It's not what it used to be. Do they have just about everything for hunting and outdoor excursions? Yes! Yet having gone here this past weekend, I didn't see as many supplies as I used to. Prices are up as well. Both could be supply and inflation related, but was caught off guard. As for the store, it is still clean and well organized. It's quite easy to get to from the interstate. I'm from California and visiting my son and his family for Thanksgiving. My son and I decided to go target shooting and decided on Sportsman's Warehouse. The staff was very friendly and willing to help us with our needs. They also sent us through a gun safety course that I was very glad of. It only took a couple of minutes. The gun safety course was very good and informative and also allowed my son and I to shoot. I also rented a S&W 9mm. It's definitely not my Colt 1911 ACP. Don't shop here!!!!! They sent me an email for a Smoker for $89.00. I went to their site and ordered it. They took my credit card information and confirmed order with an email. The status on the order showed waiting on shipment. I stopped by the store and talked to customer service and they assured me it was coming. 4 days later I got an email and they cancelled my order because they had a large demand and bla bla bla....... They chose to put their profitability above honoring a sale price they emailed to me, I accepted, they took my money and they confirmed my order. They sold me a used and damaged rifle as new. During COVID, we bought a rifle from this location and had to go thru the whole rigamarole of waiting in your car to be allowed in. to p/u your. order, etc, which didn't let you look at what you were buying in the. store. Only grab it and go. It didn't occur to me that I would ever be sold a used gun as new so I didn't open it up in the car to check whether I was scammed or not. We drove two hours home and then I took it out of the box to see it had been an "inspected return." there were two DEEP gouges in the stock, each about 4" long. It had also been fired, quite a bit. I understand returns, but this gun was not just a return, it was a damaged return that. was sold to me as NEW with the NEW price. I contacted the store via phone. and email and was told repeatedly someone. would get back to me. Nobody ever did. IF you buy from. this location, look. at the item they give you before paying. I would never trust them again - there is no way anyone taking. this as a return could notice the damage to the stock. read more

I've never been to Sportsman's Warehouse but I will go out on a limb and say you would be better off driving from the East Coast to Utah to actually go to the store than order something on line from Sportsman's Warehouse and have it shipped. It has been 8 days since I ordered a Teton XXL cot and it is currently in a delay status via UPS. Lord knows when it will actually get here. The days of the Pony Express are long gone! I know that their response would be it is the fault of UPS, frankly I don't care. I have ordered products from CHINA and gotten them faster. Perhaps I should have ordered this from CHINA because that is where they are made. I am an avid camper/kayaker/hunter and adventurer. I live in the hinterlands of Northern Michigan. There are few choices when it comes to brick and mortar sporting goods stores here meaning, I do have extensive experience ordering my gear on-line. This is my first experience with Sportsman's Warehouse and likely my last as there are far too many choices when shopping on the internet. So consider this when considering them. Sportsman's Warehouse should treat EVERY customer as if it was the first time ordering from them. I guess I should blame myself after looking at the reviews here on Yelp. This visit was a complete bust. I came here because initially I went to Dick's Sporting Goods (F&S is one of their subsidiaries) looking for women's hiking shirt and hats and couldn't find any there. Dick's employees told me to check F&S because they had a much better selection. Not true. I spent almost an hour combing through the store only to find two styles of women's hiking shirts. TWO!! And, get this, when I asked an employee at F&S where their women's hiking shirts were, I was told they don't have a big selection and that I should go to Dick's because they have a much better selection! I tried to return a few small non-restricted gun-related items to the Lemoyne store and was initially told to bring them in and then later was told they could not take them back since they might not fit in the store. I emailed corporate and was told that it was up to the store. These items are still unopened. From what I can tell, these were shipped from various SW sites, and there is no centralized warehouse to accept returns. I buy a lot of sporting-goods, this was the first from SW (and the last). I never have had a return issue! So make sure you really want it before you buy on line and get the return policy first. read more

