It takes a lot for me to lose my temper, but I regret that I did so today, due to a Macy's employee's rudeness and a false 30-day return policy (info online from their own website) that the manager would not honor. I will no longer shop there. It is a shame because they have great clothes, but I have had too many negative experiences with their customer service employees (including an instance where a line full of women waiting was ignored to serve a man who'd just arrived), and there is no excuse not to honor a written policy. read more

While I was looking through emails, she was seemingly accusing me lying that I bought the watch there. This was a big purchase for me and she was extremely disrespectful and rude. Update: Just another terrible experience with Macy's. I went to exchange a pair of shoes for the same show in another size and for whatever reason the way they exchanged the shoes was to return the first pair and then have me re-buy the second pair. Well they "returned" the shoe to my card and of course the money did not instantly go back on my card so now I had to essentially spend another $65 to pay for the shoe I already bought. ON TOP of that when I bought the shoe I got a $30 Macy money bonus as a promotion, but when I exchanged he shoe since it was done as a return it took away $10 of that Macy's money. Then when I repurchased the shoe it didn't correct that and re-add the $10. I asked why and the merchant said because it was a promotion at that time and not going on anymore. Which literally makes no sense because I wasn't returning the product I was just getting a different size. So now that I'm out $65 that I didn't plan to spend because literally no store ever makes you rebuy a product for a simple exchange. And on top of that I had to spend an additional $10 I didn't plan to spend on my other purchase because I was expecting to have a $30 Macy's money credit. Several days later I still haven't seen the refund processing so I contact my bank and they have no record of the refund. Well I still have the receipt claiming that I have been refunded so I will be contacting them to solve this problem as well. Geeze what a huge mess just from wanting a different sized shoe! I don't blame the associate who helped me, they were great, but I blame this company for having horrible practices, and terrible customer service. I mean what company goes through so many hops just to return a shoe? And they didn't need to try so hard to take away the Macy's money for any return so much so that you can't even exchange a product without losing it. At that point it's just false advertising. I ordered a couch from this Macy's on Labor Day weekend 2020. On that date the salesperson informed me that delivery will take 12-14 weeks due to COVID issues. That would've put my order in around Thanksgiving 2020. I received my second notification today that my order is being pushed back to not even arrive in their warehouse until 01/02/2021. Nearly 17 weeks after ordering the merchandise. I only recommend ordering furniture from this Macy's if you're planning for a half a year out. The customer service of my original salesperson is nonexistent- no response and basically cut off communication after receiving my credit card info. read more

Why oh WHY did I ever order anything online at Macy's? I ordered an item for my daughter. I got to the end of the order and it said my credit card was declined. I called customer service for help. They said they saw where I had TRIED to order it and would place the order for me. Guess what? We got TWO of the same thing. And guess what else? My credit card was charged two times. After 3 days of calling, the resolution is that they will remove the bogus charge that was THEIR fault when they pick up the item with UPS (and of course, it will take 10 days to see the credit on my card.) As of right now, we haven't heard from UPS to come and get the damn thing. Another lesson learned! Amazon would have bent over backwards to get this right. Specifially reviewing the shoe department... Walked in very excited to buy several pairs of shoes. They were having a big sale so I fully intended to buy at least one pair. I could not find ANYONE to get me a size. The department is huge and they had ONE person working behind the counter. She told me I could go get the shoes I wanted off the floor and bring them to her and she'd get them form the back.. Sure...Let me, the customer, scramble all of these shoes together for you and then go put them all back wherever they went. This is not customary. Any time I've been in a big department store, especially with a SALE, I was waited on. I was approached by an employee and asked if I needed help. In Macy's I had to go ask an employee in another department where I could get help from in the shoe department. It was a hassle to even try on a pair so I definitely did not leave with the shoes I intended to buy. Very poor customer service and I would expect more out of a large department during a sale. read more

My wife and I shop at Macy's quite a bit, although usually online. We bought a few items online and needed to make some returns. I didn't have a box big enough (had some shoes that didn't fit) so I figured I would just go to the store since I would be near one. Should be easy to return a couple of items, but nooooooo! You have to go to each different department to return the various items. So I had to walk all over the store to return a few items. How ridiculously that? This is not Macy's best effort. Macy's used to be special, kind of a higher-end, big name in department stores. I know there's been consolidation, divestiture, and mergers in the industry, and somehow, Macy's is hanging on... The staffing level is poor. It sometimes feels like there are only two or three store associates on the whole floor (I'm sure there are more, but that's how it feels). And the worst part - if I pick something and want to buy it, I have to walk around and go to other departments to find somebody to take my money. I contrast this with Nordstrom, which I grant you, is a higher-end, higher-price-point store. But I get service there. They have people. Professionals. I'll be to the first to admit it, I have a dirty little habit for all things Diesel. As luck may have it, Macy's recently started stocking a fairly decent selection. What I'll also admit to is how much I hate paying full retail price. I'm a a bargain shopper and i will hunt for the best deal possible. I'm sure you're wondering at this point what this has to do with Macy's? Well friends...sales racks, sales racks, sales racks. Unlike your favorite local boutiques, big department stores mark down prices up to 75-80% off. $100 shirts for $20, sure thing, $45 dollar t-shirts for $7 bucks, absolutely at this Macy's. The Green Hills Macy's also has a small selection of Ben Sherman apparel for men, another favorite of mine. Parking is fairly easy if you access the parking garage right next to the Tiger Market off Hillsboro. read more

