Stopped into DICK'S Sporting Goods/House of Sport to look for a special gift for a friend's birthday. We were amazed by the clean, spacious, and thoughtful design of the store. However, this is more than a retail store! It offers merchandise for every sport, and there was an exercise class in session, along with several sets of parents watching their children climb the rock wall that's conveniently situated in the center of the building. Wow! My first thought was, I need to tell my niece about this rock wall opportunity for her adventurous kids! There's a cost for the climb, but a quick glance at the pricing seemed reasonable. Here's a fun place to shop and spend time exploring for the whole family. The staff was very friendly in directing us and our cashier, Curtis was helpful, too. We will definitely add DICK's House of Sport to our list when we need any sporting goods and gifts! The quality and the variety are a great deal. read more

Ok, this is the only Store you need to get exactly what you're looking for. It's Awesome! They have a climbing wall. Area designated for cleats. I went out of state and tried online to no avail. I'm a Soccer freak! My daughter wanted the new Adidas 26 Firm ground Elite Predators. This place had various sizes, F50 Speed boots if that's your thing! You get what you pay for. I paid for quality and this establishment delivered 100%. Great value for all products! This is the only spot I will ever get sports gears. Jah is the Best! This is the best sporting goods store in the 757! We went to get soccer cleats for my daughter and with kids shoe sizes are always a hurdle. I just went to Dick's for workout clothes and Yeti products . They had lots of choices and colors. I love how organized this store is. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a really nice variety of yoga clothes. Calia and Nike had some really nice sets. I was eyeing the Yeti backpack but just got what I needed which were freezer packs. I use Yeti freezer packs daily and highly recommend them . It's a really cool store ! read more

7/9/2026. I have had surgery on my foot and my PA recommended certain shoes to wear for recovery. The young man, named Bryon, was amazing. He saw what was recommended and got right to work. Asked my size and brought several pairs out. I am an older woman and was expecting old lady shoes. Not so. He brought out stylish shoes and what my PA suggested. My husband took me to this location and I couldn't believe how big it is. They have everything and everything is organized nicely. They even have a rock wall and batting cages for some family or party fun. The staff that we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. We went to look for pickle ball shoes, and I loved how the sport shoes were separated by sport and labeled nicely. I not only found a pair, which is not easy to find ones that specifically say pickle ball, but they were also on sale. And then, even cheaper once we got to the register and checked out. Great store! I came here with shoes for my family in mind. I was very impressed with the customer service I received when looking for shoes for my 11 year old. It was pretty tricky because he is dead in the center between youth and mens. He must have tried on 5-6 pairs of shoes and they were patient the whole way through. I was trying to purchase some new shoes for hubby but after finding three pairs they did not have his size for any of them. No worries. My son wanted to climb the rock wall but no one was around. I didn't realize it was $10 so we will save that for next time. They have everything you could possibly need for any sport. I will definitely be back! read more

Although this is very far from where we live, this new Dicks is MASSIVE! It has everything you could want when it comes to outdoors, sports, recreation, etc. I love the golf area and all it offers to get your game right. My brother is a fisherman and I showed him a picture of all the aisles they had designated to that... he showed up the next day! I wish they could change all of the Dicks to the "House of Sports" because most places are dying. This is exactly what we need however being so far away, that unfortunately won't allow for us to visit often. Lynnhaven is the closest Dicks but the House of Sports is on a whole different level. If you can make it out there, definitely get your eyes on this massive but cool Dicks store. read more

I called this location several times to make sure my online order was ready. The first time I was placed on "hold" for twenty minutes before someone picked up and immediately hung up the phone. I went to buy a nice pair of athletic shoes for my boyfriend for his birthday. I walked thru the store to the back where shoes are located. I was not once welcomed by anyone. When I got back to the athletic show area I stood around near the Hoka'a for at least 5 minutes. Several staff members walked by me and never greeted me or asked if I needed any help. I finally made eye contact with a young lady. I asked her if she could assist me. I basically told her what I was looking for. She took me to the shoes and provided some information. I picked out a pair of shoes. She said they would be out in a minute. About 10 minutes later my shoes were delivered to her at the entrance to the back area. She brought the box to me and that was basically it. I believe she is just shy. I went up front and found the checkout area. The young man who called me over was very personable and nice. His service is the only reason I gave them a 3. Otherwise I would have given them 1 or 2 stars. I probably won't return. read more

