At the Galleria Mall which is not busy at all with easy garage parking. Today I was the chaperone for the wife and her friend to have a shopping expedition. She purchased her coveted Clinique bronzer from the Dillard's cosmetic section on the first floor. The lady knew my wife and mother by first name for many years. The prices seem to be competitive with other big retailers and online. Advertisements on back to school deals. The second floor had all the women's dresses where she was consumed for about an hour. Lots of sales throughout the ladies clothing department. The gender assigned bathroom was clean and was happy to see an up to date cleaning log on the back of the door which shows great management. read more

I have been buying my cosmetics from here for over 15 years and the customer service is A-Plus. It is never busy here so the lady takes her time with me introducing new upcoming items. Atrocious experience. I ordered Mahjong tile racks. I received a folding chair. What do they have in common? I don't know. So now it's my responsibility to lug this heavy, unwieldy chair to the post office to return. I do not have a car so this is a big problem. When I called customer service, there was no offer to make anything right. Not a free replacement, not a discount code, nothing. I don't shop at Dillard's very often. But today I was surprised to see a lot of high end shirts for sale. I saw several Ted Baker and some Danie Cremieux... these brands usually retail for about $300 and I saw a Ted Baker on clearance for $35 and many of the Cremieux shirts for about $80. The staff as very friendly and twice asked me if I needed any help. I was pleased with my experience here and will come back again to see if they have any more good deals !!! read more

The strong stench of mold in this store is absolutely insane. Multiple people have left reviews here stating the same. Employees are also aware of the issue and told us that the customers have to complain as they won't listen to employees. This is absolutely unacceptable and unsafe working conditions for these people. Long or even short exposure to mold can cause serious sickness and even long term health concerns. The stench of mold and humid air makes the store unbearable for more than a couple minutes. The air is so heavy and humid you can feel it on the clothes. Size runs on popular brands/style are incomplete and nothing in back stock according to staff. Difficult sometimes to simply find someone to make a purchase. I found a fabulous pair of shoes on sale. Their shoe department always has a great variety and things always go on sale. It is the perfect shoes to go with my farewell brunch dress for my wedding and I'm very satisfied with the value for what I got. read more

BEWARE - DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE!!! Horrible customer service and awful return policy. Just know that they will give you a very hard time if you're trying to return anything. I tried to return a perfume within 2 days of purchase due to buyers remorse, it was still in the original box and I had the original receipt and they told me in a very snippy and condescending way that I couldn't return it because the plastic wrap of the box had been opened. They didn't even offer me an exchange or anything. They made me feel very unwelcome and more of a nuisance than a valued customer. Also, at the time of Sale, the Sales associate never informed me that once the plastic wrap of the box is opened you can no longer return the item. I was completely unaware of this especially since Macy's, Sephora and any other decent retailers always let you return unsealed perfumes without any issues when they're still in the box, even if they were gently used and with most of the liquid remaining, if you have the receipts and if it's within the return window, it's part of decent customer service. Due to their horrible customer service and awful return policy, I will never step one foot in that store again. read more

I physically got ill from the mold in here. You are hit with the scent of it as soon as you walk in. It's actually embarrassing that a place would operate under these conditions. Great quality, current designs and prices that go with them well. Never have I ever been so embarrassed by the actions of a manager in my life...I was shopping with my wife and noticed a guy working there named Nick in the mens department I over heard him saying he don't like gypsy people and he's gonna follow them around the store as he followed this young couple shopping for husband she was going to the register with a baby stroller to place some items they choose on hold while they continued shopping. This guy Nick comes screaming over viciously pulling the items from her hands and then grabs the stroller with a child in it then starts yelling at her and said it's his store and he don't like gypsy people shopping there. The young land and her husband got upset at him for his actions and walked out respectfully The few shoppers that was in there walked out as well because of it. I asked a nice older lady what had happened and she said he's the manager and does this to gypsy people all the time and there's nothing they can do about it as other employees are just as disgusted with him as well. My wife and I also walked out and went shopping to another store. It's not a custom suit. They charged me over $400 for what they called a custom suit jacket. Turns out after taking my measurements they were just giving me a premade suit. When it showed up, they had to take my measurements a second time and adjust the sleeves. It was clearly not made to fit me and clearly not made to the measurements that they took the first time. It's just a scam for them to be able to charge you extra and call it custom. Not to mention, I had to make three trips out there. First trip for the initial measure second trip for the second measure and third trip to pick it up. read more

