After years of strong winds, the big storm back in June was the final straw for my roof. Lost too many shingles and had too many seals broken to have another "patching" done on my roof. Based on positive reviews posted by members of various local Facebook groups, I contacted Roof Doctor. Response from Chris Olsen of Roof Doctor was immediate. He came out to conduct an inspection of my roof within a day of me calling, I think he might have even come out the same day I called. Chris fully explained everything he found - and in terms a non-roofing person could understand. I provided Chris with the pertinent information about my insurance company. Chris handled EVERYTHING with my insurance company, keeping me informed throughout the entire process. During the few days Chris was out of town, he made sure there was another Roof Doctor representative available in case I had any questions. As one might expect, the insurance company needed more information from what was originally submitted and there were a few hoops that needed to be jumped through primarily due to Chris recommending a total roof replacement. I can't blame the insurance company as part of their job is to ensure repair costs are legitimate so they can keep their payout costs as low as possible. Keeping payout costs down helps the overall cost of insurance for all of their customers. Ever since moving my insurance over to AARP Hartford, I have been extremely pleased with the cost and service Hartford has provided. I started with better coverage for lower pricing on both my homeowner's and vehicle insurance than what I had with my previous insurance company. The damage to my roof needed to be repaired but the roof was still capable of protecting the house until all the paperwork could be completed and repairs made. None of these delays put my house in danger of having the roof leak. During his inspection, Chris specifically looked for any area that might leak and assured me that if we had another major windstorm before everything was approved, he would come out to inspect the roof and would secure a tarp over any problem areas. From experience, he knew that by recommending a complete roof replacement, it might take a bit longer to get the final insurance approval. Once my insurance gave their OK to proceed with the total roof replacement, Chris scheduled a crew to come out. The crew was prompt and friendly. They worked hard and completed a thorough clean up at the end of each day's work. Roof Doctor's goal was to ensure a quality repair for the lowest costs possible. Their final cost figures even came in lower than originally projected. If you need your roof repaired/replaced, you can't do any better than going with Roof Doctor.

The bathroom was down to the studs and needed plumbing and electrical upgrades along with everything else a bathroom is made up of. David showed me choices in vanity and tile and kept me up to date. Did my remodel in 3 1/2 weeks and that's with the tenant living there. IWC installed a TPO membrane roof on my apartment building in 2019 and did an excellent job at a…read morefair price. In 2020 we had facia and soffit replaced by another company which resulted in need for repair/patching of the roof. IWC evaluated the impact of the new soffit and facia on the integrity of the roof and patched the roof at a fair price, cleaned up and did the job quickly and professionally. In fall of 2021 a resident advised us of a leak in their apartment after a hard rain. I called Braden with IWC, he answered the call even though he was on vacation! He coordinated having a repairman check out the leak the next day. The second repair (see attached picture) They told me the repair was part of the warranty and there would be no charge. They took pictures and explained the reason for they leak and the repair. IWC's customer service and quality of work is excellent. The more I work with IWC the more confident I am that we picked the right company to install our roof. They are professional, responsive and care about their customers. I highly recommend IWC.

I needed larger six-inch gutters and downspouts because heavy rain can overwhelm the existing system and cause flooding at my home. Gutter Boys came out, carefully walked the property with me, understood the drainage problems, and prepared a detailed quote covering the gutters, downspouts, heat cable, valley shield, and gutter guards. Their representative was knowledgeable and confident, and their recommendations gave me a lot of confidence in the company. Their complete quote was $4,520--about $400 less than the competing $4,922 quote I had received for substantially the same scope. Based on my conversations with them, I intended to hire Gutter Boys. Unfortunately, while rushing to complete the project before surgery and the next major storm, I mistakenly approved both companies' proposals. Another contractor completed the installation the day before Gutter Boys was scheduled to arrive. Gutter Boys had already reserved the day, arranged for their six-inch gutter machine, and sent a crew to my home before I realized my mistake. They had every reason to be frustrated, but they handled the situation graciously and professionally. I offered to compensate them $250 for the lost time and scheduling disruption. We sent a few emails back and forth and even scheduled the appt through that. They were on time for the appt & worked SOOO fast!!!!! I just needed a gutter cleaning.
