded and driving away at 1203. It was perfect. The food was still hot when I set it up for lunch at 1245. Everything was in the order and tasted great. Thank you for the catering job. This was my 5th time having this party catered by Dickeys and the 1st time that I had to pick it up. Another guy is standing there doing other things while the line backs up ignoring everyone. I finally ask him why no one is taking our order and he replies with a snarky tone "we're doing catering." If you want to have stomach pain, the urge to puke, by all means eat here. That's how I feel right now. We're in the middle of a road trip and I'm so nauseous and in such pain, having had to stop and buy Pepto to ease the upset. First they wrap all meat in plastic and put it in a heater, don't they know that it leaches the plastic chemicals into the meat? Then they take a big jug of liquified margarine and slop that on the bread, put some fatty, nasty meat on there and charge too much for crap that physically will make you ill. Excellent place for BBQ. The entire place was clean. The staff was patient and friendly once we decided what we wanted. The food was served promptly. Everything was served hot (pulled pork, chopped brisket, polish sausage, Mac & cheese and loaded baked potato casserole was delicious. Well I have stopped a couple of times and never been to impressive but was just in the mood and pick and pig to far away . Saw brisket tacos and they said no shells till Monday. Yesterday Dickeys catered our NC 7 on 7 event. And they fed so many kids their delicious slow cooked bbq and mac n cheese. Their bbq had chunks of slow cooked pork not the typical stringy stuff. They fixed us a hospitality table and their ribs and smoked sausage was to be celebrated. The sausage seemed to have sizeable peppercorns and cheese. The ribs were cooked to perfection and that sauce was great. I wasnt really into the mac and cheese, but being outside in 100 degree weather. I couldnt ask for better. read more

My sons and I have eaten here many times. Food can be great, if it's warm. Our experience is that some items will be warm while others are not. I love the baked potato dish..and fries. Nothing to really write home about. Farrrr too overpriced for the small portions they give you. They also will buckle and dime you to death over small things such as rolls. We had Dickey's cater our group function last Friday night. They did a great job! The food arrived hot and the delivery person set everything up for us perfectly. We had had issues with Dickey's catering a couple of years ago so we had stopped using them, but I think this Dickey's is under new management, so if you haven't used them for awhile, give it a shot. I have eaten in this restaurant for YEARS without issue. Suddenly, post remodel, apparently under new management (they have a bunch of new staff faces at the meat service counter) I CANNOT (now in three tries) get PULLED pork barbeque despite PULLED pork barbeque being the only style of pork shoulder offered on the menu. Each time, while giving SPECIFIC instructions to leave the meat as intact as possible, I have received CHOPPED barbeque even though neither CHOPPED barbeque, nor SHREDDED barbeque is on any menu in the joint. If I wanted chopped barbeque I would go to Smithfield's or Stubb's (I NEVER go to Smithfields or Stubbs). But further completing the personal insult they deleted the vinegar style barbeque sauce--what it'd kill you to keep out a squeeze bottle or two of vinegar sauce? Years of my patronage will be lost to inattention to detail and an inability to follow instructions. My loss, but I have a STRICT three strikes policy.
