Dick's has been a sporting goods store and located in Louisville for a long while. We've visited this location more often with my youngest son to shop for shoes. The store was full of athletic wear for all ages - men, women and children. Along the walls were sporting good items for various hobbies, including golf, kayaking, weightlifting, yoga, baseball, soccer, basketball and more. Service was great during checkout. Kudos to our clerk - he checked our shoe purchase and discovered we'd picked up the wrong display shoe. One size 10, another size 11! Another team member located the second size 10 and we were out the door. Rewards program offered which earns you coupons. read more

I bought a new bicycle at Dicks Sporting Goods online. The website said the store would assemble my bike for free. I called the Springhurst store and was immediately transferred to Kelso in Bikes. He made me feel comfortable about bringing the big box in and leaving it there. He came out and got the box out of my car, took my number and said it would be ready in a couple of days. Then today, the very next day!, Chris calls and says it's all done! He rolled it right to my car! These guys are great! Well-spoken, great customer service. My Experience at this Dick's was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE I was followed around the store the whole time. When I was walk towards the registers there was a older white lady team member who signaled to the manager as if they was already talking about me; I guess she didn't think I seen her but I did . This is not isn't an environment that I would like to spend my money. I never stole anything in my life and the way they treated me was as if I was a criminal... We went here last night to purchase a treadmill. Sales person was helpful and we decided which one we wanted to buy. He checked to make sure there was one in stock and we were told yes, 2 in stock. So far so good. We proceeded to the checkout and told them we were here to pay for the treadmill and he told us to pull around back for pick up. Problem begins, it was dark, no lights and none of the back of these stores are marked so we had to figure out which door...so after looking at the back of the building and counting approximately how many stores were from the end of the shopping center to Dicks, which quite frankly we had paid zero attention because we were only there to go to this store, we saw a storage unit with kayaks in it so Bingo, figured we were good. Wrong!!! We found out they didn't have the treadmill we just paid for. Really... Now we have to go back in the store and get our credit card refunded which then sends a fraud alert to the credit card company...whole other issue now but back to the issue at hand... Dick's, when someone needs to know if something is in stock your people need to physically take the little walk to the storage area to make sure it's really there rather than have the customer pay and to be told a few minutes later how sorry they are but they've been sold and no one marked it off the list.. They gave us a 20.00 gift card which was nice of them but I didn't need their "money" and it didn't make up for the BS. I called this Dick's store location before Christmas to ask if they had a particular bike that I wanted to gift my daughter. The sales associate said that they didn't have any. I ordered it online and when it arrived the bike was bent and needed to be returned for a new one. When dealing with this via phone I was told that the local Dick's should have this bike in stock. So I called Dick's AGAIN and asked if they could physically check their stock and guess what? This bike was in stock. Went to the store and traded the bike in for one that wasn't bent. It is truly a pain in the rear to deal with especially having four young children (one of which was only 3 weeks old at the time). I also had similar issues when calling in advance for UofL football jerseys for my kids. My recent experiences in their stores are no better. You can't get anyone to help adequately. Their associates point you in a general direction but truly can't be bothered. Really, Dick's? Your name suits your customer service! read more
