I was very disappointed to learn that Dick's Sporting Goods no longer offers a military discount at the Brick, NJ location. As a veteran family, we always appreciated the gesture--not because it was a huge savings, but because it showed support and appreciation for those who have served our country. I was surprised to learn that military discounts were apparently offered at the discretion of individual store managers rather than as a company-wide policy. If that's the case, then shame on the Brick, NJ store for choosing to discontinue this benefit. Our veterans and active-duty service members sacrifice their time, miss important moments with their families, and put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we all enjoy. A small discount is a simple way to acknowledge and thank them for their service. While every business has the right to set its own policies, I believe supporting military members and veterans should be a priority. It's disappointing to see that recognition taken away. read more

This is not a review on the total store because the total store is overpriced. This is a review on just the employees one in particular a felon named Tommy in the sneaker department really goes out out of his way and treats the customer as well not a high-pressure sales just a good helpful guy. Since when did dicks stop given out the youth football discount??!??!?!? My son has played on the golden Eagels in Bayville since he was 5... every year I come to dicks to get new cleats, practice pants, cups, mouth guards, occasional a new duffle bag to keep helmet and shoulder pads in, undershirts, water bottles, etc... Every year I mention the football league and they give me a discount, until I went in Monday night 7/29/24. The floor assistance wasn't too bad I did manage to find someone to help me w cleats and a dressing room but when I asked where a product is they had no idea or pointed me in a different direction. Which isn't a big deal but I left never finding football socks there was a small wall of soccer socks but no football anyways.. I begin to check out and while I'm checking out I asked the woman at the register if she can't give me the youth football discount, she immediately tells me no because they only give out physical coupons now without it she has nothing to scan... so I said ok hold on let me call the league because this has never happened before... they never give us in person coupons.. the person I got ahold of said they requested a discount code a few days before that Microsoft crash and that affected dicks so there still waiting for a response but even they told me just tell her the name of the team which I did this woman just had a nasty attitude.. I don't get it it's not coming out of your pay check I know they have scannable coupons at the register I've seen them beep them before. It's shame she's not willing to help a single mom buying my kid football stuff.. it gets worse tho she tells me my total.... 500$ what the hell... so I start looking over everything I got items were coming up more money on their computer system then I says on the tags! I had to physically show her the duffle bag was 79.99 it came up 89.99 it wasn't on sale the original price was 79.99, then other things were way off too I got him 2 mouth guards a nice one that was 20$ and a thinner cheaper one that was 11$ except the 11$ one came up 26!!! You would think after almost over charging me had I just swiped my card she would give me a discount.. nope she just said she didn't look at the tag prices she just scanned them and left them at the price they came up... so she fixed it and put the correct price in but that was so annoying I told her I'm holding onto the receipt so I can get a price adjustment once I get my discount code. But she told me it won't matter because their coupons are only good on the weekends and i came in on Monday so it wont count... this lady is a complete bitch for no reason. they deserve their low rating. I've never been scammed by a store before. purchased clothing paid with After Pay nothing fit , poor quality returned in store to be told I could only receive a Dicks afterpair gift card in other words you're stuck with a credit. I purchased on line and do not buy anything that is final sale or at any stores that only give credits. Dicks sporting goods store policy says if you pay by Afterpay you will receive a refund not a damn gift card. the inept manager at Brick NJ location their new system doesn't give refunds well that's not my problem that Dicis new computer system is not set up correctly speaks volumes to their reputation. I'm filing a complaint with the BbB and advising After Pay of Dicks policy I'm sure they will be interessted in knowing this since it also affects how they are viewed with dissatisfied customers read more

The sales service in the Brick store is absolutely horrible. I mentioning this because the people on the floor are not helpful at all and some have big attitudes. Someone who has arrogance and sales should not be a part of that team. The cashiers seem very adequate but the people on the sales floor have attitudes and it was difficult to want to purchase anything from this store read more

what can i say. it's dicks sporting goods. they are very well known and the staff is usually very nice and friendly and knowledgeable about their department. the only problem at this particular location is i seem to never be able to find goalie gear for lacrosse or staff near any of the lacrosse things. if you go an hour ish before close the staff is rushed you a ton to leave. but i get it they want to go home after working a long shift. read more

Now I know why they call it DICK'S. The Hunting Department thought they were doing me a favor by being there. No courtesy and a lot of attitude. Limited knowledge to boot. I declined to make a charitable donation on my credit card when swiped. The cashier voluntarily said he could override my decision. I'm old enough to know what donations I want to make. Just left the store really annoyed. I needed 3 golf clubs re-gripped. When I approached the counter before I even said anything I got " It's gonna take a day or two." My replay was " That's not a problem." Then I got a heavy breath as he started looking for something. At that point I said never mind I'll go somewhere else. Learn how to treat customers. Went in looking for some new fishing gear. Wow do they carry a huge selection. Found everything I needed, well, except the fish... Rods, reals, lures , tackle boxes, waders. I spent a good amount of time going through all the gear. The store was clean and staff were helpful. Prices were decent and items easy to find. Thumbs up Dick's! read more

Randy at Dicks sporting goods is putting the "dick" in dicks. I found a product I wanted to purchase. However I noticed that the box had been opened and that parts (that were listed on the box) were missing. Randy told me that he had "never seen that part before so it wasn't missing". Despite what the box said. I asked him if there was a way to purchase the product at a discount since the part was missing. He was very salty and said no. I asked to speak to someone who could actually help me, since this guy wouldn't know customer service if it was fucking him in the ass, and he finally radioed some other ass fucker in the store for them to offer me $8 off an expensive product.
