From initial contact to the end result, every step in the process was not just completed, it was completed with efficiency and premium professionalism: I cannot say enough good about this company and its work ethic. 1) Bidding: Grant initially came out and was on time, spending as much time as needed to patiently answer questions, no pressure. The two bids he sent were reasonably priced and based on two different shingles I'd chosen. Jare sent past installation addresses so I could see how each of the shingle options would look installed, very helpful. Juli came out twice with samples (she has a good eye), and Grant even laddered up so that we could be sure of color choice. 2) Pre-work: The week before replacement started, Juli, Jare, and Grant all answered questions and concerns I had, promptly. When confirming the city permit was in place, Jare was ahead of me, had already ordered it and sent a copy. The day before work started Heber came by, introduced himself, and chatted with me about project requirements. 3) Replacement: My home is one level and they had it done in 2.5 days, including a snag. Jorge and his crew worked a long day the first day and they worked hard, every day. When Jorge brought roof decking needing replacement to my attention on day one, I feared an extended project. Nope. Jorge had already given Grant a heads-up so Grant was already pricing the extra wood and with my permission had it ordered for pickup. Heber delivered the extra decking around lunch time that same day and the crew had no project down time. Wow, Whitaker Roofing's people work together like a well oiled machine. 4) Quality Assurance: Throughout tear-down and installation Jorge addressed all of my concerns (due to the defective roof I had). Heber made sure the completed roof installation was correct, up to specification, and up to building code by doing his own inspection. The minor things found were corrected the same day. After I later had a new cooler installed on the roof Heber even came out and checked the sealant to ensure no leaking. Juli was always super prompt in answering my follow up questions too. For anyone reading this, this is what a roofing company that cares about customers looks like. 5) Warranty: I went with CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles so the manufacturer's product warranty is a good one. Above that, Whitaker Roofing included their own workmanship warranty that is the best I came across in gathering roofing company bids. And I had over a dozen roof bids. That they are a local family-run company is also a plus. 6) End Result: The new roof looks great! Neighbors have complimented on it and also said they too would hire Whitaker Roofing after seeing how efficiently they work and how attractive the new roof is. I would *highly* recommend Whitaker Roofing Services and their entire team!

Wind and hail damage, insurance claim, whole roof replacement…read more We had a great experience with 1st Priority. Our laminated comp shingle roof had wind and hail damage. We reached out to Brian Hammond with 1st Priority today. Brian is very responsive and met us in just a few hours after we talked in March 2024. Brian helped us with determining the roof had Storm damage, He advised us to pursue an insurance claim. Brian was on the Roof with his crew for over one hour with very detailed photos and markings: over 60 pieces of shingles are found and determined those shingles needed to be replaced. Since the shingles are over 25 years now since the home was built in 1999. We had filed a claim in 2022, for the wind and hail damage with my insurance company which sent out an adjuster and inspected the roof: determined less than 20 pieces of shingles needed to be replaced with less than $1000 cost for replacement the broken pieces. Since we didn't get any photos with details, so we didn't go through the repairs. Brian with his crew took a piece of shingle and cover the spot with a tarp temporarily. The piece was sent to a third party lab to test with the test results come back in April 2024 and determined the original shingles were not produced and shingles were still under the manufactory 25 years warranty and won't allow any roofer and mix other shingle types to repair our roof, then Brian opened my previous claim for us for the whole roof replacement since the claim is within 2 years time limit. We received an approval from our insurance company to pay for the whole roof replacement minus our insurance deductible in May 2024. The whole roof replacement project has completed today, 14 June 2024. Posted a few pictures: 1st and 2nd pictures is old roof pictures taken by Brian before the whole roof replacement project, but the rest pictures are new roof pictures also taken by Brian after the the whole roof replacement project. Pt2-paint,soffit, fascia, plus new siding on the east side of the house…read more I hadn't expected to do more than the roof & gutters. Got to talking about plans for the door hole patch on the east side and the need to paint and fix more things - Kris mentioned he had crews able to do all the work needed. The price he quoted was as good as the roof & gutters cost. Again the crews did beautiful work putting up the hardy board siding to cover the patch - painting and installing beautiful aluminum soffit and fascia. I can't pick my jaw up of the ground. My house is no longer the ugliest place on the street.
