I had a horrible experience with this store with customer service. A specific team member named Joe was very rude and aggressive about me trying to use a discount. I called in after to talk to a manager about Joe yelling at me and he was zero help. I called to talk to Joe and then he hung up the phone on me. Joe's own coworker agreed it was very aggressive, and nothing was done about it. He yelled at my girlfriend and was overall very rude. No one should have to go through this, and I will not be going to this store again. read more

I needed a swimsuit for an indoor pool and finding my current one unwearable, this was literally the only store in the area that carried them since it was not in season. Sometimes we cannot wait for shipping. They had a decent selection but helpful staff and short lines. It was more than I usually spend, but it's really good quality, and they were there when I needed them. Plus there is a big parking lot. read more

They seem to always have gear, for a price. But NOTHING else! Cleats are never to be found, 110 pairs on the wall but no matter the day, month, season they never have my size for the entire family! Been this way last 4 years or so now. I was there today, and wanted to try a pair of running shoes. I waited while the sales people hung out, one even yawning. No one even tried to come over to try to help me. My husband has experience the same. These people need to be taught what their job is as sales people. read more

Good customer service is getting harder to find, sometimes you come across people who are helpful, friendly, personable and knowledgeable, but you won't find that here. I asked a very easy question about an item in the display case, the young woman was nice enough, but couldn't answer the question. She asked a man who was working with another customer and he kind of snapped the answer at her. She told me if I go around to the counter and he would be right with me. I understand he was helping others and wasn't expecting immediate help, but an acknowledgment that I was there would be nice. The cashier was helpful and friendly, the man was neither. I have been golfing for a while. The set of irons I currently own were great when I was younger although I was never properly fitted for them. Anyhow......I decided it was time to upgrade my clubs. Cost was a factor so if I was going to spend the money I wanted to be fitted for the right clubs. I wasn't sure if I should go to a pro shop at a local golf course or go to a chain such as Dicks. Went here to buy a hiking shirt and hat, turns out...according to Dick's, women don't really hike. Not impresses. The men's section had shirts and hats, but I'd rather women's cuts and sizes. Too bad I'm on a work trip and this was one of the only places around, otherwise I'd just go to REI for my gear. Heading to Field and Stream next (Dick's subsidiary), hopefully they have a better selection for women. read more

Recently opened in Capital City Mall where originally Sears was. Huge store, very nicely organized and carry variety of sports things. Had to get help from their associate in locating stuff - had to wait 5-10 minutes before someone arrived. Went to their shoe section- the associate was knowledgeable and promptly offered to order online and get it delivered to home since my size wasn't available in store. Saw their athletic apparel section - did not end up buying anything but they had many brands for comparison. Have been to their Mechanicsburg store many time before and have always been satisfied with the purchase there. Will definitely return here next time for the variety they have. read more

Purchased a Nishiki bike for my son several months ago along with the protection plan. The bike is total junk and I've had to constantly fix things. The derailer broke and brakes were acting up so I decided to put the "protection plan" into play. Not worth it. Bike is still there after 3 weeks and not fixed. Every time I call to check, after getting put on hold/passed around, I'm told the part is ordered and not in. I'd recommend avoid purchasing a bike and/or protection plan from this location. read more

Shopping for shoes here is an awful experience. There's no system to get shoes to try on. If you're lucky somebody will ask if they can help you. Most of the time people line up at the door to the back area and compete to get the attention of a staff member. The most aggressive customers get served first. read more

Ordered a basketball hoop online to pick up. When went to pick up, waited a long time and associate did not provide great customer service. Next day set up the hoop. Later in the week got a flyer and realized we had been given a cheaper hoop than what we requested. Smaller backboard and less nice hitch. Talked to customer service multiple times. They offered to give us the correct one but we had to take down the current one. The hoop is pounded very tightly together and full of sand so that is not an option. In the end they refunded an additional $50 despite there being a $100 difference. Will not shop here again. read more
