Last time I was walking north on A1A from Bo's Beach to Las Olas, I saw this group of souvenir stores facing the beach....it's like three stores in one little strip mall. The merchandise in all three is somewhat similar but with some differences...all of them sell t-shirts and sweatshirts as well as souvenirs, but one of them sell some name brand items more than others, for example one has lots of Salt Life beach wear, while another one has a large selection of Ray Ban sunglasses...it's easy to go from one to the other...just like 50 steps away. A place to get stuff mostly for tourists that want to get a souvenir from their trip to Fort Lauderdale. read more

Got these cool glasses, they were on a rack and i know i could've gotten them cheaper at 7/11 or something but I wanted decent quality. Person checking me out was really kind and cleaned them off. Next day I noticed the logo was missing. I go in and say hey is there anything you can do "Nothing. Literally, my favorite boutique! I've been coming here for seven years and I am always ask for fabulous Jennifer. She is the most amazing personal shopper I've ever met in my life she has style like I've never seen everything I have bought from this boutique people stop me wherever I go and they have for years. The store is always in gorgeous condition, the bathing suits are the most beautiful suits I've ever seen you will not regret the stop. The men side has gorgeous things to and there's always a sale rack in the back. Everyone likes a little sting on sale. I'm so grateful for this treasure of a shop. read more

I had written a review on the "Style in" which is the way it'd spelled on their front door sign as located at 101 South Fort Lauderdale Boulevard but have now found out that there are three other stores with "Style in" spelled out as "Stylein" and also with the businesses registered as such. The other stores are located at 411, 405 and 417 South Fort Lauderdale Boulevard. The interesting thing about them, which has prompted me to write this review, is that they are all different. Though they contain similar merchandise being clothing apparel the stores range from the very high end designer apparel carried at the 101 location to a lower end carried at the 417 location with the 405 locations having items somewhere in between the high and lower ends of the scale. Better is that all of the items I looked over in each of the stores were of rather good quality; not the cheapo typical t-shirt crap stuff so commonly found in beach front shops. Whoever the buyer or merchandiser for Stylein, I really have to give him or her credit not only for unique marketing but for carrying quality merchandise at what I would say is reasonably priced considering the stores locations. So if you're in the market for resortwear, sunglasses, footwear, shirts or swimwear the Stylein stores can well be worth checking out. For the purposes of this review, I haven't written for all of the stores as a separate review of each would tend to be duplicative and have written this for the 411 address only as it already existed on Yelp because the other stores so nearby. read more

Love this store when I fly to Fort Lauderdale! They have great brands, great quality and great customer service !

I purchased a shirt for my husband and he wore it to dinner the next night and noticed it had come apart at the seam. Prior to flying out I returned to the store and found they had another one of the same size available and as their sign said only exchanges with original receipt within 14 days would be honored I saw no problem. I was then told by, who I can only assume was the manager, that probably my husband was too large for the shirt implying that he shoved himself into the shirt and tore it. It was not a tear, it came apart at the back just below his neck. Then I was told there was no refunds or exchanges on sale items which this was. Again that is not what the sign said and I was not told when I made the purchase. I was appalled and have never had someone actually imply that someone was too fat and caused the damage? Who says something like that without even seeing said person. I will make sure everyone I speak with about my otherwise wonderful trip to Fort Lauderdale was ruined by such a remark. Shirt was only a little over 20.00 (originally over 68.00) so I can handle the loss of money but will never get over the unprofessional remark that was made. read more

On February 14th, my wife and I went to the Style In store at 417 S. Ft. Lauderdale Beach so that she could exchange previously purchased sandals and for me to buy a pair. I waited outside while my wife made the exchanges. After 20 minutes or so, she motioned for me to come in where I met Dan, her sales representative. He was polite and very professional. I was able to conclude my transaction for a pair of Teva sandals in just a few minutes. After we left, my wife shared with me how upset she was when a co-worker (manager??) came up while Dan was assisting her and began berating him. My wife had no idea what was going on but she found the discussion upsetting. She had only good things to say about Dan and how we was climbing all over to show her different sandals. Dan is to be commended but his colleague was totally out line. Whatever the issues, they should never be discussed in front of a customer. 5 Stars for Dan and 2 for his colleague. read more

This place is big.. but it's really packed.. you kind of need to know what you are looking for or want.. to aimlessly walk around is a headache. I do have to say.. prices are STEEP! So be ready to spend some money.. they do have good brands.. but it's pretty pricey. Small section of stuff that is on sale.. but don't bother looking.. stuff isn't that great. They do have a variety of items from hats, bathing suits, cover ups, dresses and jewelry! Men's stuff as well! read more

BEWARE!!! Either their hours are wrong or they just choose not to follow them. I had checked the "southern tide" clothing website and it said that "Style In" was a retailer that sold their clothes. I happened to be at Fort Lauderdale beach and I wanted some of their clothes so I went to Style In. I walked up at exactly 9:08 (hours say 10:00) and I was greeted by who I assumed was the owner of the store beginning to close the door. When I asked her if they were closing she rudely said "YES NOW!!" And slammed the door in my face. I'm glad this was a short encounter with this unpleasant and unprofessional woman because I may have not been so polite either after this encounter. I was already weary of the store because of the poor ratings and horror stories of the owner but I will not be back. There is a very nice southern tide store on Las Olas boulevard if you want some of their clothes like I did. read more

