Came in here the other day to kill some time before my lash appointment around the corner. Walked in and was welcomed by two gentlemen walking by. Everything was arranged into name brand categories and one side was men's and the other was women's. Found an under armor quarter zip on sale that was a good price and really cute, as well as a new yeti tumbler for work. I shopped for a good 30 minutes before checking out. Overall, it was a pleasant and peaceful shopping experience. I'm sure I'll stop in before my next lash appointment. read more

Courtney was super rude. Do not recommend having her as a floor representative, as she was not friendly, welcoming, or what I would want someone as to represent a brand. The cashier was only nice because I was an 18-year member with Dicks, so I would strongly recommend to review both of their interactions with customers and inform them what proper etiquette is. Courtney told me at 8:50 that the store closes at 9, which I'm aware and was out of the store by 8:59. She needs strong training and possibly to not be in this role or other customer facing roles. She would do well hiding behind a computer screen. read more

I love coming here but it's like any time of day you visit no one is ever in the golfing section and it's agitating. I like to test clubs before purchasing to ensure fitment is perfect for me. I really appreciate the golf selection here. I know they own the Golf Galaxy stores as well but this is closer to my house. The department lead, Scott, is extremely helpful. The biggest thing that impressed me was his patience with the buying process. He actually encouraged me to bring in my existing clubs and determine if they might still be a good fit. Sadly, I agree with this two star rating. When I was a kid, this was my favorite sporting goods store. The quantity of items has gone way down. There is never anything here that I am looking for anymore. I guess Academy has truly surpassed dicks. Sometimes the field and stream in Proper is fun to go to, but here and the frisco mall has been horrible. Even more so, these last 5 years. read more

Bought a pair of Nike basketball shoes on dickssportinggodds.com about 4 months ago and they are now defective. Wife went on Nike.com and and was advised to return the shoes to the store that it was purchased from. My wife took them back today to the returns counter and a very unhappy employee immediately said no that the shoes could not be returned. He proceeded to tell my wife that the shoes were probably used for something else then what they were intended for and we couldn't return them. My wife told him they are used for basketball as they are basketball shoes. He refused to accept the return. He said we needed to speak with Nike. Also, he never once looked at the shoes. He only looked at the online receipt but couldn't find the order as they don't keep anything longer than 60 days. Very rude! This employee is probably the reason the store is called Dick's Sporting Goods! Never shopping here again. read more

Excellent Sporting Good Store for the whole family! They have clothes, shoes, and equipment for just about every sport or activity you can think of, indoors or outdoors. A surprisingly large selection of hunting, camping, and fishing gear...but then again we ARE in Texas. Git er dun!!! Dicks always has the latest in athletic fashions, for working out or just for casual wear. I honestly could spend a small fortune here on cute work out and athletic gear... But I don't NEED any more work out athletic clothes. Certainly not working out enough to justify it, and it's not socially acceptable to wear spandex and running shoes everyday everywhere. I push that limit enough I'm sure. The running and fashionable athletic shoe selection is impressive and they have SO many cute shoes! I seriously would buy every pair if I was filthy stinking rich. Some people like to collect Minolo Blahnik or Prada heels, I'd like to collect cute sneakers! I love pretty heels but only need a couple pairs. Anyhow, all tangents aside, I really like this store in general and this location is on par with the rest. Big, clean, well stocked, well staffed, nice location, nice building, nice shopping center, nice parking lot. It can be pricey but watch the circular in the newspaper because they run sales often and be sure to check the clearance and close out racks for the best deals! read more

With the exception of the young lady, Chelsea, at the front..:the rudeness of the staff is appalling. I had my fill back in May. They had their dressing rooms closed due to covid. I purchased a pair of shorts and went to change I. The restroom. The older manager barged in and yelled "you may not have merchandise in the restroom!" She would not leave even after I told her the shorts were paid for and they belonged to me now. She was horrible. I was so embarrassed, she treated me like a thief. . I called corporate and another manager at the store. Both said she was totally wrong. I explained I would not return until she called to apologize. Still waiting for that apology read more

Worst customer service!! About an hour before closing and my daughter and I needed a sales clerk a couple times, but couldn't find anyone...until we followed all the laughter and found a group of employees standing together horsing around. At the prices they charge, I expect far better customer service than we received. Very disappointing! read more

I like the Dick's in the Highlands better. This one is a lot smaller. Not as many things.

Its the de-facto place to start for sporting goods. Stock and selection is massive, but it often seems like what I really want isn't there.

Very expensive.... suggest going to Academy! Not only does Academy have lower prices but the overall service is much better
