Called into Dick's because I needed a temporary dumpster on a project I was working on out in Lakeside. I use this type of service quite a bit, but I have to say, Dick's Disposal Services has been by far the best I've ever used. I spoke to Marshal on the phone, and he was polite, easy to speak with, and understood what I needed. I'm tired of always having to deal with all the big companies. It was nice to be able to finally use a mom and pop type shop for my dumpster services for once. Dick's Disposal must be the last mom and pop shop still in the disposal service business in San Diego. I have had Dicks disposal for around 2 years now. Dennis the driver is always sweet and on time. They never have a problem if my dumpster is to full. I would recommend them to any one. The BEST! I live in Lakeside and these guys are family owned and ran. Marshal is very professional and feels like a neighbor helping you out. These guys deserve all the Lakeside business. If you need trash service, pick ups or dumpsters these are the guys. I honestly can't say enough good things about this company. We are cancelling our WASTEMANAGEMENT service because they don't want to actually work. They want to sit in their trucks, drops trash ALL over the street and not take your cans if the lid doesn't full close... They don't like to get dirty as...waste management and they leave waste behind. DICKS works, they serve their customers and don't leave crap behind on the ground nor over charge you for service. There are different trash companies that service my neighborhood (annoyingly) but I was lucky enough to continue service from the prior owners of my home with Dick's. They don't care what I put on the curb, how it is packaged, or whether the lid to the can will closed. After having to cut things to size, not being able to overfill cans, or being able to get oversized items picked up without some hassle with WM of El Cajon at my old house in Santee, Dick's is great. That being said, the owner is hard of hearing so if you call you've got to speak up. read more

We love this trash service! They even came up and got our trash cans one week when we forgot to put the trash out! They don't quibble about what we want picked up(Waste Management wouldn't touch anything extra! They would take the time to write a note that they weren't allowed to exit their trucks, then they would exit their truck just to put the note on our trash can!) we had notes almost weekly! After we cancelled WM, we noticed a note on their trash can that they had used the wrong can for their yard waste and they wouldn't pick it up! So, for the gist of this, switch to Dick's! read more

The Sons have pretty well taken over the business from the Owner over the years - but again, you just aren't going to beat Dick's Disposal Service - they are as reliable as can be and relatively inexpensive over other such area services.
