She takes time to listen to your style likes and dislikes, she then will go out onto the floor and pick out choices for you. I've been shopping at this particular store for many years now, and I feel like the aisles and get smaller and smaller and the store has become more cluttered. There is almost no room to walk and every time I go, I feel like I'm always having to side-step just to find what I need. They have a large selection of name brand clothing and accessories. Occasionally you will find sales, but for the most part you will end up paying full price. I do find myself shopping here a lot for my pre-teen daughter, as they do have stylish clothing that many other local stores do not carry. I always find amazing sale and clearance prices in the spring time. While I do like many of the items they sell, I find it to be a very unpleasant shopping experience every time I am there. If you've ever set foot inside this particular Dillard's you will know what I'm talking about. Their clothing racks are so close together that there is practically no room to maneuver. They have way though inventory on the floor for the size of it. Since many of the brands they sell are not available elsewhere in Missoula, I come here to shop even though I know I will be cursing under my breath the entire time. read more

I have found some really amazing deals here on sales. Just be warned, if it ISN'T on sale, they are going to hammer you with a high price. One sale event, I had found a jacket for a ridiculously low price. It didn't ring up that way on the register, and I called attention to it. I mentioned it was on the sale rack with the other things. The cashier immediately apologized and said they had been having a lot of problems with sale items not being tagged properly and immediately gave the sale price. No hassle, ho having to walk the cashier back to the rack in question like so many other stores. This place may charge too much at regular price, but they have AWESOME customer service. Whenever I am in Missoula I check the sales here. You should too. read more

Piss poor customer service! Made eye contact with three associates, and NOT ONE ASKED TO HELP ME! I walked around in the shoe department for 30 minutes....NOTHING! Was there to purchase a pair of Hunter boots and socks.......Dillard's has lost my business! I understand help is hard to get now a days....but you shouldn't lower your standards! Incredibly rude, unprofessional staff and horrible customer service. I watched an employee in the formal dress section of the store publicly humiliate a young, very sweet girl looking for a prom dress because of her size on 03/02/2019. A little suggestion for this employee: For your own fulfillment, and that of the people you know, regardless of anyone's weight, consider adopting a less judgmental and more open-minded approach. People come in all shapes and sizes. The human body has a tremendous capacity for variation, which is why everyone looks different.The sad fact is, some people just love to judge and condemn others, and will find any excuse to do it, no matter the burden it places on society. I recently visited the Dillard's store in Missoula. An associate, Judy Erickson, in the ladies' dress department provided the best customer service I've had in any store in many years. She searched her inventory of dresses for me and brought at least 15 dresses for me to try. I was visiting from out of town and only wish I could find this level of customer service anywhere I shop. My daughter is getting married in April, the hunt for the perfect Mother of the Bride dress had proven to be harder than the Brides Dress. During Christmas it's often frustrating to shop while waiting in long lines, big crowds and to put up with rude and inconsiderate people. David in the men's department at the Missoula store was amazing. My girlfriend and I were both helped by David on different days. The customer service we both experienced is how all retail customer service should follow. David went above and beyond to make our experience at Dillard's memorable. My dear friend got married a couple days ago. She hired one of the stylists (Chris) in the Dillard's salon to do her hair. The day of the wedding he didn't show. No word. And Dillard's still hasn't given her a refund for her trial run. The most beautiful, perfect day of her life and she had to do her own hair. If you're going to get your hair done at this salon, do yourself a favor and pick a stylist that isn't a flake. read more

Hair Salon was an incredible ripoff. I took my daughter to get her haircut and the woman spent less than 20 minutes including the hair wash. It wasn't a horrible cut but it was barely a trim and definitely not even. When they were finished they didn't even dry her hair. Then I went to pay and it was $54. I could not believe they charge that much for what they did to her hair. I could have done a better job at home. Or taking her to cost cutters and paid half price for the same trim. They can't just let you browse. This is not the first time. Also, I'm not alone on this. When I tell my friends they all agree. I'm asked numerous times can I help you. 1-2 minutes apart , the entire time I'm there. I don't have the ability to really ever look because if there not asking me constantly, then they stand behind me . How uncomfortable is that to shop. Tonight when I said I was just looking , the dark puffed hair cosmetics girl firmly said( I'm just doing my job)!!! She was so rude to me, I of course was asked by someone else if I needed help right after that by someone else. Geez Dillard's ! Spent an hour waiting for shoes only to be told that out of 8 different pairs there was not one in my size. Pretty ridiculous

I made the appointment over the phone, told them what I needed done and I emphasized the current condition of my hair (length, thickness, and color as well as color history). I've had my hair done in different states and this was the first salon I'd tried in Missoula. The dillards in Utah was fantastic so why not try one here? The girl quoted what I wanted done to be $100. Got to the salon for my appointment and $200 later there was no difference besides the trim of split ends. I told the girl I didn't have time for her to fix the same day and she said ok that's the only time she could do it. Called up customer service and spoke with the manager of Dillard's. She was very rude and sarcastic when I explained the problem her response was "Oh, and hair is so important in life." And "she does my daughter's hair and I never have a problem." Yes, it is important when I pay for something, I expect what I pay for! As well as me having to walk around with it, its very important the way one presents themselves especially when working in sales as I do! The only thing positive is I did manage to get a refund. I do NOT recommend this salon or Dillard's in general here in Missoula. read more

One of my favorite stores in Missoula! Great selection, great prices- love the sales. I've always been greeted in each department and the sales associates are very helpful. Sorry if someone had a bad experience... that's not typical for Dillard's. The mall is Missoula is really nice and Dillard's is one of the best shopping experiences. read more

For Missoula, Dillards men's department has a pretty solid selection and while most of the staff are helpful, there are a few standout performers and one in particular who remembers my prior visits and is always incredibly helpful. read more