This Dick's location is pretty decent. Customer service is first rate with friendly helpful staff. They always seem to know where the item I ask about is located and it's always easy to find someone if you need help or have a question. Prices are competitive, the store is clean, spacious and organized well with ample quantities of inventory across their product lines. I really appreciate that product prices are clearly marked. They offer online shopping and have a rewards program to add a little value to your Dick's experience. The store is located in the up and coming North Battlefield corridor of the Greenbrier West area of Chesapeake. Dick's was among the first stores to open in this new area of development which is still seeing a lot of construction. There is plenty of available parking in the large private lot shared with several attached retail stores. The lot is always clean and free of debris. Entering and exiting the lot is very convenient with multiple points of ingress and egress. This Dick's Sporting Goods store provides an overall pleasant shopping experience. It's one of my first stops when I am need of athletic gear or apparel, sporting goods or accessories, etc... I love that I can look up Dick's inventory online and see what locations have a particular item in stock. read more

I am very disappointed with the online ordering. I ordered football cleats for my son which he needed soon! The order arrived only to be the wrong item! I received an article of clothing! I reach out to customer service through the chat option. The agent's name was Sharlyn. We were messaging back and forth, and it was slow in response to resolve my issue on the agent's end. When we were finally getting to a resolution the chat disappeared! We had been messaging for over an hour. I'm very disappointed that I was sent the wrong item and the transaction to fix the problem was not resolved. read more

They may have good sales on kayaks, but don't try to buy shoes. If you're going to have a shoe section the size of a football field, you may want to better staff it. I spoke with one person (won't call them a salesperson because they weren't trying to make a sale) and asked for two pairs of shoes. I was handed two boxes and they were gone before I had them open. When I did open them, one was the wrong pair. The next person got me the correct pair, but disappeared before I could ask anything further. Not sure why because the only customers were in my area. It's spacious and all the items are organized for easy shopping experience. They have a huge selection of sneakers. There's a few clearance racks throughout the store as well. I had a rotten experience here on my last visit. It pains me to write this review after having a couple of stellar experiences here, especially when the store first opened however my latest visit sucked. I was there to buy a pair of cross fit shoes. I already knew what I wanted and when I reached the shoe dept I picked up the shoe I needed, a New Balance, and took it one of the 3 employees hanging out in the dept, a tall skinny guy with tattoo sleeves on both arms. He went to the back and came out with 2 boxes, neither which was the size I needed. I did give one pair a try and they were to small, and the other pair was obviously to large. At that point he said that was all they had and asked if I wanted to try the Nike's. No thank's I said, I wanted the New Balance. I was headed out to Virginia Beach and was going to ask him if he could check inventory and I would be happy to stop by and get them at one of the locations at Pembroke or Lynnhaven. However he disappeared and never came back. I waited about 10 minutes looking around and waiting for him or the other 2 employees that were hanging out there when I arrived. No sign of the guy or the others. I left... BTW I ended up at Kohl's which is in sight right across the interstate from DICKS and found the shoes I was looking for there. You guys lost a sale. Will probably be a while before I shop here again. read more

First time at this location which is connected to the Field & Stream store. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted by an associate who asked if there was anything we needed help finding. We were looking for running gear and he pointed us in the right direction. Found what we were looking for and more. We were able to use our digital coupon at the register with no issues. The gentlemen ringing us up were great! I noticed one had "track & field" listed as his passion on his nametag so I asked him what kind of shoe he recommended for the sport. We chatted for a while and I could definitely tell he was indeed passionate about it. He gave my teenager some great advice in the sport and we walked away with a very positive overall experience. The only negative thing I want to mention is there is no attendant at the dressing room. Even after pressing the "call button" and waiting several minutes, no one came. I had to flag down an associate in the shoe department to help us. Other than that...we liked this location and would return. read more

