I arrived for my 3 o'clock appointment with my two daughters as my husband ended up having to work and I didn't won't to bother the sitter on the weekend at such short notice. When we entered the waiting area we were the only patient with family there. Another lady had just went back as we were walking thru the door. Thank God. Being that I had my two year old and I knew she'd be hard to keep quiet or still. I always take others into consideration when I'm receiving a service or treatment and I have my kids with me. Moving on..... The beautiful young lady at the front desk, greeted me professionally, explained to me about the my forms to fill-out, gave me all my documents and later offered my two year old crayons and a coloring book. That was greatly appreciated. Now on to the best part, I finally met the person that was going to perform the breast exam. Please listen, SHE WAS AMAZING! Her expertise was one thing. On the other hand, her personality, professionalism, thoroughness, and cleanliness is something I've never seen before. Not all in one person. I work in healthcare and have been for 17 years! And that's why I'm so grateful of my experience with ELFP Imaging Center. She made me feel extremely comfortable. She answered all my questions. Her work area appears to be sterile, clean, sanitized and fully stocked. Her humor and personality is what's needed in such field of work. I remembered telling her, "your resume could have said you received your training at school of ABC 123, it would not have even mattered." "The way you interact with patients is something that could not be taught in school or books. That's a gift you're born with and SHE GOT IT! Kudos to ELFP for hiring such an amazing person. She's definitely a great addition to any team! You could not have hired a better individual for this position. She could check my breast anytime! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. On another note: I had to call regarding my results. It was one day shy of being two weeks and still no results. Anyways, I sent an electronic message via the app and a nurse did reach out to me. I've been aware of self-scheduling self-pay MRIs for a few years now, but this was the first time…read moreusing it. On the plus side, it was simple to use and easy to get a quick appointment. The scan itself produced good images and came with an accurate interpretation from a radiologist. But while I got the results that I needed, I don't think that this service is the right fit for everyone. It was super easy to schedule. They have an online scheduling form, and it was also easy to get a next day appointment (I don't think a lot of people are using the service). I paid a $50 deposit toward a $499 scan and paid the balance when I arrived. You can choose to pay an additional $100 to have an explanation attached. You get an official radiologist interpretation either way, so I assume that someone breaks down the medicalese for you. I didn't opt for that. The scan was about what I expected it to be. I do have some concerns about the MRI tech. From a customer service standpoint, she was not at all welcoming and did not introduce herself. The office was obviously set up to be customer service oriented, with a coffee bar and drink refrigerator and cups of chocolates. She didn't offer any of the amenities and even tried to hide the bowl of chocolate behind her counter. From a patient safety perspective, she also did not make any effort to go through the screening questions that determine whether it's safe for you to have the MRI or not. MRIs are safe from a radiation standpoint, but can be really dangerous because there are incredibly powerful magnets involved. In fact, there was a recent highly publicized case of someone being killed in an MRI scanner. I filled out an online questionnaire, but if I had not understood the questions, and made a mistake, she didn't make any efforts to clarify it. But she did the scan and the machine made all the expected cacophony that MRI machines make. She sent me away with a CD of the images and I had an official interpretation in my email box about four hours later. I also had my orthopedist cousin review the images and the interpretation. He felt that the images are adequate (so it's not a "stripped down" version of a real scan) and the interpretation was thorough. It did leave out a lot of the technique that I'm used to seeing (I'm also a physician, but not orthopedist), but I'm sure that most of you don't care about that anyway. So my feeling is that the walk in MRI definitely can have a useful place. If you're anxious to have an answer and it's impacting your decision-making (mine was whether I could safely continue to play soccer despite the pain), and you're willing to pay for it (in my case, if I'd waited for insurance to approve it, it'd have been next year anyway, and probably would have cost more if I hadn't met my deductible yet). As a physician, I would *not* personally recommend the total body scans that they offer for people with no symptoms of any abnormality.

The website was very clear in scheduling appointments. No surprises, no medicalese....simple and fast. They gave me the disc when I left and I got my results by around noon! I'd recommend to anyone who needs this service. To be clear, without the contrast, you may not be able to catch miniscule injuries, HOWEVER, I was super surprised that they were able to pick up mine. I feel empowered having this information. Without this....lol....I would have sworn my knee died and was taking the rest of my leg with it! Thank you First Look MRI, Chamblee....(PS. Their billing is set up to charge a facility charge when filing claims with insurance. I had a…read moremammogram there, which I was advised cost $694. They billed the insurance $94 for the mammogram but $600 for use of the facility. My insurance covers 100% of preventive, but those sneaky charges (and in my opinion a way around the set agreed amount for in-network) to actually be in the center and use the machine goes towards my deductible. I'm very upset and saddened that after 5 years of using this place I will not be going back next year ( or for any other service that requires imaging ) . The staff was amazing, but I'm sure the other mammogram centers in Gwinnett have great people too (but no hidden fees)

I am not sure what the protocol is in Georgia is, but in most other states I lived in, this is a patient right and they need to make this clear. However, I do like that the staff took this feedback seriously and seemed to take immediate action. Otherwise, the staff were overall friendly (especially the sonographers & technicians) and each test was as pleasant as it could be! Do know that while the practice sounds like it might be accomodating to Korean speaking patients, it might be more attributable for certain offices, and less likely of this Tucker office. Also, make sure also to ask for a copy of your medical records when possible, it was nearly impossible to have the records sent to our PCP. P.S. Only tip is - don't be swept up in the moment like us and forget that some of these tests could be done with your PCP, if you have an insurance plan that pays differently depending on where you have certain labs/ diagnostic testing done!

Since 2019 Dr. Dorsey and his office has been great. But, something has changed now. I have only…read morebeen able to see the PH and not Dr. Dorsey for my past 2 visits, over a year. On this last visit the end of September the PA ordered an "At home" test, which I completed a few day from my visit. Since I had not been notified of the result and nothing showed up on the portal, I started trying to find out the results over a period of weeks. Today (11/17/25) I called the number that you would call to schedule and appointment. And was able to speak with someone as no one answered the other numbers. They just went to VM. Due to the time that had past I requested a call back from Dr Dorsey, not the PA that ordered the test. I did receive a call back, but not from Dr. Dorsey. This person told me that they had not been able to get in touch with me with the results. I find that odd and do not believe this as no one including Dr. Dorsey has had any trouble reaching me since my first visits back in 2019. And the portal information is correct. I also fine it odd that on their portal website, there is nothing about the test or results like there is for other test that I have had at the office. I hate it, but due to this I'm moving on from Dr. Dorsey's office.

It was my first time meeting her. The office staff was amazing; however, Dr. Straughn was not. She was rude, crude and more. After reading reviews from other patients, Dr. Straughn's rudeness seems to be consistent. We cannot ALL be wrong... I genuinely believe that as patients, we partner with our medical professionals in the furtherance of our medical care. She showed great disdain for me asking questions. I was really concerned about the growth on my jaw given that both of my parents had cancer. When I asked if there was a possibility of the growth being cancerous, she stopped, glared at me, and stated emphatically, "either you are going to trust me or you're not." It was at that moment I decided that I would not return to her for treatment. There was no way I could partner with her in my care.