If you aren't willing to wait 2-4 hours before even being waited on then make sure you don't have anything planned for that day.. with that said we left and came back hoping it was less busy. Before we came back, we called to ask about the line and got Betty on the phone. She was not helpful as being a customer service representative and wouldn't even answer a simple question without a snarky laugh. Sounds like a Karen. What a beautiful, spanking-new store! I have been wanting to get to Field & Stream for months now since it opened. This past weekend I finally got the chance when my daughter and I went-out to run some errands have a little fun. Store: This place is freakin' huge. Has, literally, everything you could possibly need if you are an outdoor enthusiast. I have tried my hand at a lot of outdoor activities from hiking, to tenting/camping, to hunting, fishing, and beyond. I love these type of stores. Prior to this moment, I had only been awed by Bass Pros. Not even Gander Mountain has ever really wowed me like a Bass Pro. Not even a Cabela's has ever really wowed me like a Bass Pro. Field and Stream did. The store is vast. It makes you feel small - but in a good way. With zounds of products lining several departments, this place is legit. From the selection, to the cleanliness, to overall store layout, and even the premium services (archery range, etc.); this place is awesome. If you are an outdoors enthusiast, think you might want to be someday, or just want to walk around a cool store - this place is it. Store: 5 / 5 Service: I was greeted upon entry, but that is where the service started and stopped. Ironically, the same person did not offer me and my daughter a parting 'good bye', but I don't need one every time I leave a store. The store was relatively empty, but the workers were far more concerned with their daily processes and tasks than they were with me or my daughter. I was just browsing, and would have indicated as such had I been approached; but that never came. Glad I didn't need help because I would have been frustrated by their lack of urgency or care that I was in their store. As such, this category borders on a two for me, but I am going to round to a 3 only because I didn't experience 'bad' service. More like 'non-existent' service. Which, in itself, might be just as bad? You decide... Service: 3 / 5 Price: The prices here were very lofty. Some things that I saw in store I could easily finds a comparable product to on Amazon, or other online outfitter - and for a much better price. This store is selling you an experience + products. It is a 'wow' store; but with an unenthusiastic customer service/sales team, it is going to be hard for you to beat simply shopping on a computer at home. Again, this borders on a 2 for me, but since I am not familiar with their ads or sales, I cannot definitively say that they are so much more overpriced than the competition. As such, they met expectation here. Price: 3 / 5 Final Thoughts: This store is beautiful and has all the bell and whistles that a new store should - especially one trying to compete with a giant competitor such as Bass Pro. That said, this was all substance over actual practice. The service was lackadaisical-at-best, and uninspired-at-worst. Couple that with prices that seemed to be a little inflated, and I don't necessarily think that I would return. If you are looking for a fun way to kill sometime and just want to check out a store, this is a good bet. Outside of that, I can't say much else. Fanstastic alternative to Bass pro shop. Though not as impressive and grandiose, it's an awesome, well stocked store. I love going to grand openings because they spend the whole week hosting all sorts of events! They are offering free shirts, posters and raffles so far! Sweet. Customer service at the "gun counter" is terrible. I understand you have to take a number but what good is it when you have four guys working behind the counter and only two are actually doing anything? One guy sitting there drinking his coca cola and texting on his phone, another guy watching the other guy work.... you got 8 customers waiting. I stood there for 45 minutes waiting to buy an optic. Tried to get help and was told i have to wait, while the two employees stood there doing nothing. Finally got the attention of one guy who was like "oh yeah thats all you wanted here ya go". And handed me the optic to take up to the front to pay. I asked why if you arent buying a gun do you have to wait 45 minutes and i got back some half assed condesending answer. Last time i ever shop there. Place just sucks. Staff attitude is horrible. If you want a job where you get paid to not help customers apply there! read more

They have quite an online presence. They advertise stuff way below anyone else, but when you go to order it, the hassles begin. Unlike every other dealer in the country, they won't just ship a gun to my local dealer. No, they say they have to "vet" this dealer, then they refuse to ship to them. In the end, they wouldn't sell the gun they had advertised for the price they had advertised. Don't waste your time with their bait and switch games. read more

