Zumiez is known for skateboard and snowboard apparel, supplies and boards, et al. So, expecting them to have snowboarding pants isn't too much to ask. The website has tons more, but I can't order something like pants online without trying them on first. This being local, I went to Zumiez, and expected them to have snowboarding pants. They had 5 or maybe 6 pair, one of which I bought. All were marked down. But nothing for females, really....except the teeny Burton's that would only fit a pipe cleaner. My son asked if they had any other snowboarding supplies, and they replied that they sent them all back. WTF? That didn't go over so well. I kept my mouth shut. One of us didn't. They do have a pretty good skateboard shop, one of the few in Independence. But, heck, I'd rather Loma Vistas in Westport. I'm not happy cause this Zumiez didn't have what my son needed (they could've but didn't), and we drove all the way to Oak Park Mall. Keep that in mind before you go to this store.

At that moment we knew we weren't welcome there. My friend asked if they had any size 12 shoes and the same guy said "no" without hesitation. Very bad customer service. I have had foot surgery and bought shoes from this store, mainly because I was told I could wear…read morethem inside and return them to get my money back within a month if they didn't work for me. Well, 8 days later and after wearing them in the house for about an hour total, I went to the store to return them last night. I was told that I would not be able to return them, except for credit on future shoes. The shoes were in good condition. On the bottom of the receipt I noticed that it did state that the store can refuse a return for any reason, after the fact. But, that is not what I was told. I am not a negative person, but I don't like a store to lie and take my money. I don't want it to happen to anyone else.

So it's the beginning of Baseball season... and it's the typical rush to obtain team shirts, turn…read morethem back in to print player names, obtain extra Coach shirts and caps, etc. We put in 2 orders: #1 - Fan Spirit wear (reasonably priced. 2 different style shirts - 100% cotton or the Wicking Polyester) and the caps look retro cool too. And #2 - Player names on Jerseys which cost $5 plus tax each. Rod's had let us know that they expected our team players' names on jerseys to be ready by Thurs this week... right before the also rushed Sat Team Photos, which made me really nervous. And they let us know that they expected Spirit wear to be ready after another 2 weeks, which was a big disappointment since we needed two of those jerseys for our coaches to wear in the Team Photo THIS sat. Well, happily, we got a phone call at 1pm TODAY (Wednesday) that our orders were ready. BOTH of them ... whoo hoo! I love when a company delivers EARLY. Both orders were correct, look great and we are thrilled to have all player and coach uniforms (and parent tees) ready in plenty of time for first game and for the team photo! They knocked it out of the park. (I couldn't help myself.)

The one who spoke to me continued to tell me "I have no clue what you're talking about!" I understand they do a lot of business, but making sure I knew he doesn't give any attention to the people behind the dollars given to him left me feeling disgusted that our team had used him for our orders. After speaking with several others who have experienced his exact behavior it's a wonder they are still in business. Won't spend another dime here.