So I made a purchase at the Chanel counter and unfortunately it was not right for my skin tone even though the girl said it was perfect I lost my receipt plus it was three days later ,they would not look up with my credit card like most stores even restaurants can look up what you purchased on your credit card . The customer service is horrible in the Clearance Center as well as the phone customer service! I bought (2) pair of shoes online and one pair didn't fit so I bought a smaller size online; only to find out that I had to pay $9.95 to ship them back or driven more than 10 miles one way for "free" return to the store. How is it free if I'm going to spend more than $10 in gas just to return the shoes ? If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I went in yesterday to look for my husband some shirts. Being my first time in there I looked around for myself after (it's 3 stories so I wandered a little) I had security follow me around like I was trying to steal something.. I took turns to MAKE SURE he was, and he was. I left immediately. Went around to many other stores to get what I needed, couldn't find it, so I returned to get the item I needed. The SAME security guy, plus another one, and the manager followed me as I walked directly to the item I needed and would run like ants when I turned around to go to checkout. It's been eight years since my last review and I decided that it's about time for an update. I still love coming to the store. The friendliness of the employees is unmatched. I have a Dillards five minutes away from my home and I make the 40 minute drive to the galleria mall for the attentiveness of the employees and for the cleanliness and organization of this store. Also it is huge! There is not one of comparable size in Broward County. You can literally spend two hours combing through this four-story store. read more

As I wandered the Galleria, I decided to check-out Dillard's. This is not one of my usual stops but someone recommended the petite department. I started in the cosmetics looking for my Kiehls but they only had a small table with a few products and the associate trying to help didn't know anything about the line. She did say they "could" be getting a counter in the future. Onward. I made my way upstairs for Petites and did find a large selection but nothing that excited me. It felt a little older than I like. I was in the mood to treat myself but really couldn't. On the way out, I passed the fragrance counter. I wasn't looking but something caught my attention and I started talking to Brian. He was so personable and seemed to know what I might like. He sprayed Joy and it did smell nice so I took a sample to test on me. I really liked him and would return if I decide to make a purchase. There was a skirt I fell in love with at Dillard's in Jacksonville, but they didn't have it in my size. They looked up the SKU for me at other Dillard's and found that the skirt I wanted was here at this location. I called and spoke with an associate in Today's Woman and she was so kind and helpful. She immediately found the skirt for me, and I was so thrilled! I made the payment over the phone with my credit card, and she took all my information to have it shipped to me. I hate that I cannot recall her name... I feel she really went above and beyond to help me. I had just spoken with an associate at a Dillard's in Georgia (the one other store the skirt was located) and the woman had been rude and very unhelpful. I was happy I didn't have that kind of bad experience with the associate here at this location. It was a Friday evening when I made the purchase, so my skirt wasn't mailed until the following Monday. The associate made sure to inform me of this so I wouldn't be expecting it in the next day or two. I did receive it the following Wednesday, so it only took two days to reach me once it was sent. When the package arrived, the associate had even written me a nice thank you note and placed it in the box with the skirt. Even though my dealings with this store were completely over the phone, I was extremely satisfied with my experience. I won't hesitate to use this Dillard's in the future if they happen to have other items I can't find in my local store. read more

It's an upscale department store in an upscale shopping mall. Yeah, that just about sums up Dillard's. These stores actually don't exist where I'm from, so this is kind of new to me. Then again, I was just a tourist wandering about aimlessly in the Galleria Mall anyway. My sister bought a pair of rainbow-colored sandals from this store for $15.74 or $16.69 after sales tax. They were functional at least and lasted for the entire duration of several excursions through the Caribbean Islands over the course of a week. You don't have to spend a lot of money here to get a good deal. One of the guys working here was quite friendly to us and went on to talk about how he came to Florida from Ohio. It's nice to know that friendly service is here. I probably don't really need most of the stuff they sell here, but this store is a decent anchor for the mall. read more

