I brought my daughter here shortly after she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I told the ER that my daughter had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease by a doctor in Escanaba. I had blood tests to prove that my daughter had Lyme Disease and that we were waiting for a referral for Motts Pediatric Hospital in Ann Arbor. The doctor told me that "University of Michigan will do nothing for your daughter" I looked that man square in the face and said, "You aren't from around here, are you?" The doctor ignored the evidence that my daughter had Lyme Disease and sent a report to CPS stating that there was nothing wrong with my daughter despite the fact that my daughter was diagnosed with Lyme Disease by a BLOOD TEST. The people of Dickinson County deserve to have a good ER department with doctors who actually have more than one brain cell. Furthermore, Marshfield Dickinson Hospital should be doing research on ways to identify and treat Lyme Disease because we have a lot of deer and a lot of Lyme Disease. The sad thing is most of the time the doctors in Dickinson County miss Lyme Disease and have no idea how to treat it! read more

i Went into the emergency area For anxiety. I seen a doctor that was a little rough at first but eventually got me in the right direction which I am thankful for. The nurse was wonderful and they all got me the help I needed. read more

unfortunately i'm a frequent flyer here if i ever have an issue that urgent care can't take care of this is usually where i usually come and i have to say that the staff here is just incredible when it comes to emergency care these guys are on top of it i give this place ten stars they are the best read more

Come here and hope for the best. I love coming to the UP, but drive fast and far away if sick. After visit to doctor with 70 year old Mom in afternoon with severe cough, sore throat, and nasal infection, they diagnosed with severe sinus infection. We were told to take affrin and Robitussin and go back to doctor if not better in two weeks. We needed to go back at 12:30 am with cough much worse. We were told first diagnosis was correct and Robitussin is the strongest cough medicine available. We were the diagnosis with flu so they offered Tamaflu, but said they would not recommend any antibiotics for flu or cough. Left the hospital with paperwork which added bronchitis and paper that said antibiotics are usually not needed, unless there is a sinus infection. read more

My daughter gave birth in this hospital and it was the worst experience ever. The ob unit was dirty and the entire unit smelled like it hadnt been cleaned in years. (Like rotting blood and dirty vaginas) As they cleaned the room after the delivery they wiped everything down with bed bath wipes, not sanitizing wipes.(explanes the smell) The staff was rude and no one washed their hands, not even the doctors, even after he broke her water and amniotic fluid gushed up his arm to his elbow. He just wiped it dry with paper towel and left the room. No one knocked before entering. They left the door open for all to see when they walked my daughter to the bathroom after delivering. During delivery my daughter screamed she was ripping and the doctor lied to her and told her she wasnt, when she did) The baby had several periods of deceleration during labor once completely flatlining and the nurse didnt pay attention, until I had my daughter roll to her other side. (I knew to do this because I am a nurse in southern Michigan) She wasnt allowed to get up and walk during labor, was kept in bed prolonging her labor. My daughter now has an infection. (5 days after delivery) They discharged my daughter and granddaughter while my granddaughter was jaundiced. We took her to OSF in Escanaba where her pediatrician had her admitted and put on a biliblanket and bilibed to bring her counts back to a safe level. I wouldnt recommend this hospital to anyone ever! read more

so disappointed AGAIN. they are supposed to be helping people but they don't care. we went into the emergency room and they refused us. there's a law that says they have to take all patients who walk into an emergency room. they said we would have to wait for 4 ambulances. came in for a burn in the mouth and ended up walking out. don't go here! we came here in the past several times, not wanting to drive too far. last time they didn't even let us speak to a doctor! they didn't show us the xrays they took for an ankle and STILL billed us FOR NOTHING! the time before that they told us the exact thing they told the person next to us VERBATIM!!! they're giving false diagnosis's!!! they literally do not care about anyone who walks in through the door. we are just a money symbol to them. read more
