If you are going on a party boat you can grab some extra rigs and weights, if you fishing near the marina or surf fishing they have all the live and frozen bait + lures you will need. They even have rods and reels for sale. Best part is they have boats to rent that you can take around in the Shark River. They are small (16ft) and have like a 9 HP engine but get the job done to cruise around the river and do some fishing. Bring your patience if you are heading in there before the party boats head out (early morning) (2:30 pm) because it will be crowded in there but they move the line quickly.

Went crabbing today in Bay Head and stopped here to buy a crab trap. They had a bunch of traps…read morestacked outside and I only bought one to see if it was worth it. The crabbing wasn't that great today but the box crab trap was a good one and I will definitely stop back my next trip to pick up another. Trap was good for either chicken or bunker. At $15 the price was right too........ While i didn't go shopping for anything else they seemed to have everything you would need for fishing or crabbing for sale inside. The woman at the register was friendly and polite. Maybe next time I could actually catch something more than a sunburn.

I was asked to pick up a reel by my son. The store was a little hard to find but when I did it was…read morea great experience. I was met by a young lady at the counter. I gave her the receipt that I was given and she stated I will be right back. She returned a short time later with the reel. She stated there was a charge for the service. I was informed by my son the reel was under warranty. She checked with someone else at the shop and came back to me and explained they deal with the reel company often and stated she will take care of the paper work for the warranty and explained that I could take the reel and not be bothered coming back. I thanked her and left. The young lady went out of her way to help me as she took her time to do so. Although I can no longer fish because of an injury I will recommend every one I know to shop at the Reel Seat. Joe T.
