When the owner called me he was pompous and rude and tried to hustle me over because I am a woman. When I told him..."I know how much things should cost"...he shouted "yeah...this isn't going to work" and hung up on me. I'm never desperate enough to give my business to these kinds of people. If this is the level of customer service you receive BEFORE you spend thousands of dollars...I highly doubt they'll be rushing out to service your HVAC once they have your money in their pocket.

Also when my heat went out a couple of times (one was 10 PM) Harry or one of his men came over within a couple of hours got my heat going again and then came back during regular hours and fix the problem. When I called about a gas leak Harry came within 30 minutes to shut my gas off and got it fixed later that day. His work is excellent, he is a professional. As a result I called at least 8 companies as recommended by my friends who deserve none of the blame for this outcome. There were 4 repair people that showed up. The company that showed up first won the bid $595.00 because I did not have enough information to dispute the bill that was given to me. H & A was the first company and the invoice did not break down the parts and labor. After H & A left the other 3 companies showed up. I was apologetic for not canceling the appointments. They were all local and felt so bad that I was taken advantage of that they were not upset. They all stated that their prices would have been $225 to $315 and they were taking into consideration travel time and related expenses. I then did what I should have done in the first place and researched the parts that they replaced, which I asked them to leave (an old habit that my grandfather taught me) The part they used to replace mine retailed online anywhere between $82.49 and $125.96. That means that the blower motor that H & A had in stock in the back of their truck for just such an occasion cost me $256.26 an hour in labor to have replaced. I know Doctors that charge less. I called Harry to see if there was something that I was missing and he said that I was lucky that he didn't charge me the traveling fee??? another $89.95... He stated that he had costs that had to be accounted for such as uniforms, gas and advertising... I told him about the other prices and told him that the other contractors did not show up naked (much to my disappointment) and that they were not hauling the blower motor down the street in a shopping cart up Penn Avenue, further I said that I would help him with his advertising by posting this to my 3,000 facebook friends, Google +, Linkedin, twitter followers and Angies list of which I am a member. I had three furnaces and water heaters probably from 1980(?), which I thought I would be okay with (HA!). The gas company came to turn on services but hesitated due to the sheer age of the furnaces. I ended up paying some company to assess the viability of the furnaces (they said I was better off buying new ones). I found Kieth and his team through my property manager, who let me know they were a pleasure to work with for other clients and definitely get the job done right the first time around. During my first call with Low-Cost Heating, I had a good feeling about going with them versus the other vendor (brought to me by my contractor). The pricing, ease of payment, and service provided was superb! As I watched their teamwork through the installation, identifying problem spots, and finding the most suitable options for my newly purchased home, I knew this was a solid team and that I wanted to work with more and more in the near future. A few months later, my home was broken into and a lot of bad things happened. I found duct work falling down, water pipes missing, water heater leads cut and much more ridiculous stuff in the home. I called Low-Cost Heating and these guys were not only there for the emotional support, but also the immense amount of work that needed to be done due to the break-in. I normally do not have reviews this long, but words cannot capture how grateful I am for being introduced to these guys. They are like family now.