This was the best customer service I've had in a tourist area in Florida. Prices were comparable or better than prices at a Main Street mall or shop in a non-tourist area. read more

My son had seen A Vineyard vines T-shirt that he was going to buy it and the lady yelled at him. And then another customer and had asked her for a price and she told her that this is not target.. so we walked on to another store and apparently it's the same owners that own both stores and Bree and David that work there or very helpful to us!! read more

Awful service came in on Wednesday's day Before thanksgiving lady that looked like a pit bull came at us so aggressively ironically like a pit bull cause we wanted to see the label in back of shirt. She could've been more polite. The shirt was in display so you can see and touch if not put a no touch label. To the owner get rid of her she scared away business. They only get one star because zero stars was not an option. We walked up to the store at 9:30pm and the doors were open so we walked in. As soon as we walked in the owners told us they were closed and we needed to leave. The hours on the door clearly stated 10am-10pm. We mentioned that to them and they told us they had been waiting on us for 12 hours and that we just showed up late. They were very rude to us and would rather argue with us and have an attitude instead of pleasing the customer. We will not be coming back! read more

Awesome store! They carry Tommy Bahama, southern tide, vineyard vines. Not your cheesy tourist trap. Good prices, good service.

I love low-end pretty jewelry, buy lots as my keepsakes, and this store has tons! It also has some medium priced things, and higher end bags, along with lots of overpriced beachwear, comparable to all the stores around town. As I gathered more and more to buy, the pressure techniques went up, but as I made it clear I wasn't buying a bag or Maui Jims, they did back off, and continued to be nice to us. Checking out is another experience, though. I should have objected to having her input the prices into a calculator out of sight, and I really should have asked for the total before I signed the credit card machine. We got a credit card receipt -- no itemized one -- for what turned out to be $32 over what it should have been, when I got home and added it up plus tax. Either they "forgot" one of the pairs of earrings which were free with purchase of necklace and bracelet, or added a little extra thinking it wouldn't get noticed. As there are no returns to the store, and regardless I didn't have an itemized receipt so my total merchandise return would have been -- sigh -- $32 short -- I can't do anything about it but warn people here, and wish I'd seen the other reviews. Apparently the trick of totaling, charging the card, and then presenting it for signature is common on this strip, as the swimsuit business down the block did the same thing with their "buy one get one free" promotion, but that time we didn't sign the doubled total, so we didn't get ripped off there. So, really 4 stars for the merchandise, dropped to 3 for the prices, dropped to 2 for the overcharge. Would only come back with a calculator of my own:) read more

The lady working was so rude that she made me want to write my first yelp review. I was drawn in by the Tommy Bahama sign, as I am a fan. While looking at shirts to get my boyfriend, the lady working there comes over, ask if I need any help, I ask a question, she replies with an insult, and takes the shirt I was looking at out of my hand and puts it away. I say thank you and she replies condescendingly "uh huh honey". My question was if the Tommy B shirts has Fort Lauderdale, like Vineyard Vines did. Thanks, I'll go to Macy's instead. read more

Terrible, Terrible Rude staff. I have 3 teenage girls that went into this store. The first bought a "vineyard vines" hat. The second one was checking out when I went in to check on them. The cashier was yelling at my daughter to go get her sister because they needed to REMOVE the tags from the merchandise she bought. Whoa not so fast. I confronted her and she continued to yell and act straight up crazy... well the confrontation escalated. I demanded she return the 80 that my daughter had just handed her and the third did not buy the merchandise she had either. My guess is the products ARE NOT authentic and the tags are being removed and placed on the next product. BEWARE of this store and the dragon lady RUDE cashier. read more

I was looking for an outfit to buy for the evening. I walked into this store and was very impressed with the clothing. I happened to see they sold Maui Jim sunglasses and wanted to try on a pair. I only tried on 3 pair and was debating which one I liked best. I told my friend to write the style down because I did not want to buy glasses at that particular moment. However, I had every intention of buying a dress at that store. The Manager told me he would not help me anymore. I assume because I was not going to buy his sunglasses at that moment. He was very rude and just walked away and told me to shop elsewhere. I have never encountered such a rude experience and was shocked. I dress nice, I was not rude and I love to spend money. I would never shop at this store again. I do not recommend this store solely based on the poor attitude of the Manager. read more

First off, I want to say that the products that are sold here are great. They have great brands like Southern TIde, Vineyard Vines, Tommy Bahama, and both Ray Bans and Maui Jims. The store is very clean and well lit. The reason why I gave 2 stars is because of the customer service. My friend was looking at a shirt to buy and he did not know which one and size. He took a couple off of the rack to look at them and then folded them back on the table. He folded it like you would any shirt at a retail store like that. All of a sudden we heard a woman who was working at the store and said "all the shirts are the same, there shouldn't be any reason you would have to pick one up and look at it" and it was said in a harsh tone. My friend went to go checkout and the woman came over to me and I said "sorry he did not know what size he wanted." She said I am refolding all of this sh** all day. (This is during spring break, so there are a lot of drunk college kids around so i get she may not have had her patience) However, as customers i felt that it was quite harsh to be told this and with that tone. When i voiced this to her, she said it was not worth it to her to refold all day for him to buy one shirt. (Which was $50 dollars) We left to go to a different store and on our way back she was taking a smoke break outside of the store and she very sarcastically waved as we walked by and said goodbye. Overall, I did not think that we were treated very well when we simply were trying to buy a shirt. It is unfortunate this happened because the store has great stuff. read more