Worst customer service. Building had no air conditioner and it's almost 80 degrees out, lighting is so dim. I was the third person in line at the regular with 1 cashier working while 3 workers were just wasting time talking to their friends. 45 minutes later and the 1 cashier is also just talking to their friends in line holding everyone up. If I could give them no stars I would. I purchased a firearm from them because it was a great price. Not only did I drive 2 hours to pick it up, I waited over an hour to be helped JUST FOR A PICK UP! (Which they were aware of what I came for and the timing) It gets better... Great selection and variety. The merchandise here is unbelievable. Went here today to get hiking shoes and Max in that department helped us out so patiently. Was very knowledgeable and ended up getting the right kind. Very helpful and friendly staff. They were having a lucky draw at 05:00 for a free gun and were also offering some free stuff to all participants. The store wasn't crowded on a weekend though there was some wait at the checkout counter with only 2 registers open. Overall, a satisfactory experience - will be back for more. read more

Was referred over here by an employee at a different gun shop for a turkey gun. When I arrived at the gun counter there were two employees that completely ignored me at first. After trying to ask questions I got terrible short answers and no real information. The employee couldn't even give recommendations let alone look at me when he talked. Mind you there was no one else at the gun counter. It was terrible customer service at the end of the day. I will not refer anyone here and send them to Trop Gun or Bass Pro Shops where the employees actually care and treat you well. read more

I will never give them my business again. I ordered a rifle that I've had my eye on but couldn't find in stock anywhere. I am from NJ and the store is in PA. Their website said this store would get a shipment in a little over a month, so I ordered it. They collected my payment immediately and without question. I waited 2 months for it to arrive in the store. I got an email saying it was ready to be picked up. I even called to confirm that the rifle was there and that I could come the next day to come pick it up, and an associate told me that it was and I could. But after I drove 2 hours to get there, and waited for a half hour in line to be served, I come to have the gun desk clerk tell me that they can't give me my firearm because I am from out of state. Strange, because it is 100% legal so long as it is a long gun that is legal in your state (which this one was). This was despite the fact that their own website encourages you to buy your firearm and have it shipped to a store within driving distance. It even says that long guns can be purchased from out of state. I asked why I couldn't take home my purchase, and at first he said it was the law. When I informed him that there is no law prohibiting it and that I've had several friends purchase rifles and shotguns from out of state, he said it was store policy. Then why was my order accepted and why was I told to come pick it up? Total incompetence and lack of clear information. Steer clear and buy your firearm from a dealer who knows what they are doing. read more

Have shopped here a number of times. Selection is good and for me it is a good alternative to Bass Pro Shoppes ( who I find kind of "snooty") and Cabellas ( who I find too touristy) . In my and my wife's time shopping here have the found the staff helpful , found items in the fly tying area that I have not seen in the other stores and the prices are good. The store wasn't bad nice selection of gear, and goods for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. The only issues that I had was buying a new pistol. The gun counter was relatively empty with maybe seven people looking, and three people behind the counter. The salesmen behind the counter seemed new to selling firearms, and the processes that I assume Field and Stream requires when selling a firearm is slow. I filled out the form 4473, and the Pennsylvania application of sale correctly within about ten minutes. The first indication that the sales associate was new was the small heckling that I received for filling out the form so fast. I politely informed them that I am a fast reader, and have filled out many of these forms before. The associate then proceeded to fill out the FFL information on the forms during which I was asked about the specs of the firearm that need to be filled in on the application when the firearm is sitting right beside them. Once that process was completed the waiting game started. After about 45 minutes of the associate typing on a computer a manager came back to review both papers for accuracy. Ten minutes later the call to PICS was placed to run my background check this took about four minutes. A final check was done on the paperwork that took about ten more minutes, and I was ready to go so we walk up to the front I pay for my pistol they walk me out of the store. I take possession of my pistol and drivers licensee then proceed to leave. The experience from start to finish took about a hour and forty minutes during which you can't leave the counter or you have to start over again, and your ID is left sitting on your paperwork. I have purchased many handguns, and long guns before. The time I spent waiting here was the longest I have ever experienced, and while I don't fault them for making sure the forms are filled out correctly as the BATFE can hit the company with hefty fines the process needs to be stream lined. The advice I have to anyone who is thinking of buying a firearm at this store is come prepared to wait, and look around the store before you head over to the counter if you need anything else. I would also say that if the counter is busy you might want to come back at a later time, because the entire time I was at the counter only one other person purchased a firearm. I will give them three stars with this being the first week the store is open, but the processes or training of the associates needs to be improved or I would avoid buying a firearm here around Christmas time as you could wait a very long time. read more
