I think most of the reviews here are very unjust, and that people are very self entitled today and do not respect those who work a retail job. Everyone bent over backwards to help all the customers; they worked as fast as they could to accommodate people. The pressure they were under, oh my I could not take the attitude of some customers, I would snap! It's 2017 people wake up!! There was no stock, obviously not their fault. I just went home and spent the evening shopping online instead. I bought about a dozen pair, and simply returned any that didn't work out. The returns all went through smoothly; I did make a point of arriving first thing 10 am before it got busy. I would suggest to all the ornery mean people who don't want to be respectful to sales people, to shop online at home! I wish I could name all the names, but thanks to everyone in the department, about 8 people I came into contact with all wonderful. I realized i needed shoes badly, and after considering couture shoes, there was no way i was going to pay 1500 dollars for narrow ill fitting shoes no better than the 200 dollar shoes. Even better is when the 200 dollar shoes are on sale for 80, or 40! Welcome to a shoe sale at Macys. Better yet, Macys ONLINE. I bought about a dozen pairs. I have given up on finding shoes in my actual size, which is 7-71/2 B heel E width, it doesn't exist. I now buy mostly 8 1/2 and 9, and stopped struggling with the pain of "breaking in" shoes! Try it, it also leaves room for gel soles or other shoe inserts and layering socks. Now if i can just find the ideal brown suede or faux suede boot. The over all quality of all consumer goods has dipped, so this season they showed a lot of faux suedes, velvets and other leather options. You have to look out for the brands that maintain some quality and look like the higher end versions. Many brands have downgraded and it's disappointing. Other newer brands have popped up that have very high style, quality and more width than the older brands. I bought a half dozen pairs of booties all with the moulded soft type soles, and they were all wearable out of the box. I've had a lot of very bad consumer experiences in Nashville, most at hyped up millennial run restaurants, bars and coffeeshops. I think most of these comments are unjustly made by spoiled people who don't realize how understaffed all retail establishments are in Nashville currently are. That's the price of a wealthy it city and not enough young people who work starter jobs anymore. Everyone's a "brand" by 20 years old. Hum I think Macys has been a brand for over 100 years!! Retail sales people aren't your slaves. If you can't be pleasant polite person, shop online at home!

I purchased a Serta Cascade Bluff King mattress set with white glove delivery on 5/23/26. The new set was delivered 6/6/26 with irregularities in the mattress due to the top foam layers releasing. The delivery drivers took pictures, removed my old mattress and box springs and told me to contact customer service for a replacement the following Monday. I spent in excess of 8 hours working with customer service, the 3rd time a manager insured me he would personally follow up, but didn't. After 4 failed delivery attempts (last one 7/11/26) I asked for a different, but comparable mattress. They had a comparable, significantly more expensive mattress (box springs not included) but Macy's would only offer a 10% discount. I declined and opened a BBB complaint to give them an opportunity to make things right. They did not respond, so I am purchasing locally.

We circled the shoe area trying to find the one she had in mind. As we were chatting about different options, I looked down and there it was! It was exactly what she described and she was elated. A sales associate approached us to help and placed the request using an iPad. As we waited, he returned a couple times to let us know that they're having a difficult time locating the pair due to inventory moving around because of the sale, but they're working on it. After several more minutes, Kandace was sent to assist us further. She said that the shoe could not be found but offered the option to ship it. Unfortunately, our daughter is moving out of her apartment in a couple days, so this was not ideal. I instead asked for it to be shipped to the store. She didn't hesitate to assist with that. We encountered a couple issues as she was trying to process the transaction. The only solution was for me to place the order myself on the app. She was quite apologetic for the inconvenience, but she was too sweet and helpful to find her at fault. It took me just a few minutes to place the order. We then decided to check-out the sale rack on our way out. The daughter fell in love with a Damson Madder mini dress. It was a perfect fit and 35% off -- I had to buy it. Cidney was the sales associate at the register. She was so much fun to chat with as she handled our transaction. She offered recommendations for other pieces and almost convinced me to purchase a super-cute Free People cardigan. :) Friendly, fantastic service from Nordstrom at the Mall at Green Hills, especially during the weekend at one of their busiest times!

Even though this was a new construction, it made sense for Green Hills and fit so perfectly. And even though the majority of the residents were chains (I'm guessing you need big money to afford this kind of rent), the stores were all appropriately suited for the area and all fit in to the complex. I'm not much of a shopper, but the Hill Center has sucked me in to buy furniture, food, clothes, gifts, and groceries. I'm surprised by how often I find myself here -- especially given that I don't live that close to the complex. I'm telling you: that's the power of pretty. Horrible experience at The Container Store in Nashville TN two months ago…read more I went to pick up some things and was going to talk to someone about elfa closets. Saw only two people on the sales floor in the Elfa area who both ignored me. I finally stopped a lady who walked past me to discuss the plans I had for my closets. She acted like I was bothering her. I frankly gave up on buying elfa. I then went to go pay for what I intended to purchase and found only one register open and 8 people in line. At that point I decided to seek out the manager. I went back into the store and now found that NO ONE a was on the floor. Looked in every nook and cranny and found no one other than other customers wandering. I then found what appeared to be magnetic access cards and a Zebra hand held device laying in the open on a display rack! I waited 15 minutes for the manager to finally appear. I asked why I had found no one on the floor to help customers. I also handed her the security tags that were left behind. Her response? "we are badly understaffed and working to unload our truck". I asked her if customers spending money were not important? She barely responded and could have cared less. (she did not even act alarmed or concerned about the security tags and the zebra device) I called their headquarters in Dallas and have never had any response from them. Two weeks ago I was in one of their stores in the Denver Area and experienced the same thing.... only two people on the entire floor in Elfa both involved with customers... Sad to see a company I have shopped at for 35 years go down hill so badly. This company consistently ranked top on "Best Places to Work" years ago and now could now care less about their customers. I just looked at Fortune Magazines top places for 2024 list .... 100 companies and Container Store is not even on the list. Sad. I left my cart behind and ordered on Amazon....

Honestly, if you shop online, you better be sure you're keeping what you buy because returning or exchanging something is unnecessarily difficult. Even though they state a 14-day return policy, you can't simply take your item back to the store--even if it's only been one day since pickup. You have to email, wait for approval, and sometimes make phone calls just to arrange a basic return or exchange. If it happens to be the weekend, good luck, because there's no one available to handle it. I love their merchandise, but the return process makes me think twice about ordering online again. Great clothes, terrible return and exchange experience.