I fell in love with this store after my first visit. This is now the only boy Dillards I ever shop at. The two ladies that assisted me were the perfect example of Retail Customer Service! Ms. Claudia & Dee (couldn't remember her real name) They gladly assisted me and informed me of sales on the items I was looking for that day. They even offered options of scents similar to my liking. I called with a simple request to be transferred to the mens department. The lady answering the phone was pleasant and helpful, she put in the transfer, after ringing for I counted 20 times this same lady came back on the phone. This time I repeated my request, she recognized my voice, very shot, she transferred me after a brief hold she transferred me to the cosmetics counter. Oh the joy of talking to a snotty woman who informed me very curtly that she didn't work in the MENS department and that I should call back and ask for the correct department before being transferred, hanging up abruptly. So me being me I called back, getting the some original lady who was very nice at the onset. However this time recognizing my voice she was downright rude. Asking me with a raised voice like she couldn't be bothered, " sir, what exactly are you looking for," to witch I replied, " I simply would like to take to the mens department." This didn't go well on her fragile nerves. I started asking for a manager and she went into some tizi of an audible clamor. Only after repeatedly asking for a manager, did the manager come on the line. He asked me very unsympathetic and loud, " Sir, what is your problem?" I started by say I only wanted to speak with the mens department, he immediately said, " will transfer you directly." I replied very fast as he was trying to pass me off, " but now I would like to complain about rude unhelpful and very unprofessional behavior." To witch he went into his own tizi... I ended the call. Went to Dillards to pick up a small gift for a friend. Now understand my Dillards card is a Rewards one. The magnetic strip on the card apparently did not work so I asked the "CLERK" to put in the numbers. She replied that she could not do that. She instructed me to get in touch with corporate to get a new card. She then asked me if I had another card I could use. WHAT???? her manager appeared then and she said the same thing. So I politely asked if they accepted Platinum American Express? I have never had sales people treat me like a 3rd rate citizen. This is not the first time Dillards people have been so arrogant; it appears that Customer Service is a foreign language to these dept store people. Watch out for the Ladies with the foreign accents that work in the Fragrance Department! (note: I am a Foreigner as well, so this is not a biased review based on that Fact!). The pre-Christmas special was $25 "gift certificate" printed on a receipt for every hundred dollars spent, to be used December 26 to December 12 in the fragrance department only. Upon check out I was not told about this promotion and only because I asked at the last minute, did this employee tell me that I would be receiving "something". My total before tax was barely 6 dollars short of 300. I received the "gift card" value of $50. A normal sales person that wasn't trying to "scam" would have told me to purchase something for approximately $6 to bump up my total to $300 to get the extra $25 credit. The fact that they didn't tell me until I asked about a promotion as well as the fact that I was only a few dollars short of receiving an extra $25 off, both indicate to me that they weren't going to say thing and keep that $50 "gift certificate" for themselves! Verification of my suspicions to this "scam" happened yesterday when I went into use my $50 "gift card" credit. A normal sales person with morals and integrity filled me in on the whole scam that is going on at this particular Dillards in this fragrance department. This unnamed employee elaborated on how he or she has seen these particular other employees keeping the "gift card" print out in the cash drawer after a sale is completed without informing the customer and not giving it to the customer. It's obvious what is going on.... Management or Corporate Dillards needs to do something about this. I will never shop at this Dillards location again until they clean up the scams going on and get rid of these Thieves! As well, I will inform all friends and family to avoid shopping at this Dillards. read more

Very unpleasant experience today. I went in to make a quick clothing return and leave. I went to the first available register, men's clothing, and was told by the associate that I could not return women's clothing there. I informed him that I have done so before without issue. After refusing to help me he told me to go upstairs to women's clothing. I went upstairs to women's clothing and AGAIN, I was told I could not make the return there and would have to go upstairs.. I started calling the store to speak with a manager because there was not a manager in sight. I spoke to Nick and he said he would meet me on the 3rd floor. Once there I inquired as to their policy of returning clothing. He said it was not their policy however it is recommended to return to the right department. Both he and the cashier he took me to started to speak over me and rush me which I found incredibly rude. I do not feel that he handled that situation very well. Employes attitude towards customers is outrageous. We asked someone a question and they answered us in a sharp manner, turned their back and walk away. Forget about friendly and helpful. We were there on Veterans Day and asked if there was any discounts for Vets on this day. Was told no. Ask us to come back on December for the store's Military, Police discount etc...