Right when the store opened some sales associates were putting displays outside. NONE of them greeted us or asked us if we needed help. Then we walk in the store, same thing, the employees look as us and then play on their phone and continue gossiping with one another. We couldn't find what we wanted, and 3 min after arriving, we walked out. The same associates outside saw us leave ... never said a word. Absolutely terrible CS. read more

Thoroughly impressed with this staff. I was greeted by EVERY employee I passed and purchasing was seamless. They were a big help finding running shoes for a VERY picky customer. This location in particular will always get my business because as soon as I asked am employee if he'd "seen a little girl" before I could say anything more employees were scrambling and doors were locked to find my daughter. She was with her father BUT they took every precaution to find my child. Amazing work ladies and gentlemen knowing that you take safety so seriously is very impressive. read more

This place is an athletes paradise. The store was neat bright and clean, I had no trouble finding what I needed. I was searching for a Nike hoodie for my mom. I ended up wish-listing a kids bike and a trampoline... I can never stay on task in big stores , there was too much exploring !The staff was very helpful someone was literally around every corner. I found out if you sign up for the free rewards card you get $10 off for every 300 points you earn which is pretty cool. They will also send you coupons if you give your email. If you have a girl who plays softball don't waste your time at Dicks. We had a big tournament and our daughter needed new cleats. Dicks didn't have even one pair of metal cleats. Not one pair! Second day of the tournament and she tears her pants and we are in Dicks again since it's close and of course we struck out again. They had a total of six pair of girls white pants and only two sizes. Probably 10 racks of boys pants to one rack of girls. What a joke. Won't bother going to this store again regardless of what I'm looking for in the future. read more

The Home Depot of sporting goods stores. Bought two pairs of boys' shoes here, with minimal help from the employee. Child 1 wore his shoes inside around our house for maybe 10 minutes before deciding they rubbed on his ankle. Cleaned any dust off the bottom, brought back, and we are told they won't accept them as a return. $51 down the drain. read more

I had a great experience here over the weekend. I have wanted to get into archery for years. Dick's seemed like the logical first step. My best friend and I decided to head in to browse. The moment I started looking I was approached for assistance. Both customers and sales reps were readily answering my questions. After I picked out a perfect purple bow, they proceeded to adjust it so that it was the perfect fit for me. There is a small shooting range in the store, so I was able to get a first-hand feel of my new bow. After that, the sales agent helped me pick out arrows. They cut those as well to fit me. I left with everything that I needed to begin shooting. I was not expecting people to be that friendly and informative. They had every opportunity to rip me off and didn't. I was sold a moderately priced bow, on sale arrows and cheap gear. I was also pointed in the direction of local ranges. These guys were amazing and I will not hesitate to return. read more

I was looking for 2 GCI Outdoor Quik E Seats. I went to Town Center Va Beach, they did not have them so I checked online. The Chesapeake Store said they had some, so I went there. What a mistake. First I couldn't find anyone to wait on me, I finally got a young man to help me, he couldn't find them, and told me the online status is not always correct. Finally he offered to order them for me. I had a $10.00 off coupon I wanted to use, but you had to buy in store. He got help to get me a coupon I could use. During the ordering process the computer froze, he couldn't find anyone to help. He finally backed out of the system and started over. Finally we got the order placed for the 2 items. As I was driving home, I noticed that he had one coming to my residence and the other being shipped to the store. I immediately called customer service, the said they couldn't help me. Once I got home, I called the customer service again and found that someone had canceled one of the chairs. Customer service is working with me to reorder the chair that was canceled, and have it shipped to my home. What should have been very simple, was a 2 hour event and awful. With todays technology, I find it hard to believe that they can't check current stock levels and know whether they had the chairs. I'll never go back to Dicks!!! read more