If I am being honest- I love Macy's. They usually have great sale racks. The workers are normally friendly. The stores are normally clean. Well... This store has changed my opinion. Also, if you decide to go and park in the garage- park on the first, second, or fourth levels. We parked on the third and had to take a scary set of stairs to get to the fourth level. 1. Yes- the store was clean. But the workers (especially the ones downstairs) were rude. I was looking to spend and couldnt find anyone to help me. The workers in my section were too busy chit chatting to help me. I ended up having to go upstairs before I could find help. 2. One of the tops I did find was missing its tag. No big deal- right? Wrong. Turns out- they have no way of looking anything up. Once I was told I would have to go back to where I found it- I started to panic. Lucky for me- the worker didn't make me go downstairs to figure it out. I think she realized I was about to leave without buying anything. 3. Lastly- this store had the smallest plus size collection of any Macy's I have ever seen. I have been to probably 10 or more and again, I was amazed at the small selection. She would always taking me shopping there in the teens section and she has always been a fan of their products, which has been a big influence on me today as an adult. Two-Point-Take: 1. Get a Macy's credit card if you're a frequent shopper there. 2. Shop on the weekends for bigger discounts. Macy's is one of the few department stores that I'll take my time at and actually browse through the racks. I like their selections and their sales! I'm also part of their star rewards program so the extra coupons are always a great perk. I recently had to do a lot of purchasing and exchanging in their home department and the customer service at this store was so helpful and cooperative. They also have a larger in-store selection available so if you're working on your wedding registry, I totally suggest doing it at this Macy's. I bought a $400 bracelet here and then had to return it because the clasp kept opening. It was under warranty so it shouldn't have been a problem. I had to go to multiple service desks before reaching the jewelry section, because oddly the store is set up to only accept jewelry returns in the jewelry section. This is really inconvenient considering how many levels there are, it not a small store. I stood in the jewelry section for over 10 minutes looking for a cashier. A woman came up to help two other ladies but ignored me. I had to go up and ask where I could do returns and she just grunted "here." She barely spoke to me aside from asking if I took the tags off (I hadn't). I guess I wasn't dressed nice enough to get treated like a customer. I'll go to a real jewelry store next time, at least I won't be treated rudely and have to search through a maze to find service. read more

I want to thank all the sales people I came into contact with; the entire department at Green Hills Macys in Nashville TN were ANGELS. I think most of the reviews here are very unjust, and that people are very self entitled today and do not respect those who work a retail job. Everyone bent over backwards to help all the customers; they worked as fast as they could to accommodate people. The pressure they were under, oh my I could not take the attitude of some customers, I would snap! It's 2017 people wake up!! There was no stock, obviously not their fault. I just went home and spent the evening shopping online instead. I bought about a dozen pair, and simply returned any that didn't work out. The returns all went through smoothly; I did make a point of arriving first thing 10 am before it got busy. I would suggest to all the ornery mean people who don't want to be respectful to sales people, to shop online at home! I wish I could name all the names, but thanks to everyone in the department, about 8 people I came into contact with all wonderful. I realized i needed shoes badly, and after considering couture shoes, there was no way i was going to pay 1500 dollars for narrow ill fitting shoes no better than the 200 dollar shoes. Even better is when the 200 dollar shoes are on sale for 80, or 40! Welcome to a shoe sale at Macys. Better yet, Macys ONLINE. I bought about a dozen pairs. I have given up on finding shoes in my actual size, which is 7-71/2 B heel E width, it doesn't exist. I now buy mostly 8 1/2 and 9, and stopped struggling with the pain of "breaking in" shoes! Try it, it also leaves room for gel soles or other shoe inserts and layering socks. Now if i can just find the ideal brown suede or faux suede boot. The over all quality of all consumer goods has dipped, so this season they showed a lot of faux suedes, velvets and other leather options. You have to look out for the brands that maintain some quality and look like the higher end versions. Many brands have downgraded and it's disappointing. Other newer brands have popped up that have very high style, quality and more width than the older brands. I bought a half dozen pairs of booties all with the moulded soft type soles, and they were all wearable out of the box. I've had a lot of very bad consumer experiences in Nashville, most at hyped up millennial run restaurants, bars and coffeeshops. I think most of these comments are unjustly made by spoiled people who don't realize how understaffed all retail establishments are in Nashville currently are. That's the price of a wealthy it city and not enough young people who work starter jobs anymore. Everyone's a "brand" by 20 years old. Hum I think Macys has been a brand for over 100 years!! Retail sales people aren't your slaves. If you can't be pleasant polite person, shop online at home! read more

