This jewelry store is such a gem (no pun intended). The lady that was helping us was so sweet. She introduced us to the three little dogs that hang out in the store as her "three musketeers". They had an excellent assortment of jewelry for sale and were able to handle our requests to fix a ring and necklace with authority. I don't want to ding a small, local business too much here (hence the generous 4 star rating), but I think it's only fair that potential customers be made aware of the quality of work (or lack thereof) performed by Diju Jewelry. I dropped off my wedding band (a modern take on a traditional Indian wedding ring) to increase the size on the Friday before the Tuesday that I was supposed fly out for my wedding. I discussed with Edwin that he was to grind out the inside diameter of the ring and he said that he would do it over the weekend so I could pick it up on Monday. On Monday, I call about the ring and and an employee advised that Edwin had not touched the ring, and that he did not show up for work that day. As disappointing as that news was, I wish that is was true--instead, Edwin attempted to stretch the ring, resulting in the enamel flaking off. He then apparently tried to hide the mistake by painting over the flaked off enamel. Mistakes happen, and in retrospect, I should have confirmed that Edwin was familiar with working with enamel on jewelry (although it would not have been an issue had he resized the ring the way we had discussed). But Edwin's failure to communicate this to me, as well as his attempt to cover up his mistake--I'll never come back here, and I warn others from bringing any meaningful jewelry here for repair, especially when there's a deadline involved. Fortunately, I found a jewelry shop in Albuquerque (Silver Owl) that was able to nearly restore my ring to it's original appearance. read more

Walked into this very clean, wide open jewelry shop after seeing BEAUTIFUL mask and inviting silver earrings and rings!!! Diana welcomed us as we saw her 2 great doggies!!! She asked if there was anything we were looking for and brought out the masks for me to look through. Safe and clean container. Lots of colorful art decorated the shop and SUCH a variety of silver and gold rings, earrings, bracelets!!! Had time restraint so was unable to take my time looking but I WILL BE BACK!!!! Wow, I walked in with my prized aquamarine ring that my nana gave me which was majorly bent out of shape and with a missing diamond. I walked out with my ring looking in better shape than when I received it! Diju did an AMAZING job and the turnaround was less than 24 hours! Be aware that it's cash or venmo only, so no credit card points but with Venmo it makes doing business here a breeze (I did bring in cash but only because I actually had some on me at the time miraculously). Additionally there are two small shop dogs, it takes a few mins for them to warm up to you but they overall they're super kind and are only doing their job making sure their owners are safe I would highly recommend coming in here if your jewelry repair needs! read more

$5 for new batteries, replaced in 5-10 minutes. The manager went on and on about how great the quality of his batteries were and how mine was super cheap. Except... my watch still doesn't run properly. 4 stars because I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and blame my watch for just being faulty. read more

Fantastic local shop with good-natured owners! Now my go-to spot for inexpensive jewelry repair. I found the shop on Yelp today and called in to see how much it would cost to have my new anniversary ring re-sized. Living in SF, I was afraid the cost would be astronomical but Edwin offered to do it within the next 2 hours for a very reasonable $80. He did great work and was super quick. I'm so glad this thing is not sliding around on my hand anymore! While I waited, I handed over a necklace that needed restringing and a pair of earrings missing a stone to Diana, who I assume is the co-owner. I'm one of those people that doesn't buy jewelry but owns a few special pieces. Well the closure of a special chain broke a few months ago and I turned to Yelp to figure out where to get it repaired. The reviews are very positive for this place and I wanted to add to it! I walked in with the chain and they lady behind the counter asked how she could help me. She took it back, told me it would be $35 for a new closure, venmo'd them, and was out within 7 minutes. To boot I appreciated the straightforward honesty of Diju, the man who did the repair came out to deliver the repaired necklace to me and showed me how the old closure had broken, mostly because it wasn't real gold like the chain. For those unexpected moments I need a jewelry spot, this will be my go to. read more

First of all, the owner is so kind and warm and wonderful that I felt like I needed to buy something just because of how lovely she is! That wasn't hard to do, since she had so many beautiful pieces to sell. She showed me lots of trays of rings and helped me find more in my size. Ultimately, I went for a pair of hand beaded sunflower earrings. I get compliments on them every single time I wear them from multiple people, including strangers. Next time I visit SF, I will definitely be coming back for more! read more