I went to this Macy's to buy jewelry for my bridesmaids for my upcoming wedding. I first went to the fine jewelry counter and the woman there was extremely nice, helpful and patient. I then moved to a different counter to look for silver necklaces. Since I was making a big purchase, the first woman had suggested I open a Macy's account to save on that day's purchases. Due to the pleas of the lady at the second counter, I let her assist me in opening that line of credit. She was horrifically bad at it!! It took this woman 1.5 hours to sign me up for a credit card. She offered no explanation for why it was taking so long; she offered no kindness. She also overcharged me for shipping two necklaces from Chicago. She claimed that each necklace would cost almost $20 to mail! She nearly ruined my pleasant experience at that store. Luckily, the woman at the fine jewelry counter called over the floor manager and together they were able to correct the mistakes that had been made. I later received my credit card and was credited the bogus shipping charges amount, so no worries there. And funny enough, when the manager came over to help, lady #2, who had been causing all the mess, ran away and had disappeared! It was a wretched experience at that one counter with lady #2. Luckily, the kindness of the other two employees at this Macy's managed to turn around my experience at the store and that's why I awarded 4/5 stars. They turned a painful experience into a pleasant one. I left the store feeling as though they had really gone out of their ways to make it better for me. Put on a safari hat because this is a great place to hunt for good deals. I have to admit the sale rack at Macy's is one of the best places to score high dollar outfits for rock bottom prices. I feel if you wait long enough, it will eventually go on sale. This includes shoes, clothes, and accessories. I have gotten some pretty cool dresses for under 40 dollars on my last trips that were upwards to 100 dollars. So take time to go through the racks, no matter how messy they are, you will be sure to get some treasures. read more

Hello Everyone, this is very important warning. Beware of Macy's! if I could I would have all of you shop anywhere but there. Their customer service is deplorable in the store and at their customer service. And shamefully their corporate office is even worse. I will not go into everything but here is the short version, which is rather lengthy. As some of you know I am going to have double knee replacement surgery. So I needed an adjustable bed. So I found what could have been perfect a twin XL on sale. So I ordered it on line and to my surprise it was delivered in just a few days. Problem was I did receive my twin XL mattress but instead of the adjustable base I got a queen mattress. Not to worry there is a simple solution right, wrong I called and spoke with a very nice woman she sound confused as how to fix the problem but she finally got it done. Have the base sent and when it is delivered pick up the queen mattress. Should be easy. Not for Macy's. They showed up to get both mattresses, with no bed frame. I told them they would have to come back with my frame or when Macy's gives me my money. So I called the corporate number 513-579-7000, well for your F.Y.I. don't bother all it will do is take you back to choice that do not include talking to anyone except customer service. So I called the store closest to me which is in Green Hills TN. I could never get through to the mattress department after numerous attempts. So I tried the makeup counter the MAC counter to be exact around noonish, today 2/25/2019 a woman answered. I explained I needed to speak to the store manager, I was told there wasn't one. I asked how can that be her reply was I don't know there just aint. Her word not mine. I told her someone there has to be in-charge. And she hung up on me. So now I am mad I called her back and asked to speak to someone with an I.Q. higher than 50. She hung up again. I expected as much I just wanted to call her stupid. So now I am livid, I call back to the store but this time the shoe department, all I want is a manager. This time I do get a department manager, I explained part of my problem, I was upset and I was talking very stern but I was neither shouting nor using profanity. But I was only a bee's eyelash away. And this so called professional hung up on me. So I call the furniture /mattress department customer service again. Waited 18 minutes talked to a woman named Becky and after I explained everything she transferred me to a manager. He was a very drole sounding man; he sounded as if he was totally bored and could care less. Mistake 1! Then as our conversation grew to the end I told him this is what I wanted from Macy's I want a full refund and I want it now then UPS can come get the mattresses. He said ok, said give me a minute. He came back on line and said it was all set and UPS will pick up the mattresses tomorrow. I asked when will my money be back in my account. His reply in 10-14 business days. Mistake 2! Never lie to me. I know they are just waiting to make sure they receive their mattresses before I get my refund. So we are at a stalemate. I am sending out these notices to all of you to please boycott Macy's for at least 6 months. This includes their affiliates which include Bloomingdale's, I. Magnan, Sterns, Marshall Fields, and Filene's. Also please send this request to everyone on your email list. Oh and if you don't mind please post on you social media accounts. Oh and if there is something you want from Macy's excreta, notify me and I will make it my business not only to find a store that has the same thing but for less money also. I came here with my fiancee to start our wedding registry, and was helped by a few kind ladies in the registry department. They set us up with an account, a scanner and a helpful list to start out with. They made it quick and easy to start, so we began scanning right away. The selection at this Macy's was not as large as some of the large city Macy's I have been to, so we had to supplement with online picks later on. This Macy's was slightly disorganized in the bedding department, and didn't have all the luggage items and bedding items in stock that we had hoped. But Macy's is a really great place to register because they are all over the nation and they have a great cash back system, as long as you sign up for a Macy's card. Macy's is a standard in wedding registries for a reason, but if you can, I would try to find a larger Macy's with a better selection to start yours. read more

These girls appear to all be 'friends" with each other and if they are in the middle of their conversation then good luck getting any help! And another thing, I really do not want to hear about all your personal garbage.