Based on the reviews here I took a family heirloom in to be transformed and I am thrilled with the results. I explained to Edwin that my natural gold nugget pin had been in the family since 1900 but that I never wear it. I wanted to change it into a ring. Edwin immediately understood how it should work and in 2 weeks I started getting texts showing the design coming to life. I picked up the ring yesterday and I am SO impressed! Edwin removed the pin and prong mounted the nugget so carefully, understanding the importance of the piece and hearing my fear it might be damaged due to quartz crystals in the nugget. I fully recommend Edwin: he is a craftsman, and rightly proud if his work. read more

I came here to get my promise ring resized on a whim. We were looking for a jeweler and none of the big name stores resize jewelry unless you purchased the ring from them. We were going to go to Kay's but it was too far away. My boyfriend suggested that we try Diju because he passes it on his way to work. The owners were very friendly and they helped us right away. They sized my finger and was able to make it smaller for $75. It took less than an hour to complete, and you cannot tell where the cut was made. And they gave us a free coaster for the Holidays. It seems as if they also make custom pieces. I am not sure about it though. read more

Really happy with the service I received at Diju! I had two rings resized and they both turned out perfect. The lady who works up front is so kind and super helpful. After she measured my ring size I met Edwin who would do the ring resizing. Edwin was very friendly and got the work done fast. Apparently he makes custom rings too, so I will definitely be back one day to create a ring idea I have wanted to make for a while now. Edwin was amazing! My new fiance and I were panicking because he proposed to me the prior night....however, since it was a family heirloom, the ring didn't fit my exact ring size. So my fiance searched high and low and found this wonderful place and the wonderful guy who was willing to resize our ring THE SAME DAY (only less than a two hour wait...we went and explored the mission district while we waited). We really wanted the ring on the correct finger asap! He understood our sense of urgency! He even waited an additional hour and a half (past the time he said he would be able to do it), for me to arrive to size my finger in person, since my fiance went there alone, with only a ring size estimate and he needed me to physically be there to get the size just right so that my fiance wouldn't have to pay twice in the event it didn't quite fit the first time! Thanks for the valuable advice! He sized my ring perfectly!! He also shined it so well that I didn't recognize it as my ring! Gem of a place! Same day ring re-sizing. Friendly owners, quality work, very affordable. Only $35 for a resize. I asked Edwin to resize a Jabel ring from the 1940s. He was able to leave the maker's mark while erasing an inscription date -- all while keeping the ring perfectly round. I have tiny fingers and most places hand me back a ring with an unsightly oval. Great job on this ring! Edwin also fixed a loose diamond in my antique cocktail ring. This is a 1920s art deco piece and it's not the easiest to work on. He stopped what he was doing to make this fix and ensure I didn't lose the stone! So glad to have found Diju! read more

Supporting local spots in the Mission amid a gentrifying city is the best thing one can do. Why? Well, small business owners stay competitive, families stay housed, and mom and pop shops stimulate the local economy, but only if the community actually spends money there! I'm glad I did because the store's environment was beautiful, the energy was peaceful, and the service was A+++. So happy to have found Diju. My watch band broke early in shelter in place, and then the battery died as well. My usual jeweler is near my place of business, but not handy to home, so even after stores re-opened I wasn't sure where to go. Diju not only repaired my watch band, they did it very economically: It's an old and good watch, with the original metal band. Diju was able to replace just the broken part of the clasp, which is now good as new. Prompt and service, very nice and helpful, and very reasonable prices. I'll be back. read more

The owner is sweet and had my watch's battery changed in a few minutes while I strolled through the shop looking over the jewelry gorgeously displayed in these tall wood and glass galleries she said her family made for her. I'm trying to give you the benefit of doubt so I'm not posting this. Today I had the ring tested again. The findings are even more upsetting. My receipt clearly states the the ring I bought is 18k. However after testing today the ring is 10k with a coating over it to make it brighter. Your "co owner " accused me of replacing the stones which is ridiculous, but how do you explain the gold content? I can't switch this out. I'm not trying to hurt your business but I do want what I agreed to pay for. I'm again asking, based on my findings, for a refund.
